My Experience of Being an Online Student
When I was in Grade 11 it is so hard to study in face-to-face class because I need to wake up early to prepare for my school. After all, First City Providential College was far from my house and I need three rides to get in the school. And when I arrived at school, I looked like I have been battled with a tornado because I look haggard and my hair was messed even though it was just the start of my day being a student. And there are times that I am struggling when I commute because I have motion sickness and it was hard for me to commute alone because I am unable to across the roads because I’ve been always almost run over by vehicles that’s why I wake up early because there are cases that I am late for my classes because I need to wait for accompany to cross the road.
If my grade 11 was a struggle, now that I am in my 12th grade as a Senior High School student it was a struggle also because of the pandemic we are experiencing right now we cannot go to school and learn face-to-face. Instead, we are now learning in 2 ways it is either you are a modular student or an online student. In my case, since it is inconvenient for my parents to go to my school I choose to be an online student even though I know I do not have a stable connection or internet.
In the first month of being a grade 12 online student, I was down that time because I was bombarded with many activities and assignments. And yes, I cried again for this school year because I do not know what to start or do back then as I was overwhelmed. But luckily, I have these 2 friends and they are also my classmate that supports me when I was down.
Also, since I am an online student I sometimes experience that when I am in Zoom meeting the connection was really bad that I sometimes cannot understand the lessons and it was so hard to cope with the class discussion because when the school year 2020-2021 starts my friends and I do not own any wifi connections and there is just a piso wifi wherein we just insert coins for as to connect in wifi. And yeah, the struggle is real for us at that time but thank God one of my friend’s mother decided to install their own wifi that’s why it is much easier for us to access the internet now.
I spent being a Senior High School student with ups and downs but it was worth it now because finally the hardship of being a SHS student is near to its end and I am proud to say that I did well up until now. Maybe it was hard for me at first but if you believe that you can do it, you can do it.

There is a viral video that spreading now in different social media sites. It was a video of a Korean guy who is insulting Filipinos by tearing, spitting, and trampling the Philippine flag. Many Filipino were infuriate and the #cancelkorea went trending.
youtube
It was all started when a Fil-Am Tiktok star Bella Poarch received criticisms from Koreans as her tatto became very offensive to them because it reminds them the colonization of Japan that caused chaos for 35 years in their country. And this is where the series of racist comments starts between Filipino and Korean. Though Bella admit her mistake and immediately apologized.
Tumblr media
So we created a video content mukbang of Filipino foods where we can show our nationalism. As you know, mukbang also known as eating show  was originated from Korea and later on became popular. It is a footage of a host eating a large amount of foods.
youtube
We made the video to say that stop the racism and understand each other instead of exchanging hateful comments towards each other. We are all human and human made mistakes. Let's restore our brotherhood and forget the past. It was a great experince for us to make a way that convey to the viewers that we can be friends with other country through promoting our nationality and theirs.Let us spread the #cancelracism.
