Why will I pursue my college?
Only answer: my mother. I want to continue my dreams for my mother because she hasn't completed hers, and it's one of my mission in life to do so because she has been there to understand and support me in order for her kids to not experience what she had to go though. My mom is one of the people in the Manobo Tribe unfortunately, since her family has the lack of financial resources they never had a complete ancestry record, just pure memories passed down to us.
My mother never finished her college degree in elementary education, she's a smart, dedicated, talented and will be willing to do anything to pursue her dreams but fate didnt let her do so, the money that she lacks are needed for it. She got into many jobs, many places and met many people like my father. She worked in Antipolo, with barely food in her hands she takes random weeds outside the garden's and grasses of Oreta. Mama met my father and eventually got married because of me, now her goal is to only provide for us and, I want to do the same.
At a young age, I discovered my talent in drawing, from disney princesses on notebook covers and animations, I decided to take an animation course. I had my life in the future carefully planned even if my parents still provide for my colleges, I will do literally anything to get them out of financial burdens by doing jobs and finishing my college for my dream career. Since our family is also struggling financially at this moment, my mother suggested I go to a state university but all of them never had my course there, my mom had a change of mind and let me pursue my dream career so here I am, still fighting for my diploma and my deteriorating mental health just to finish and be fulfilled at my best by making my mom proud.
After analyzing thiss situation of mine, I realized that only the people in my life kept me moving, the words, actions and inspiration all mattered to me to keep going. The matter of pursuing my college is never my only fulfillment but for the better of others.

What does Lent mean to me?
Before I transitioned to Iglesia ni Cristo because of my family, I did partake in Catholic events such as Lent. As a kid, I thought it was just us parading and re-enacting the life of Jesus Christ, it was actually more than that.
Seeing catholics do the activities in the Lenten Season are fascinating, I don't see the events physically but I've seen a lot of documentaries & broadcast media cover this up every year. The dedication and the effort they'd for this are applaudable, for an instance, actors standing still and the burning rays of sun hitting them; remaining still in order to demonstrate the life and sacrafices of Jesus Christ to make us righteous of God. Fasting and abstinence is also part of the Lent, people loves to indulge in food and we know that but, the patience it takes to have a one meal a day for 3 days is masterful.
Religion is supposed to be an example of unity and humility alongside of people in or out of it, by setting a great example as a man of god by following and sharing his words unto others are what Christ would've wanted us to do. Aside from different beliefs we have regarding christianity is that we are going along the path of peace and prosperity, with different actions but the same mission to serve God.
Though, I have conflicts with my conflicts with religions, I had a fare share of nostalgia and admiration for those who actually follow what Jesus Christ is advocating about: Peace, love, forgiveness & most importantly worship.

Analysis
Introduction:
1. Writer's Name - Yen Valencia
2. The Title - 'Pandesal' and other cravings
3. Thesis Statement - While time continues and experiences are universal, the specific memories and attachments we form with objects and experiences make them uniquely ours.
Summary:
This essay was made by an upcoming Grade 12 STEM student sharing her sentiments during her yeats of life. This article explores how we hold onto the past with objects that often reminds us of it, the author starts acknowledging the bittersweetness of aging and how it makes us cherish childhood memories because one day if we wake up, the memories (eating a pandesal) might be the last bite of it. They then stated that even an ordinary worn bag or a specific food (Pandesal) can become a strong keepsakes. These seemingly ordinary items for us do hold an impact of memories and often are fond of it because of the nostalgia it gives. The author told that these attachments are a way to preserve ourselves and fight against the passage of time.
Evaluation:
The author's thesis statement is well on point, sentimentality in things are described with excellence using the author's own experience in her life. It is a pretty simple essay which makes it readable for ordinary readers even if it's a small article, the contents are not too much but not too short, just the enough amount to make her point.
Even though this essay is a short read, it's an articulated and well narrated essay. There is also no technical mistakes, but the contents remain intact in a way that it is in order and the author's point is still there.
Conclusion: As a student, this essay has been a relatable one and it makes it easy to understand for me. She associates things well with others, used words to describe nostalgia with detail and the importance of sentiments in life that we carry on. It is a great read because I can associate her 'Cravings for Pandesal' to my Urge to draw freely again like a child I was back then. Though aging is overwhelming, we can have all these things to look back on and reflect. Because time truly passes that fast.

IMAGERY Pt. 2

My friend handed me her food that her mom made. As I opened the lunch box, I was greeted with a stale looking banana bread, but you know what they say "Don't judge a book by its cover.". Blinded by my hunger, I immediately devoured the. My mouth was full of flavors ranging between sweet, a hint of cinnamon and coffee from the chocolate chips inside the pastry.

Being greeted by a warm hug from him makes me feel at ease, especially after a long tiring day. I took his rough cold hands into mines and caressed it while we wait for our ride home.

The streets in our place are full of vendors selling variety of food and the air is always filled with appetizing smell. The strongest one being the pungent smell of curry, followed by the smoky barbecue.

IMAGERY

I sigh myself in relief, this made the essence of the room is exactly what I wanted. Feeling the breeze of the misty atmosphere the rain gave, joined by the flares of lightning framing my round face. This weather is perfect.
The sound of murmur reaches my senses farther than the rain's crisped noises. Letting a puff ut of frustration, deciding just to stare at the scenery. CLAP! My peace was disturbed by a defeaning round of thunder, taking me by suprise.
