ok but imagine: Peter and his friends are about to play some dnd at Peter's but one of the players cancels last minute and there's no time to re-size the campaign and Peter asks Tony to join because, well, he's right there, and obvious awkwardness ensues - for Peter's friends because it's kinda weird to have a dad at the table, and for Peter and Tony additionally because of the obvious reason of their relationship, but it surprisingly turns out to be not a bad kind of awkward, but a sort of wholesome one, and Tony is either impressively good at roleplay or adorably bad, and Peter gets to teach him 5th edition, and Tony is a bit embarrassed at first, but everyone is nice to him - 'cause that's what you do in dnd, you be nice to a noob - and eventually he has that moment of realization that you can really do _anything_ that everyone has with dnd at some point and it is awesome and he becomes a regular in the campaign
and ideally we would go through the whole campaign (not every session, ofc, but, like, general story bits), and in parallel with it in real world Tony and Peter are dealing with some superhero issue, like, maybe Peter gets attacked or something and Tony has to deal with the idea of him putting on a suit again, just because it's safer if nothing else, and they get to investigate whatever the attack was, and there are these fun parallels between the real life and the dnd campaign, like some freaky similarities with the villain, and maybe figuring out some problem in the campaign leads to them solving something in the irl villain plot, and there is this contrast between real danger and dealing with their real problems both with superhero stuff and their relationship stuff - and how free and wholesome dnd feels, because they get to just be themselves without the pressure of a secret relationship and it's nothing like real life stakes and yet still fulfilling, and it lets them see each other as more of their own people, without the father-son thing, and...
...ok ok i'll stop xD
[fic: wicked love] Serious question: Tony and Peter, if you were Dungeons & Dragons characters, which race/class you think each other would be?)
Peter: Oh! That's a fun question. Um, Dad would be an artificer, since they're inventors that need a high Intelligence stat, and he'd spec into the Armorer subclass at the 3rd level, duh. And he'd be a human, which isn't boring; being a human who goes up against all these other characters with special features and can hold his own because of the stuff he built is super cool!
Tony: Wow, kid, you really thought this one through. Anyway, Petey-pie would be a hobbit and a thief, because he's slippery and has a bottomless stomach.
Peter: Hey! …You mean "a halfling rogue."

Unexpectedly about pirates
Modern pirates.I've been thinking about it a lot for the last few days, so, why not say it on the internet. First of all, lets figure out a concept. Creators (of games, movies, books, you name it) spend time, effort and most often money on their product, so its only natural, if you use the product, to give them something back (mostly money), as a compensation, if you will. Now, to the topic itself. I will admit some years ago i was actually pirating a lot, just didn't give it much thought. But lately i discovered, that most of the games i play, are legitimately bought. Why's that? Did my opinion on piracy changed? Not quite. I just discovered YouTube. Let me explain. There are different kinds of piracy (not legally speaking, but in terms of moral). There's the most nasty one - people, who just think that if they can get stuff for free - why pay? But that's not always the case. I myself was a pirate because of two things. First - its the fact, that i didnt know, whether or not the product is actually good. When you buy an apple, you think its a good apple, you pay for a good apple, and if it is spoiled, you want your money back. But with games (and some other products) you can't really have that, can you? There are some options, like, returning the game in one day, or something, if you thought it was bad, but i am a very slow player, so it wasn't always a good option for me (and i'm not sure, if it even existed at time). So i needed to know, if the game is good or not, before bying it. There were reviews and such, but i was never quite sure, game could be bad and have good reviews. So piracy was a safer option, i didnt risk anything. And now the Youtube comes in - now i can actually see the game (enough of the game), before bying it. And it is AWESOME. It actually changed my perspecive, because now i knew for a fact, that the game was worth paying for, i wasnt buying a cat in a slightly transparent bag. So the first reason of why i was a pirate is practically gone now. Now about the second, and it is more... specific, i think. I live in a country, that doesnt have english as a national language. A lot of people know it, but most still speak other language. So, naturally, all the TV shows, movies, games, that officially published, have localization. And because people hate subtitles for some reason, it mostly dubbed. And it SUCKS. It SUUUUCKS. Its awful. It literally ruins the TVshow/game/movie/etc in most of the times. Its easier with games because they are mostly subtitled, but with movies or especially TVshows - it is REALLY hard to find something published legally with subtitles, or just in original version. So thats why i still don't buy some of that stuff, but pirate it. And now - the reason for the fact, that i think its more morally aceptable, then the nasty pirates, that i mentioned earlier. This reason is - if illegal versions didnt exist, i would've still never bought the product. Just never. I didnt take away money, that creators deserved, they would've never get my money anyway. Yes, its still dodgy reasoning, because creators worked, probably hard, and earned some payment... but they didn't send their good product in my country, they send spoiled one, or didn't send at all - so, maybe they don't want my money. Anyway, thats just my thoughts about pirates. Maybe i'm wrong and an awful person, but at least i'm honest about it.
