Idc what anyone says. In 2025, we need to stop downplaying how good the Kenway line is. Any games with the Kenways are my favorites. Edward, Haytham, Connor, literally went 3/3 with good characters and games. Plus, have you seen the covers of AC: Black Flag and AC3? They're soooo good. With this in mind, it pains me to see people hate on Connor and ac3 in general (yes, I'm back on this) justice for Connor🙏🏽‼️

On top of this, I know this man has language books somewhere hiding in his work desk. He'll just read the basic words and repeat them, causing him to know a bunch of starter words from various languages
Another day, another assassin's creed hc (I'm trying to feed you guys this week)
Crazy enough, this one isn't about Desmond, but Shaun. I hc that Shaun likes to pick up new languages like Pokémon cards. It's one of his strong points and is fairly easy for him. He likes the sound and feeling of different words rolling off his tongue and how nice it sounds, which leads me to hc he has a mild case of echolalia or synesthesia.
In many instances while working, he'll listen to Desmond in the background, talking to himself in a different language. Shaun will then mumble the words to himself, repeating them under his breath while his eyes remain glued to his screen. He loves the way it sounds in his mouth, pure satisfaction. It would be weird to think of, a strong, smart, head-on guy like him to do that. He's been looked at weirdly by the others once or twice, being caught whispering to himself. He makes the excuse that he's simply trying to remember information.
Rebecca thinks it's just this funniest thing ever. Laughing when she finds out about it, determined to catch it for herself. One bright early morning, Shaun is already in the kitchen making coffee. The others trickle in soon after, and Desmond enters a bit later, mumbling in Italian.
"Care for a cup, Desmond?" He inquires, sliding a hot cup across the counter for him.
"I should probably start writing the shopping list for this week- ah, yes, grazie."
"Grazie," Shaun silently whispers into his cup, taking a sip. His face then curls up in disgust, he forgot the creamer. He makes quick work of getting some so his cup won't go cold. He glances up at the others for a moment, surprised when he sees Desmond with narrowed eyes, Rebecca sneering in the back, and Lucy chuckling quietly.
The silence and stares causes his skin and face to flush and go hot.
"And just why are you guys staring?" He lowers his brows, hand on his hip.
"Dude, we just caught you. Why do you do that? You know, repeat what he says." Rebecca's question puts him on the spot. Her eyes scrutinizing him.
"Yea, now that I think about it, I have seen you whispering to yourself after I talk. I thought I was just crazy." Desmond turns on his heels, walking back over to the counter where Shaun stands frozen in place.
He begins to talk and nothing comes out, his skin feeling prickly, no words leaving his mouth because he does know, well... maybe. But It would be weird to explain why he does it.
"It seems like echolalia," Lucy proclaims, "Maybe it just feels good to say, or it could be synesthesia."
"Echo... synesthe... what?" Desmond raises a brow.
"Echolalia is the repetition of words, phrases, or sounds. Synesthesia is when the brain basically routes sensory information through multiple different senses. So you'll experience more than one sense at the same time, get it?"
"Ah, ok."
Rebecca's hand flies to her phone, quickly looking up what this... echolalia and synesthesia is in further detail.
"mumble" common in speech development, "mumble" verbal stim "mumble" can occur in people with certain conditions "mumble" adhd "mumble" autism.... yada yada. Well, Shaun's speech is way past the development stage, and he's not autistic. Maybe he's just weird." An evil smirk crosses her face.
"YOU PISS OFF REBECCA!"
"Please don't get him worked up." Lucy mutters with an eye roll.

Yk, since i've started really playing ac:Rouge, i've unlocked a whole new perspective of templars versus assassins and really made me think. Walking around as a faceless abstergo employee (again), listening to audio recordings, finding hidden files, and learning about the past. I've been seeing a lot of the who's right the templars or the assassins argument, and I thought it was cool, so I want to talk about it! So, one point I want to start on is that once you play ac3 and ac: rouge, getting to experience both haytham and shay, you won't see the templars and assassins as black and white anymore. They are groups who want the same thing and make really good points, they just have different ideas of executing it. The assassins want freedom through peace, and the templars want freedom through order, simple. You must consider motivations or actions instead of just deciding who's right or wrong because you've seen one perspective. This argument is seen a lot throughout the games.
Haytham in ac3 believes that freedom through peace is "in invitation to chaos" and that what the assassins think they're helping to solve is only making matters worse, ( one example is the rebellion) which I don't completely disagree with. Opposed to the assassins thinking that what they are doing is right, bringing freedom and safety for their people. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fully siding with haytham. His intentions might be noble, but most of his methods are far from it. He is definitely a "the end justifies the means" person, but he's cruel about it and believes the end always justifies the means, even if innocent people get hurt over it.
As for Shay (another templar pov), I believe him leaving the creed did him some good. He did not agree with the assassins becoming obsessed with obtaining pieces of eden to the point of constant destruction, Achilles and the others didn't believe him half the time, they didn't want to listen to what happened in Lisbon with the earthquakes and attacked him upon stealing the manuscript, so he left. Yet the assassins see this as betrayal to the creed. In this game, neither the assassins or templars are entirely right, imo, the templars had their deals of fucked up shit too. Shay simply found his own calling, following what he believed was right, nothing wrong with finding yourself. He thought the assassins meant peace and freedom, yet seeing the bloodshed caused by them just to obtain eden changed his mind. So he looked toward the templars, watching them work for stability and control, which he thinks can prevent what the assassins began, bring a better peace.
To me, to know who's right or wrong depends on one's interpretation of one's methods, motivations, and morals. I will never fully agree or side with either the assassins or templars, I just agree with what's right (please dont beat me down because of my opinions). Enough of my yap, who do you guys think is right or wrong?

So I'm playing AC brotherhood now that I finally got it downloaded, and let's just say I love it lol. I'm at the part where Desmond (I love him ), and lucy is trying to find a way into the villa, and it has me dying lmao.
"After all this time in the Animus I'm not so sure."
"Ya, I really didn't want to say anything, but you're really getting fat."
"ouch😢."
"I even told Rebecca to widen the animus."
"Seriously?"
"No."
Apart from them exchanging blows at each other, I really enjoy the game play and getting to see Desmond again. As for seeing ezio, he's gotten so old! I find it funny how he gets upset at someone hinting at the fact he is old, yet complains about his back while climbing (we twinning with the back problems fr). Another one of my favorite interactions is between Shaun and Rebecca fighting over who ate lucy's yogurt.
"I had 2 yogurts in the mini fridge as of this morning and now they're gone. I'm hungry and annoyed so who took them?" -Lucy
"Lucy,
I am supremely disappointed that you would make such allegations of your dedicated staff. This accusation is injust, unfounded and frankly rather insulting." -S.
"Shaun ate both of them. I know because he asked me if I wanted one." -r3b3cca
"Thanks Becca.
Shaun you're on clean up for the next week." -Lucy
"This just in:
Rebecca is a Templar." -S.
I find the whole interaction really funny for no reason, lol. I absolutely adore the squad in this game and wish to see more of them🙏🏽‼️

Ok, this was a really good response to read. I'm glad to see someone who doesn't necessarily like to game to talk about legitimate reasons besides the classic "Why is a black man in a Japanese game!" Or "Why is a girl a ninja!" And "Ubisoft is becoming woke!" They even compare the game to Ghost of Tsushima😭😭😭. Some points I can agree on as an enjoyer of the game is that the combat is, in fact, VERY clunky; there's no real fluidity to the movements, and the dead-face characteristics throw me off. Yet I like the different types(???) of combat options and the moves they've come up with, to me naoē and yasuke's fighting styles are cool, only if it was smoother and less blocky. Another point I can absolutely agree on is the templars being white colonizers, AGAIN. Now that you've brought it up, I would KILL to see templars as something other than just white, as you've said, Portuguese or even Japanese, JUST SOMETHING OTHER THAN WHITE. I know that if ubisoft did that, it would make the stories 10 times better. But yea, that's all from me. Sorry for my yap shesh^^
Sooooo what are your guys' thoughts on Assassin's Creed: Shadows? Me personally, I think the game looks great and will be fun to play, but anytime I see videos the comments are full of people absolutely shitting on the game because of the characters and story😭😭😭what do yall think

I always see people online hate on Connor because apparently, to them, he is too serious and and his motives don't make sense, or hes not fun, or hes emotionless. He is sometimes reckless and makes mistakes, yet I love that he's imperfect. He is flawed in places, which makes him human. In my opinion, I think that makes him a good character.
People hate him for being blunt and his almost constant stoicism. They say he's boring and uninteresting, yet as an introvert, I love how he's so calm and mellow. "Connor has no emotion." Did you play the quest where his friend Norris was telling him about his marriage? People seem to forget that he watched his mother literally burn to death in front of him as a child (that would definitely cause some trauma) he has earned the right to be that way, lol.
As for personal opinions, his tomahawk is fire, and his cover art and promotion video is so cool for no reason. As for his fighting style, I enjoy how brutal it is and his character overall. My boy Connor is overhated.
