I highly doubt they’d close the app before they release Devil Homura. They definitely are aware of how much she’s in demand and that alone would keep the app going for at least a year.
Since the third season was supposed to come out during this time, that’s why the anime versions are appearing. That’s the theory I’ve been seeing going around at least.
A theory I saw for Holier Mami was that Scene 0 was originally planned to come out during that time but then the anime was pushed back.
If these theories are correct, then Scene 0 will start at the end of the anime sometime in May.
Ok, so I’ve seen some people worried that, with some of the lazier units (anime versions) that’ve been released and parts of the game that have felt rushed recently, Magia Record might be on the decline. I’m here to calm those worries! Because I wholeheartedly believe that we can 100% count on this game to keep going.
The main reason why is all the upcoming animated projects relating to madoka. The anime adaptaion’s upcoming third season, scene 0, and the long awaited madoka movie 4. Keep in mind, we don’t even have release dates for those last two yet. When they release, especially movie 4, it’ll probably generate a lot of interest in madoka again, and the game by extension. Since this will probably be the last of the three to release (and movies take a long time to make) I can safely say that there’s no way the games going anywhere until then, and probably not for a long while after either
Some other stuff to consider is that it looks like the third season is going to be very rushed, so some of the game staff might’ve been brought on to lighten the load. Or maybe they’re taking a break with some fluff to plan out more serious things. Or that it’s around a holiday and in the wake of that they just threw something out there. Who knows. But I think we’ll be ok for a good while yet

On one hand, if the anime ver. trend follows, we’ll empty the list of uncapped characters soon. Sasara finally got some love despite not being on the uncap list this year and others might soon follow.
But on the other hand, are they serious? Are they deadass?
