Lil Dicky
Almost everyday a new rapper is discovered. Usually one small thing is what hits the rapper off to the life of fame and riches. It may be a catchy song that later turns into a catchy annoying ringtone, just like soulja boy. Or it may even be a depressing song that almost EVERYONE listens to constantly, in the case of Bryson Tiller. Either way, there is always one small characteristic in each rapper which sets them up for success. David Andrew Burd aka Lil dicky, became slowly famous off of his funny music and music videos.
It all started with “Ex-Boyfriend”. The song starts off with cute lyrics with Lil Dicky describing how beautiful “Katie”; who is his girlfriend in the song. Than in the middle of verse one he talks about how his girlfriend is a virgin and has only dated one guy. She is ready to “get it on” with Dicky when suddenly everything changes and they both run into her ex boyfriend. After watching the music video, you can see all the hard work he put into it to make the funny song into a realistic funny video. After the music video got over one million views he realized he might have something going on here. He later created a video explaining to fans his vision and created a kickstarter asking anyone to donate so he can start creating more and more music. The month long campaign raised over $110,000;which allowed him to tour and create more music.
Next he got signed to CMSN and dropped his debut album Professional Rapper. Lil Dicky has a different style of rapping where he blends in his comedy and music styles together. Almost every song off this album is completely funny. Except for “Molly”, where Lil Dicky gets emotional and raps about a past relationship which just didn’t end off well. Right when you open the music video and start to watch it, you start to think “wow! This is so cute!”. But right when 2:15 hits, everything is going to die out and all emotions will come out. This song is so beautifully written and well crafted. Especially with the amazing hook done by Brendon Urie. This music video got more than one million views in less than 24 hours. Once you start listening to Lil Dicky’s music and start watching his hilarious music videos you will understand the emotion and hardship it took to write this song.
Lil Dicky is a creative rapper which deserves more credit for. It*s not everyday you hear a rapper rapping about comedy and releasing music videos with an animated penis dancing with a six pack. Or a rapper who stars in a trojan condom commercial.
I recommend the following songs:
Molly feat. Brendon Urie
$ave Dat Money
Ex-Boyfriend
Lemme Freak

Come Over When You’re Sober 2
This week’s blog is going to be based on one of my favorite albums, Come Over When You’re Sober 2 by Lil Peep. This album was released on November 9, 2018. I remember the day this album came out I was sooo excited. This album is actually not that bad. Especially it being songs that Lil peep probably didn’t finish before his passing. The album starts off with the song Broken Smile (My All). Not going to lie, this song touched my heart. Especially because during this time I was going through things. It’s about this girl who’s going through things on her own and peep is talking about she being the one and he was going to help her out. This song is one of my favorite songs off the album. The next song would have to be Sex With My Ex. I can’t relate to that song at all but I honestly just love the vibe of the song. It starts off slowly and then just the beat drops and it gets faster. This song was actually one of the first songs to be released before the album. It was leaked on June 1st 2018 through Youtube and SoundCloud. This song just has a fun, good vibe. The next song would be 16 Lines. The song is just slow and peaceful which I really like. This song was also leaked but quickly taken down on June 14 on SoundCloud. A crazy story about the background behind this song is in the song he questions his girlfriend/ex of her loyalty and right after he passed away his ex started dating his friend Killstation. CRAZY. The next song is Life Is Beautiful. This song is also another slow, peaceful song. This song is mixed with one of his first songs, Life. In this song, Peep shares with us many different things. These would include : life, death and depression. He talks about the negatives on life but also talks about the beauty behind being alive. It’s something that I think is cool. The way he talks about it all. These are just a few songs I really do like. This album is just really really good and I think we should all give it a try

Beyonce- Lemonade
Guess what’s back everyone? Beyonce finally brought back Lemonade back to Apple Music. She actually made it available on all streaming devices. Some background on Lemonade, it was released on April 23, 2016 on Apple Music. A little after, they took it down. 3 years later, they released it again and this time on every streaming device. The first time it was released I didn’t take my time to listen to it. But this time I finally decided to listen to it all. It’s honestly not as great as I thought it would be. There's only five songs that I really like. The first song is probably a song everyone loves, Sorry. It is the 4th song on the tracklist. This song is definitely a break up. But it’s more of a f*** you type of song. It isn’t a break up/crying song. It’s a upbeat song which is very catchy. Gives a “sorry, not sorry” type of vibe. The next song is another well known song. It’s the second track, Hold Up. This song is another powerful song. It gives the “no one got you the way I got you” type of vibe. She shares how much she loves her partner but at the time talks about how his loyalty. This song is mixed with slow but also upbeat music. The next song is track five, 6 inch. This song is featured by The Weeknd. This song is for all the women out there. Beyonce sings about working hard and to keep making their money. Kinda hinting that we don't need a man to do things for us. The next song is Love Drought. This song is really calming. It focuses on trust issues and insecurities in relationships. It’s about giving new energy into a relationship with trust issues and insecurities. The last song is actually my favorite, Sandcastles. This song is a slow beat and kind of depressing but beyonce voice sounds so amazing. This is also another break up song. In the music video, Beyonce has headphones and she's singing while in the background you can see broken things, dead flowers. At the end, it focuses on both her and Jay Z. This song is just very beautiful and I think everyone should give this song a try. Even watch the music video.

Coachella
For this week’s blog I’m going to just talk about Coachella. There are two things that I am going to talk about. The first is going to be Kid Cudi’s performance on the second weekend (April 20). The second thing I am going to talk about is the Sunday Service that was given on Easter.
Kid Cudi: His first performance wasn’t as great as his first. But this can be mostly because he brought out Kanye West. He performed many different songs. Some songs he performed were: Reborn, Father Stretch My Hands Part 1, Ghost Town, Feel The Love (there are probably more). I can’t really give a full explanation on how amazing his performance was because for weekend 2 they didn’t live stream his performance. But based on the videos, both kanye and cudi were really into it. As you can see in the videos below, they are both having fun and dancing around which I think brought most of the energy.
Sunday Service: As you guys may know , Kanye west has been having Sunday Services every Sunday. They aren’t open to the public but everyone was finally able to experience one of these at Coachella. Some background on what exactly Sunday service is for everyone who doesn’t know what it is, it’s pretty much a little concert that Kanye has made with a bunch of gospel singers. One thing that I love about this is not only do they since Gospel songs, but at times they do sing some of Kanye’s songs. For Coachella, Sunday Service has two different services. One took place at 9am-11am and the encore was from 3pm-5pm. Kanye brought out MANY different artists. Some that i can name are Chance the Rapper, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla$ign. Sunday Service just gives out good, positive energy to everyone. Every singer out there has fun with what they are doing. You can really tell how much they love doing this. They did a bunch of Gospel music but they did include some of Kanye’s own songs. Some songs of his that they performed are : Father Stretch My Hands part 1, Fade, Lift Yourself, Power, All Falls Down, Amazing, Ultralight Beam, Jesus Walks, and Fade. There are probably more but these are the ones I do remember. He also did let us hear some new songs he’s been working out. For instance he did play this song that hasn’t been released yet named Water. After seeing everything these actually did another thing that was really cool. They structured themselves a certain way. There’s no confirmation that the reason why they did it was because of this. But a lot of people think they were structured as a CD. Hinting Yandhi CD structure.

Mac DeMarco- Salad Days
For this week’s blog I am going to actually go over an album that I just started to get into. It isn’t a hip hop album like the ones I used to always go over. This artist is actually a mixture of pop, jazz and 70’s soft rock. His name is Mac DeMarco. The album I’m going to go over is Salad Days, which was released on April 1, 2014. This album consists of 11 tracks. I am just going to go over the ones I really do enjoy.
Salad Days: This song is very calming and just a happy song which I love. You can really hear all the beats, which I think is really amazing. Something crazy about this song that it's actually inspired by Shakespeare's play Antony and Cleopatra. As you can tell by the name of the song.
Blue Boy: This song is also very calming, all of his songs are actually calming. This song is actually catchy. This song explains pretty much a teenage boy. It actually can be based on his own teenage life? But nothing confirms it.
Brother: This song is also very catchy. Compared to Blue Boy, it gives us a little more. Blue Boy is actually very short and just repeats itself while this song gives us more lyrics. At one point, the beat gets higher which I really like.
Let My Baby Stay: This song is actually a song I’m pretty sure a lot of people do know about. This song is very calming and kinda sad. The story behind this song is actually pretty sad. So he fell in love with a girl and they both were living in US and she was about to get deported because unlike him, she didn’t have a proper visa.
Treat Her Better: The backstory for this song is also crazy. They haven’t confirmed exactly what this song is about but there is one rumor. This rumor is it’s directed to his former guitarist. I guess a rumor about him beating up his girlfriend Salina.
Chamber of Reflection: This song is actually very known. I really like the beat in the background. It changes and doesn’t stick to the same for most of the song. The synth part is actually borrowed from an Japanese artist.

Tyler, the Creator- Wolf
For this weeks blog I am going to go over Tyler, the creators album Wolf. This is probably my all time favorite album he has made. Wolf was released on April 1,2013. This album consists of 18 songs. I’m not going to go over every single songs, but I am going to go over the songs I really do enjoy. This albums has features from Hodgy, Syd, Frank Ocean,  Lætitia Sadier,  Pharrell Williams, Mike G, Casey Veggies, Domo Genesis, Earl Sweatshirt,  Jasper Dolphin, Lucas Vercetti, Na'kel Smith, L-Boy, Travis Taco, Left Brain, Lee Spielman,  Erykah Badu & Coco O.
Awkward: This song really calms me down for a weird reason. In this song, Tyler gives us a story about this girl he dated. The beat of the song is very calming to me.
Answer (ft. Syd):  Just the beat of this song is great. This song is about his dad not being in his life at all. This is one of the songs, that a lot of people can relate to. Tyler explains exactly how he feels in a good way, a way where other people can feel the same way he does.
48: I don’t exactly know why I like this song. It can just be because of Frank Ocean’s amazing voice. The background of this song is actually pretty crazy. It’s about Sam (main character behind every song) having thoughts, both good and bad, about being a crackdealer.
Colossus: This song to me is actually funny in the beginning until it gets deeper in the song. This song is named after the ride at Six Flags. Tyler explains his experience with one of the fans who was crazy about him. At first, it starts off as him being a big fan and having Tyler as an inspiration to him. But the deeper in the song you go, it turns out to be a guy who likes Tyler wayy more than just being a fan. This song is pretty much their conversation between each other.
PartyIsntOver/Campfire/Bimmer (ft  Frank Ocean & Lætitia Sadier): If you know a lot of Tyler’s music, you would know he has at least one song of a few songs mixed into one. For instance, Flower Boy: 911/Mr. Lonely, Cherry Bomb: F****** Young/ Perfect, Bastard: VCR/Wheels, Goblin: Fish/Boppin’ B****. This is the only one that has three songs mixed into one. This is something I really do enjoy that tyler does. This song is also very catchy, all three of them.
IFHY: To be honest, this song hurts me at times. It’s a song I’ve actually have related to at least twice in my life. This song explains how its hard to hate someone you truly do love. No matter how much they hurt you and just mess with you, you can never truly hate them. IFHY stands for : I f****ing hate you.

Chance The Rapper-Coloring Book
This weeks blog is going to be on Chance the rapper's mixtape Coloring Book. This was the mixtape that made his music get more and more hits. Coloring book is actually known as chances third mixtape. It was released on May 13, 2016. Some little history on this mixtape, it was originally named Chance 3 but when it was released on apple music they renamed it Coloring Book. This mixtape has features from Chicago Children, Kanye West, Francis and the Lights, Jeremih, DRAM, Jamila Woods, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Saba, Justin Bieber, Towkio, Knox Fortune, Jay Electronica, Nicole Steen, Future,  Kirk Franklin, T-Pain, Eryn Allen Kane,Noname,  Ty Dolla $ign, Raury, BJ the Chicago Kid & Anderson .Paak. This mixtape has 14 songs, I’m going to give my thoughts on my favorite songs.
All We Got: The beat of this song is very upbeat. Almost all of Chances music is upbeat which I really do enjoy. This song talks about his life during the making of the mixtape. He kinda explains how music has helped him a lot. I loved how he has a song about music that is also featured by his idol Kanye West. Chance really does look up to Kanye.
No Problem: This was the song that made it really far. It is such a happy song. The beat is even more upbeat than All We Got. This song actually gives me the feeling to get up and dance. This song gives me the feeling that you should live your life freely and not worry about anything. This song is actually about him talking about recording labels that gave him many problems while he was just trying to make music and stay happy.
D.R.A.M. Sings Special: This song is different compared to all we got and no problem. This goes more with his gospel music. This song is very short, the shortest of the mixtapes. But I personally think it’s a beautiful song.
Blessings: This is also another one of his slower, gospel song. This song is also very beautiful. He explains in this song is about the blessing of God when his daughter was born. Not only that but he also talks about the black lives matter movement.
Same Drugs: This is also another slower song. Chance reflects on a girl from his childhood. He explains how they drifted apart and don’t share the same interests anymore. “We don’t do the drugs anymore” Chance doesn’t really share exactly why he uses that phase and talks about drugs but we can hint on maybe it has to do with the girl changing and probably got into drugs. But I can’t confirm that.
Angels: This song is a upbeat song. This song really is him talking about his roots. He talks about his growth as an artist. Not only that, but talks about his Chicago roots and how much eh grew from leaving Chicago.
Juke Jam: This song is also one of the top songs too. It’s a really calming song. I personally don’t like Justin Bieber but in this song, he did really good. The mix of his and Chance’s voice was a good collab.
All Night: This song is such a fun song. It gives me the feeling to get up and dance. The beat is something different. It changes from one time to another. The background of this song is about how people using him just because he is famous now.

BALLADS 1
One artist who is a big hit right now is Joji. I never really cared for Joji’s music. The first song I have ever listened to was Yeah Right. That song I fell in love with. Not until recently have I really taken my time to listen to his albums. My friend David told me to listen to Joji's album BALLADS 1 and after listening to the whole album I fell in love. For this blog I am going to go over my top songs on this album. Now for some background information, BALLADS 1 was released on October 26, 2018. This album consists features from Trippie Redd, D33J, Shlohmo and Clams Casino.
Attention: This song is truly calming. It starts off with a piano and the beat comes in little by little. At one point the whole song drops and at first I personally didn’t like it. But the more and more you hear the song, it will get better. This is a song I think a lot of boys can relate to. It’s about him liking a girl but she decides to give the other guys who hurt her all of her attention. This is my favorite song off of the album.
Slow Dancing In The Dark: This is one of the songs almost everyone knows. It’s his famous song. This is also a really good song. It starts off calming too and the deeper you go in you more you are going to love it. It builds up the intense moment. This song is the continuous song of Yeah Right.
Test Drive: This songs meaning to me is actually pretty cool. Joji uses a metaphor of driving a car to compare it to a failing relationship. Saying the girl doesn’t want a long term relationship while he does. She just wants a “Test Drive”. This song at one point the beat goes down and you can only hear Joji’s beautiful voice, that moment is just everything.
Can’t Get Over You: This song is more of a happier beat. It starts off faster than the other songs. This song is about love on first sight. Its a song about not thinking about what you are doing because you are blinded by love.
Yeah Right: This was the first song I heard of Joji and I fell in love with it. It fit with my mood during the summer. In this song Joji explains him going through a heartbreak. In order of him to get over this girl, he parties a lot and f***s up his life.

$uicideBoy$
This weeks artist I am going to be going over is actually a little group named $uicideBoy$. They aren’t for everyone. Some people actually enjoys their music while others don’t. Let me give you some background information about them. $uicideBoy$ consists of two members, Ruby da Cherry and Scrim (who are cousins). Their music is known to be “emo” rap. They’ve been making music since 2013. You can find all of their music on SoundCloud. Finding their music on Apple Music and Spotify is hard because their mainstream is SoundCloud. In this post I’m going to go over some of the songs I enjoy.
$outh $ide $uicide: This song is featured Pouya. This song mixes the way they rap. Sometimes they rap slower and sometimes they rap fast. This song also changes beats and that something I truly do enjoy in songs.
Runnin’ Thru The 7th With My Woadies: This song is also featuring Pouya. Unlike the other song, this one has a really calming beat. It’s a song that I can chill to. The chorus of the song is very soothing.
Diemonds: This is one of my favorite songs from them. This song also has a really calming beat. My favorite part of this song is towards the end. Around 1:50, it becomes calmer and slower. Thats the part where it becomes more catchy.
Ugly: This song is more of a slower song. I really like the background it says “Life's a b****, and then you die, that's why we get high”  Nas is the artist who says this chorus.
Kill Yourself (Part III): This is one of their famous songs. This is probably their only song that a lot of people know about. This is that one song you hear in all those sad cartoon edits on instagram. This song is also very catchy. It’s somewhat different compared to the other songs I’ve been over. This song is a must to hear.
Kill Yourself : I personally like this song more than all of the other parts of Kill Yourself. I really enjoy the background music and the sound of them rapping. I also really enjoy the background of them singing/humming.
Antarctica: This was my favorite song from them. Sadly, they deleted this song during the summer of 2018. No one really knows why they deleted this song. It is really hard to find this song. But if you do find it, pleaseee listen to it. It’s a really good and calming song.
************Like I’ve said before, $uicideBoy$ isn’t for everyone but if you want to try something new, I do recommend them. Just to give them a try.**********

Childish Gambino
Tumblr media
This week’s blog I am going to be going over one of my favorite artists, Childish Gambino. You may also know him as Donald Glover. He is a very talented guy. He is an American actor, a comedian, writer, producer, director, rapper, singer, songwriter and a DJ. He has made a show called Atlanta and I really recommend this show. In this blog, I am going to be going over some of my favorite songs of his. These aren’t going to be in order or anything.
iii. Telegraph Ave. (Oakland by Lloyd): This song is kinda of a little remix of Lloyd’s song Oakland. It honestly is something peaceful to me. Especially of it having Lloyd’s voice. This song isn’t one of my TOP songs but it is something that I do enjoy listening than most.
3005: This is one of his top known songs. This was the song that I first listened to from him. This song is a really catchy song. Just hearing his voice both singing and rapping is so amazing.
This Is America: This song also was a song that went well known. You probably know this song because of the amazing video and memes made from the video. This song actually has a powerful meaning.
ii. Worldstar: This song at first didn’t care about it. After seeing him in concert, I fell in love with this song. This song talks about http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/. This song really just mocks kids who watch worldstar videos online. This song probably doesn’t seem like a good song but trust me, if you give it a chance you might actually like it.
You See Me: This song goes hard compared to other songs. It’s one of the songs that makes you feel like they are mad because of the way they rap. The beat is kind of an intense beat. The deeper of the song you go in, you can notice him rapping madder and madder.
Boogieman: This song is 100% different compared to these songs I’ve listed. It’s not one of his famous songs but I still really do enjoy this song. The chorus includes many people singing. Kinda sounds like a choir which I like. It’s a peaceful song.
Iv. Sweatpants: This song is just a must if you are going to listen to Childish Gambino. This song is really catchy and actually if you listen to the lyrics, some lyrics are funny. This song is pretty much about him being more successful than other people.
Redbone: This is also another song a lot of people know. I really enjoy this song because of the beat. It’s really peaceful. Not only that, but his voice sounds so different but yet so good.
Me and Your Mama: This is also one of my top songs from him. The beat and background is so different. And the deeper in the song, it changes. The beat changes and it's honestly so amazing. This song has a lot of high notes. Every single time, he hits them perfectly.

K-Dot (part 2)
For this blog I am going to be going over the last 4 albums from Kendrick Lamar. These are the more known albums. The next album is called To Pimp A Butterfly. This album was released on March 15, 2015. The first song that I would recommend is called Wesley’s Theory. This song talks about the idea of Black artists are “pimped” by the entertainment industry. This song really gives me a good vibe. I really like the beat of the song. By the end of the song, his voice changes which I really enjoy. The next song that I would recommend is the thirteenth song which is The Blacker The Berry. The reason why I really like this song because Kendrick really shares the point of view of the black people. He really goes hard on this song. It’s a really powerful song.
The next album is called Untitled unmastered. It was released on March 4, 2016. This is my least favorite album from Kendrick. Why? Mostly because I didn’t feel the meaning of the album. But there are two songs I do enjoy a lot. The first song is untitled 04 | 08.14.2014. This song is one of the songs that I really enjoyed. Kendrick isn’t really in it. This song is a girl singing. The next song is untitled 07 | 2014-2016. This song is more of a up-beat song which I love. In my opinion kendrick should’ve named this song levitate. At one point, the beat changes which I love.
The next album is probably the album that blew up from kendrick. This album would be DAMN. This album was released April 14, 2017. The first song that I would recommend is ELEMENT. This song really is about Kendrick’s struggle and sacrifice in the music industry. This song is also very catchy. The next song is XXX. This is another song that goes hard. It’s featured by U2. This song is a song that goes hard. It’s kinda like he is yelling than he calms down towards the end.
The next album is more of a collab. I wouldn’t consider is to be an album of Kendrick Lamar. But of course I am going to include it. It’s called Black Panther. It’s the track list for the movie. The first song is I AM by Jorja Smith. This song is really really calming, which I love. The next song that I really do love is Paramedic! This song is by SOB X RBE and is featuring Kendrick Lamar. This is almost everyone's power song. Especially it being a song from SOB X RBE, it’s supposed to be a hype song.

K-Dot (part one)
A lot people know who Kendrick Lamar is. But do they really listen to him? I truly think Kendrick is an artist who is slept on. People don’t really give him a chance. They just listen to the songs that are popular/played on the radio. Some of these songs include: Humble, LOVE., All of the Stars, DNA., B**** Don’t Kill My Vibe, and Swimming Pools. Don’t get me wrong these songs are really good. But I truly believe Kendrick’s music doesn’t get the attention it deserves. This blog of Kendrick Lamar is going to be a two part blog. I’m going to go over his first 4 albums and putting the songs I recommend.
Overly Dedicated: This was Kendrick’s first album and it was released on September 14, 2010. This album consists of 12 different songs. This album really is something different from his recent albums. When hearing this album I feel pain. By this I mean I can feel Kendrick’s pain. The songs I will recommend are going to be the main songs I feel pain. Growing Apart(To Get Closer), this song features one of my favorite artists, Jhene Aiko. In this song Kendrick really shares what is going through his mind. Which I really like. The next song is called Opposites Attract (Tomorrow W/O Her). This is my all time favorite song off this album and just out of all Kendrick songs. It really makes you think. “Sometimes we hurt people that love us, love people who hurt us” that chorus really makes you think a lot.
Section.80: This album was released on July 2, 2011. This album consists of 16 different songs. I really did enjoy this album but I am going to be just going over 2 songs but there are more that I really like. The first song is A.D.H.D. This song actually did make it far but not to the charts. This song actually is very powerful. It talks about drugs and how it takes away the pain. This song is actually very catchy. The other song is Tammy’s Song (Her Evils). This is also another song that is powerful. It’s about cheating. It’s also another catchy song.
good kid, m.A.A.d city: This was released on October 22, 2012. It has 18 songs. The first song is Backseat Freestyle. This song to me goes hard. This song gives you the feeling like you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it. Another song that goes hard is m.A.A.d city. This song gives me the same feeling X’s song “Look At Me!” gives everyone else.
The next album is the deluxe version of good kid, m.A.A.d city. This album just has some extra bonus songs. One of the bonus songs I like is The Recipe. This song is featuring Dr. Dre. Something about this song that I really like is the background. And I really do enjoy Kendrick’s voice in this song (something he really good at is changing his voice). The other songs i really didn’t enjoy so I will also recommend B****, Don’t Kill My Vibe. But this would be the remix with Jay Z. The original is actually very good but even this version is really good. It’s different compared to the original.

Kids See Ghosts
Tumblr media
If you are a fan of either Kanye West or Kid Cudi, you would know they are like brothers. They have been working together since both of their careers have begun. Just recently they’ve decided to work together and create a hip-hop duo. This hip-hop is called KIDS SEE GHOSTS. Interesting name huh? Kanye nor Cudi have released any information on why their group is called this. I remember back in the summer of 2017 they tweeted out a drawing of the album cover in japan. I was very excited, two of my favorite artists working together once again and making a WHOLE album together.. For this weeks blog I am going to be doing a review on this album. This album was released on June 8th, 2018. This album had features from Pusha-T, Louis Prima, Ty Dolla $ign and Yasiin Bey.
Tumblr media
Track One : Feel the Love
Featuring Pusha-T
Produced by Justin Vernon, Cashmere Cat,Plain Pat, Noah Goldstein, E*Vax, Francis and the Lights, benny blanco, Mike Dean, Dot Da Genius & Kanye West
This song was one of the first songs I fell in love with. The beat was a mixture of the recent Kanye and Cudi. Which I loved. The background noise while Pusha-T is rapping gives us a Kanye vibe. For instance, what he did in Lift Yourself. Then ending the song with Cudi’s soothing voice was just something I fell in love with.
Track Two: Fire
Produced by E*Vax, Boogz, André 3000, Kid Cudi & Kanye West
This song took me awhile to get start liking it. This song was not a song where I instantly felt the vibe. But I loved how Cudi was in the song a little more. He actually was the top person in this song. Hearing it again, it gives me a little bit more of a Cudi vibe. The ending I didn’t really enjoy. In the end they just put the guitar playing.
Track Three: 4th Dimension
This song I also did enjoy. To me, it was something different compared to what both Kanye and Cudi has put on the table. It gave me a whole different vibe. Maybe it was the song started? I don't really know, but I did enjoy the background once again. I know a lot of people didn’t enjoy this track.
Track Four: Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)
Compared to Ghost Town on Ye I didn’t enjoy this song as much as that one. Ghost Town was so much more catchier. But I really did enjoy the chorus when they sang “I don't feel pain anymore Guess what, baby? I feel free (Scoop!) Nothin' hurts me anymore Guess what, baby? I feel free.”
Track Five: Reborn
Produced by benny blanco, E*Vax, Plain Pat,Dot Da Genius & Kid Cudi
This song was my favorite. I really love the vibe of it. This is the song from this album that blew up. I don’t know if its because of the video Pete Davidson released of him dancing or just cause this song is really good. This song gives you the vibe to just blast this song at 2 am in your car with the windows down. It really a song that relaxes you and relieves your stress.
Track Six: Kids See Ghost
Featuring Yasiin Bey
Produced by Noah Goldstein, Justin Vernon,Plain Pat, Andrew Dawson, Kid Cudi & Kanye West
This song was also my top favorite song. This song was really calming. The beat is just something chill. Mixing this chill beat and Cudi’s calming voice, just is a good way to relax you.
Track Seven: Cudi Montage
Produced by Kid Cudi, Mike Dean & Dot Da Genius
I really do enjoy the beat in this song. This song really expresses Kid Cudi’s mind. While the other songs was focused on either Kanye or both of them, this one really focuses Cudi. In my opinion, this song is also another one of the calming songs. I really enjoyed how they decided to end the album with this song.
To conclude this blog post, I would rate this album a 8/10. I really did think they could’ve done something better. But I did enjoy this album and hope they release more songs from KIDS SEE GHOSTS.

Top 5 Female R&B Artists (90′s-00′s)
For this weeks blog I am going to be going over my top 10 female r&b artists. This list consists artists from the 90’s to 00’s. The list is not going to be in order. When growing up I listened to these artists because of my sister. Another person who introduced this to me is Dj Fuze. After listening to his famous mix “Sweater Weather” I fell in love with these 5 artists.
One of these artist is Alicia keys. I am pretty sure a lot of you guys know who she is. Some of her famous songs are: Fallin , No One, Girl On Fire and If I Ain’t Got You. Alicia Keys is an artist who I personally think can do anything she puts her mind to it.
Another artist would be Aaliyah. If you recently been keeping up with the R. Kelly show you would notice how they bring her up. Either in the first or second episode they bring her up. But I don’t like to think about her as someone who got famous because of R. Kelly. Aaliyah honestly is very talented. She got famous very young 15. Some of her famous songs include Rock The Boat, Try Again, Are You That Somebody. One song that I do recommend is At Your Best (You Are Love). You probably will remember this song off of Frank Ocean's Endless Album.
Ashanti. She was one of the first artists I fell in love with. You will recognize her always working with Ja Rule. Their music together is so amazing. Some of their famous songs are What’s Luv? , Happy and Always On Time. Some songs that I really like are Foolish and Unfoolish. When you are in your feels, her music really does hit the feels.
Destiny’s Child. The first thing you think about is Beyonce. But this group is so much more than just Beyonce alone. Some of their famous songs are Say My Name, Bootylicious and Survivor. Their music is so powerful. It made a difference in women's life. Their music gave women a voice.
My last artist is Lauryn Hill. She has came along a long way. Even right now in 2019 she is still very famous. A lot of people still vibe to her music and like her. Some of my favorite songs from her are Ex-Factor and Doo Wop. Another song that I really like that she is in is Killing Me Softly With His Song by Fugees. Lauryn Hill’s music is also music that hits the feels hard. For me her music makes me want to get up and yell out her lyrics out.

Sweater Weather Music
It’s finally december. The weather is changing. We all know what this means… Sweater Weather time. Time to be cozy in our hoodies and enjoy the cold, rainy days with sweater weather music. During this time, there's one mix I always have on, especially on rainy days, Sweater Weather Mix by Dj Fuze. Dj Fuze is a dj who I’ve listened to for a long time. Currently, he is djing for Power 106. For this blog post, I am going to go over not only his first sweater weather mix but also the part 2. If you would like to check out both of these mixes, go to www.djfuzela.com. Part one is number 24 on the mix list and part 2 is number 14.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sweater Weather Mix 1: This mix is based on 90’s-early 2000’s r&b music. Some artists that are included are: Miguel, Beyonce, T-pain, Keith Sweat, Brandy, Monica, etc. These are some really good artists. Mixing them together gave off a GOOD vibe. It gives off a loving but also lonely vibe. By this I mean, this mix includes both heartbreak and lover songs. This mix really gives off a good mood when its raining. This mix is very good for those people who love r&b music. This was one of the things that opened up my eyes to r&b. This mix just hits the feel for a good 1 hour and 18 minutes. For a little sneak peek of this mix some songs that I think A LOT of people know that is included in this mix are: Sure Thing by Miguel , Me Myself and I by Beyonce, Killing Me Softly With His Song by Fugees, Only You by 112, No One by Alicia Keys, etc.
Sweater Weather Mix 2: This music mix is a little longer than the first one, it is 1 hour and 29 minutes. This mix also has 90’s-2000’s r&b music. I personally don't like this mix as much as the first one. This is because this mix doesn’t hit the feels as much for me. This mix includes: Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Destiny's Child, etc. This mix unlike the other mix has songs that aren’t really out there. So in other words not the famous heartbreak/lover songs. For example, this mix has the song So Gone who is originally by Monica but this version wasn’t her. It was a group of people singing it. Which I thought was kind of weird. This mix also really focuses on artists who are women. I don't know if Dj Fuze did this on purpose or not.
I really do recommend to listen to both of these mixes. Both mixes are really great but like Ive said before, the first mix is so much better than the second. Dj Fuze also has so many other great mixes, go and check them out on www.djfuzela.com.
