Death Note canon thing
Okay, as I see LxLight anything on almost any given Death Note blog, I wanted to put my own personal thing out there.
First Up, L.
L Lawleit was home when his mother was killed, he was about 6 years old, and the person who did it was a close family member. The reason why he would always eat sweets is because after a long day him and his mother would eat sweets together, so he wanted to hold on to that as much as possible. As he grew up he felt guilt because he could do nothing about his mothers death so he trained himself to be a detective. As time went past, he started to train two others to be the same in case something happened to him.
In come Nate River and Mihael Keehl. L saw aspects of himself in both of these kids. The child of himself in Nate (Near) and the determination in Mihael (Mellow). So he trained both of them in case something happened to him. (which we all know he does die…)
(L probably saw a brother like figure in Light and due to his past he did not want to lose him, emotionally or physically, hence why he chained himself to him.)
SIDE NOTES AND SHIT
*L’s mother was of English decent and his father Japanese
*Watari is either his grandfather on his dad’s side or a very close family friend (who happened to have a child genius home)
*He truly liked Misa and easily got along with her and they became good friends
*Like Light, he has sociopathic tendencies as seen in his lack of showing emotion and persona (but not full sociopath just certain bits show he has tendencies don’t freak out)
*L is asexual (does not have any sexual desires)
*L had a slight crush on Misa and felt extreme guilt for holding her captive
(*Nate chose his look to be more like L, who is an older brother/father figure to him)
