I finished this wig. I think I found a good look for him so he'll get to keep his face, lol. I won't lie, the flock gave me a serious hassle and I just wanted the darn thing done. So, it needs touchups in a few spots and my daughter pointed out the pentagram is upside down. Oops. I started on another wig idea. It's not done yet but I like this so much better! I'm probably going to do the forward Mohawk but I had to play around a little too. I may still make a longer brown wig but so far I like this. So Zak is done but I'm not sure how I feel about him. I don't know if it's his eyes or wig or the faceup or all three that I don't like. I want to start over but, maybe I should sit with him a bit and see if I feel differently. Now it's on to my dragon knight! I did another set of eyes. I think I like these better. I think the yellow really adds to them verses all red. I started his wig cap too. I'd like to give him red hair but with the red armor it might be too much. Maybe I'll do black with red and yellow streaks? Elf Zak's sythes are done. For a first try I'm not displeased. I know how I'd improve them in the future, and I might at some point, but for now, these are good. A couple more fun ones. I've found through Dolltober and now I really enjoy making photos/ scenes with my dolls. It's way more challenging than it appears, especially to get them to pose relaxed and natural and looking in the right direction. I got a little further on Elf Zak's sythes (now making two handed vs double ended). While they dried I made some eyes for my eventual dragon knight. I haven't added the top layer of resin yet. I was just experimenting with colors & pigment /paint. I changed my mind on the foam base for Elf Zak's sythe. I decided to try acrylic instead. I think this is a better medium for my vision (since a sythe should look metal). This is just the start so far. I fought with my cutter to get the design right then used the scroll saw to cut it out. Started looking at inspiration & comparing to my crew. I'm trying to decide if I want to attempt a Dragon Knight and who would best fit.
