Friendly reminder that the popular vote in an electoral college system is basically meaningless.

With an Electoral College system, the turnout rates for Republicans and Democrats in certain states is artificially lowered by many residents of those states feeling that their vote doesn’t matter because their state “always goes red/blue”.

The 3 most significant cases of this are Texas, California, and New York. Republicans in New York and California pretty much always have low turnout due to the fact that they are simply too outweighed by Democrats to flip those states. Other examples include Oregon and Washington, where 1 or 2 blue cities basically outweigh the rest of the state.

There’s no reason to believe that even if we had a popular vote system, which is far easier to rig by the way, that Donald Trump would not have won.

Pokemon Region Theory that I came up with

I have a theory, I think they give rhyming names to consecutive regions and give a gap after 4 regions

Kanto <--> Jhoto

Hoenn <--> Sinnoh

Unova is left

Kalos <--> Alola

Gen 8 and 9 will also have rhyming names and then Gen 10 won't have rhyming name with Gen 11. Idk if it's official or not, I came up with it on my own. Rhyming here is more of alliteration and assonance.
