were they on a holiday? she'd gotten to take her shoes off at galdin, but the boardwalk had been too hot to walk on then without her shoes, so her dad had put her on his shoulders and the view from up there had been so cool - she could see angelgard and all the people swimmin' and playin' on the beach.

and the lady who cooked the food at the place there had been so nice too and she'd given her cookies to eat. the man sittin' on the bench near the boat had been funny too, joking with her papa and then he'd given her a pretty little bracelet with a red stone on it too!

and then she'd gotten to go on a big boat, but she didn't remember too much other than it was bumpy because she'd fallen asleep for a little while, until he papa had woken her up to tell her they'd arrived.

all the other folks rushed t'get off the boat, bumpin' into each other and elbowin' each other t'try and be the first off, kimi wrapped an arm round her papa's leg to make sure she didn't get knocked over in the rush.

but then her papa lifted her up onto his shoulders again and kimi instinctively ran her little fingers through his hair when he settled her on his shoulders - none o' them folks were gonna knock her over up here! and she could see waaaaaay more from up here!

she could see the fancy boats they called gonda-somethins, and all the pretty banners with all the pretty colours, tons of balloons, an' there were moogles! and chocobos! kicking her legs as she let out an excited squeal, kimi felt her balance rock, but then her papa caught her ankles and all was okay again.

' y'mean it? y'ain't gotta go on a hunt over here or nuthin'? daddy - can we play some o' the games? '
