it seems like everyone i follow on tumblr is posting copious amounts of dragon age, and i feel it is pertinent to say that i’ve seen a lot of things: an ostensibly traitorous egg person, a horrific bull human hybrid, romantic british redcoat dances, pirates, magic, violence, soft porn of every orientation combination, sad white haired anime elves…yes, i’ve seen it all. what have i not seen? even one single dragon.
#honestly#so the the other day my sister and I were trying to piece together Dragon Age based on what we know from tumblr#it was... well#we are clear on the point that there are a lot of romantic interests#but no dragons#it's ok I'm sure you people are having fun even without dragons. somehow.

So, I tried to write a comprehensive post on why you should all listen to Gallifrey, but it… just kinda turned into a Leela & Romana shipping appreciation post.
Oops. I really do love the other characters too, I promise. Brax, Narvin, K9, don’t feel too left out.
At the same time I’m not actually sorry I still think this might convince some of my followers to listen to Gallifrey, if only because a science fiction show starring two complicated, brilliant women with a lot of angst and romantic chemistry is such a rare thing. So I kept it spoiler free and non-Whovian friendly. (Yes, Gallifrey is a spin-off of Doctor Who. No, you don’t need to be a classic Who fan or a Who fan at all to enjoy it.) I… I just really really really really really need some people to cry about this ship with, ok.
So without further ado, let’s move on to the feature presentation: Why There Aren’t Enough Words In The English Language To Describe My Love Of Romana and Leela: A Post.
#dear person who somehow found and reblogged this: thank you I had forgotten about this post#in between the GitS spam I'm going to bring it back#HELLO DEAR READER HAVE YOU SEE THE LIGHT OF GALLIFREY YET

Hum. how can the guy take pressure from his pymaric, if the pressure aspect is inside the khert of the pymaric's first material?
That is its purpose. It’s a pymaric stuffed full of explosive pressure that you draw out through a khert-line in the little metal spigot at the top. Like an Aspect battery, so you have more options in an environment with few useful materials. I suppose I could have shown a clearer shot of it but the dude described what it was pretty clearly a few pages ago.
Some pymarics really are a solid bulb of First Glass with no easy conduit out. Those are the ones that need to be thrown and smashed, like a grenade. They’re designed for civvies like Ephsephin or Sette to use. A pro wright is going to have one he can draw from.
#well-developed magic systems are my favorite thing#I'm going to reblog these posts about pymary until you all read Unsounded out of sheer curiosity#(and then you will have the aspect of EMOTIONAL PAIN transferred onto you; have fun)#Unsounded

?_? which one?
some shippers on twitter/tumblr trying to launch a "campaign" to get reboot!k/s canon without the slightest regard for the implications re: Uhura.
the ?_? response is extremely heartening tbh
vulcanbiologist replied to your post: .
can i reblog this?
Rather not; I didn't make a proper post out of it 'cause I mostly wanna just stay away from the fray outside of a quick note. Thanks for checking.

It is endlessly hilarious to me how reality gets garbled in dreams. Last night, dream!me was talking about Star Trek, but couldn't remember Avery Brooks' name, so I called him Benjamin (origin obvious) Carpenter (a reference to Jesus, I think?).
Also, dream!me was confident that Picard's first name was John. John Picard. Amazing.
