Work Place Disabilities

Disability in the workplace is a common thing that we seek to improve on for a more diverse and comfortable atmosphere/ workplace. Disability is looked upon positively in the workplace and in fact reports have shown there is a big benefit in hiring those who have disabilities and providing the accommodation. According to the US department of labor, the accommodations requested by the employees are low cost and reasonable such as, scheduling flexibility, and alteration in dress code. Thompson) This is something business owners need take into consideration with their employees. To avoid making a bad morale consider yourself in one’s shoes. They break down studies of corporate websites and disabled access as well as the studies of representation of disability and accessibility in mass media by business, designing accessible business communication classrooms, and focused studies of document highlights such as language, page layout, and visual design .
