My last adventure was a trip to Israel right before stay at home orders began in San Francisco. I am dreaming of this beautiful day where I hugged a stranger. There was music, tea, warmth, and talk of love.

Halloween is approaching and we get to spend extra time appreciating the macabre. I love painting skulls, there are so many nooks and crannies to explore. So many areas for the light to catch, and so many areas the light cannot reach. They are simply fascinating.

I adore lilies! They cannot be in my house because of my cats - but the walls are covered with lily paintings. I think they are such dramatic, and a bit silly, flowers. They brighten my walls and my mood every time I look at them!

Making some progress on a new portrait in oils. Love watching the painting grow and develop. There is such a push and pull to portrait painting to create a balanced work - it is such a theraputic process.

Working on a large (30 x 40"), abstract painting. I am loving the flow and the contrast in this painting. I have been trying to balance large sweeping movements and areas with small details.

Still tinkering away at this large kumquat tree oil painting. Trying to really take my time and I still have a long way to go. Loving the movement, it has a very sweet feel.
