Hi! Where would you be shipping from? I couldn't find it in the FAQ and need to know for import/shipping cost reasons.

It wasn't added to the FAQ because of the interest rate and such! Also, bc i forgot

Also, this ask sparked a conversation in the mod channel, and I was asked, "Did you not think if how expensive international shipping was...?" Which was answered with a very small and pathetic no!

But, well. The plan was always to launch it online for free anyway, so we're just not getting physical stuff (unless it's shipped directly from the US based manufacturer)

The plan WAS to ship things all the way from Brazil! And I (finally) checked the prices and... shipping to the US averages on 200 BRL / 30 USD for the expected size and weight of the package. Which. I don't think I have to say it is a lot, but yeah, it's a LOT lol!

It's my first time organizing an event of this scale, and I just dived in with little thought! The pricing would be just to cover production and shipping costs, but that would still be too expensive for a good number of folks. Me included, to be honest! I'm so sorry, guys...

how will contributors know if they’re accepted? Will we receive a dm or an email? And will those not accepted receive a message as well?

We aren't collecting contributors' emails through the form, just to keep everyone's privacy. Folks will receive a discord friend request (if unable to simply DM) and a message saying whether or not they've been accepted! If you've been accepted or didn't but signed up to be a pinch hitter, you will receive an invite to the server.

Hello! As for the portfolio section in the form, is it okay to submit links to social media (or posts) that contain art/writing? I don't have a general website dedicated to my art : (

Hello! Yes, that's alright, but for blogs, it'd be preferable if you send a link with your art/writing tag filtered in! Just to make our work easier.

Can someone apply for both artist and writer, even if they're only chosen for one?

Yes! That's very much allowed!

(ngl, I've never used carrd before and I'm worried it isn't showing publicly lol)

Yes! I check all links as soon as I see them and personally DM whoever doesnt have their links viewable or is missing crucial details to their application!

Hi! In the forms themselves, there is the deadline, May 22nd! But, as the schedule says, it's flexible! I gave myself and the mods a 2 week window to evaluate all applicants and come to our conclusions!

hiii im an artist who is interested in signing up as a contributor buuut im not too familiar with zines having never been in one... can i ask for a description on what a page/spread looks like and can contain? ദ്ദി(｡•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊

Hello! This is also our first time making a zine but I grabbed some templates and referenced other cool zines I've seen around and here's an example!

A page can contain illustrations, collages, or comics! A spread is recommended to be an illustration, but you can ask us if it's possible to do what you want to do, and we can figure it out!
