hey good morning im here again and wanted to make a post about why i think the relationship between allen and lavi is so enjoyable to see, whether u see it as romantic or platonic, and i think it has to do with how they bring the kid out of each other

reading dgrays it’s rly easy to get caught up in the tough situations and inner and outer conflicts each character is going through and the big picture and the war theyre fighting etc etc but what i keep seeing whenever lavi and allen interact is how they each bring out each other’s playfulness and stubborness and yeah theyre fighting these horrible monsters but theyre competing to see who killed more and using rock paper scissors to decide who has to crack open a coffin and getting each other into trouble and laughing at each other and

when they do it’s hard to forget that these are two teenagers who care about each other and their friends in a time when it’s really hard to do so. And it’s both enjoyable and sad because it really reminds you that these are kids fighting in a war. and theyre constantly desperately grasping any opportunity for levity ;v;

the best thing about the 2.1 archon quest is that it basically vindicates my belief in how important the anemo element is to the traveller (who i will just call lumine since i use her for my game LOL) which,, i have cried about before,,,

lumine being the embodiment of freedom and simultaneously being protected by those associated with it (aka anemo users) near the end of each archon arc is just,, *chef’s kiss* poetic cinema

xiao saves lumine from falling to her doom in liyue. narratively speaking, this absolutely makes no sense to me LMAO xiao isn’t the warmest character and lumine had friendlier relations w the other adepti, but xiao jumps directly to lumine in this scene and i swoon every day thinking about the little hand holding afterwards.

we get the lantern rite event too, which is just a date?? but also xiao exploring what freedom for him (and his nation) means outside of his contract with rex lapis. which is very interesting to me, because it follows the question from mondstadt’s quest (venti’s infamous “what does freedom really mean, when demanded of you by a god?”)

and then kazuha re-awakens his friends’ electro vision to save lumine from the raiden’s musou no hitotachi. this is the only known instance we have that someone can wield two different visions simultaneously (the traveller of course doesn’t count bc they don’t even HAVE a vision in the first place lmao), even if it only happens for barely a second. kazuha’s trigger is a desire to protect the ones he cares for, and eventually finding the courage to stand up to raiden shogun.

the funny thing about this is that the line kazuha hears (“there will always be those who dare to brave the lightning’s glow”) reminds me oddly of venti’s friend, the nameless bard, standing up against the tyranny of decarabian.

and though this happens first, i truly believe venti is going to be to blame for lumine’s personal anemo protection squad so i put him last LOL this is a fairly popular (??) reading for venti’s actions facing off with la signora, so i’ll just link it here. but generally, i do believe that venti prioritizes protecting lumine over his own safety against la signora.

but don’t you find it interesting that both xiao and kazuha, both having canonically protected lumine during the archon quests, still somehow link back to the ideals of the archon who gave them their vision?

which brings me to my roundabout point that thematically speaking, i love that venti is always looking out for lumine, even if it isn’t necessarily him there to protect her. there’s a reason why the traveller resonates w anemo and finds venti first. venti’s always going to be the closest archon to lumine, and it shows when the next time they meet, she doesn’t even press what happened to khaenri’ah when she confronted zhong li right after his quest and asked yae when they’re wrapping up the inazuma arc.

anyway, tl:dr; i’m obsessed with the recurring trope where an anemo character saves lumine at the final arc for each nation’s quest and i can’t wait to see who we’re going to get for sumeru LOL

AA!!!! Goes bonkers jumping off the walls because I love them. I feel like these hcs to be split into two categories so,

Before they’re in a relationship:

▲ Enma is the one who falls for Tsuna first but he has no idea how to approach these feelings. Tsuna is oblivious and then he realizes he has a crush on Enma back. Reborn is aware of both and he’s so tired of them tiptoeing around it, he tries to goad Tsuna into making the first move

▲ It’s just mutual pining central for awhile. They’re both disasters. Surprisingly, Tsuna is indeed the one who confesses to Enma first. I just love the thought of Tsuna taking initiative specifically for Enma because he knows how anxious he is, he understands that

▲ This is from a conversation with @basedkhr​ and @prideshark​. Before they were even dating, I-pin is a huge romantic and thought they were so cute together. She tries to set up a dinner consisting of one (1) plate of Japanese spaghettiOs that they have to share and Tsuna is so embarrassed

▲ It’s not just I-pin. When Enma visits, Lambo will answer the door and yell “TSUNA YOUR BOYFRIEND’S HERE” and Tsuna has to pick him up and tell him to stop. It turns into a wrestling match because Lambo is a menace. Enma is just standing there

While they’re in a relationship:

▲ Not really a headcanon because I feel like this is a given but they’re just... so soft. They love each other so so much and they’ve both been through a lot, together and individually.

▲ They’re teenagers and neither of them have money, so their dates consist of getting vending machine snacks together, sitting by that river where they first talked, or watching movies at each other’s houses. Nothing remotely fancy, just talking and being in each other’s presence

▲ From @cloudhayato, Enma’s love language is physical touch. He’ll always be holding Tsuna’s hand, or standing close enough to brush shoulders, or just leaning on him while they’re sitting. Tsuna’s love language is both quality time and gift giving. He likes finding small things that remind him of Enma and it makes him happy to see the latter light up upon receiving it

▲ Enma takes Tsuna along when he goes to feed the stray cats! They agree to get a cat together one day because they’re both afraid of dogs

▲ They talk about the future together a lot. A less chaotic time where they can live together and it makes them really happy to think about

▲ Enma kinda helps him become more comfortable with being a boss. Tsuna has always felt like it was a responsibility forced into his life, by his dad, by Reborn, by the Ninth. Enma had turned that responsibility into a choice because he cares about his family and wants to change things for them and make them happy, and still reassures Tsuna that he has a choice too. Tsuna thinks about it and decides yeah, I want to do this for my friends because I love them. 

Bonus:

▲ Ryohei doesn’t know they’re dating. Never gets a clue. They’re sitting on a bench together talking and he just grabs them both and makes them run with him. They watch a movie together and he divebombs inbetween them and changes the channel to boxing and screams “EXTREME”
