You know what really annoys me about the Lila/Five situation?

It could have worked.

Five could have found Delores and rambled about how he knew what he was doing was wrong. How he had given his life to his siblings, including Diego, but he couldn't be alone again.

Lila could have mentioned her family more, including her kids, and get upset that she was away from the for so long in her mind.

They could have had an awkward first kiss where they discussed it. Lila is of course hesitant as she still loves Diego even though it ended on a rough patch. How they met in stranger circumstances but Lila is the only one who doesn't see him as some kid. Their relationship is weird, but they're stuck outside of their real lives. Maybe it is ok to 'escape'. Only Five doesn't use it as an escape and genuinely falls for Lila.

There also could have been a proper discussion between them and Diego.

If any of that happened, it would have been more palatable. But alas, we got... that.

Judging on the language the commenter made, I kind of feel bad for them. They're clearly young, and it seems that they have made 'being a reader' their entire identity. I can't wait for them to grow and realise there are more important things than how much you read, and I hope they find inner peace with that.

i was scrolling through the tags on the 'how many books have you read this year' poll and i just want every 0-5 book reader to know that whether you're dyslexic, you have trouble focusing, you have a job or other full time responsibilities, or perhaps you are just a slow reader by nature, that you're a better reader than this person

I feel like Sam not being selected for the Nigerian team was purely political. Sure, Akufo had a role in it, but... did Sam forget that he spoke out against the Nigerian government for corruption?

Now, I may not be some fancy director of football operations, but surely picking a player openly against his government may not be the best idea. It will either draw hatred from the government or their supporters. They have to consider if he is worth it. The fact that he is vocal about British politics adds to it.

After all, 'you have to do the right thing even if you lose'.
