I just posted this on Reddit, but I want the most interaction and opinions as possible, so I was wondering if anyone knew a term for what I was experiencing or they had experienced it themselves? I also wanted to make sure a label didn't already exist before I made one myself.

Recently, I've been dealing with some OC/Daydream character shifts. This has happened before because all of my OCs are an extension/part of me. The thing is, this isn't OCkin, as the shifts usually leave when I end the daydream or move on to another media/OC.

Does anyone know what this could be considered or if there are any labels for it?

(I am introspecting enough to see if it does change to a full kintype rather than a temporary one from my daydream, but we'll see how long it lasts)

i just. idk how else to say it, sorry, but refusing to call others in a community people is also triggering and unsafe no matter what words you use instead. the community needs to be safe for alterhumans of color, disabled alterhumans, everyone - not just white ones and abled ones.

I am unsure what you are commenting on/referring to, but I assume it is in regards to my subreddit.

I would like this to be clear (not just for you but for anyone who hasn't seen my interactions with others) I have changed much of the wording in response to the vivterm rule so it is more open-ended and applicable for everyone within the communtiy. I've attached an updated photo below! (/nm)

Hi! Just here to say the word 'bioterms' was coined by someone whose very anti physical alterbeing. There's an alternative word (Vivterms) that was coined by a physical alterbeing. Just fyi! Not an attack!

I've been told, I promise!! They've been changed to Viv/life terms in the subreddit now and I have options for humanoid and non-human vivterms as user flairs so folks can decide how they would like to be addressed and (I'm pretty sure) they're visible to all other users within the community (/inf)

calling everyone creatures/beings/animals can also be really triggering to people because of things like racism and ableism. like it's more complex than just switching to calling everyone those things instead of people

Ok, I have a lot of questions like this so sorry if I repeat myself a couple times in the next couple of posts.

I have since changed this rule and added user flairs for humanoid and non-human vivterms so users can decide which they want and it's visible for others in the community.

I also dont understand how beings can be seen as rude? (/gq) (I understand creatures and animals though) but I will still respect others feelings/opinions, it is just my main way of labelling others/everyone so it will be my main way of calling users here and on the reddit in my own posts (/inf)

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't join adulttherian, I've officially left r/Therian and I will be telling any and every being to fuck that shit off. Their horrible.

I'm lucky I never ran into a pick-me therian but one too many mods suck ass and hate physical alterhumans.

1. I'm a therian, otherkin, fictionkin (which is under the otherkin umbrella), conceptkin, and otherhearted.

2. Lemon Shark, jackal/black canid, cervidae cladotherian, Bonnie (FNAF), Draed (Red-guy, DHMIS), Na'vikin (Avatar), Wyvern, gore/Horror conceptkin, space conceptkin, liminal conceptkin, Stitch, CatBus, Goat, dollkin (questioning), Phone Guy (questioning), Rabbit/Hare (questioning).

3. Yes! I mostly get phantom shifts and physical shifts. I dont think I've gotten a cameo shift before though

4. This is hard to explain. Usually, it's at the back of my mind, but sometimes it can be fun or distressing as I work as a full canid, or I'm trying to do school work as Bonnie. Etc.

5. It's a good space to find others with similar experiences and feel not so alone but, depending on what platform you're on, it can be full of misinformation, hatred, etc.

6. Gear and bioterms. I love wearing gear (my tail, a hat with ears, shoes with paw lines on them) and calling things what they are (my hands are paws, my snout/maw, im not a person I'm a being or creature)

7. Sometimes, yes. Especially when I do quads or see my face. It makes me feel so human, which I'm not, and it can be uncomfortable and distressing on occasion.

8. Don't get your information from TikTok, don't feel like you have to tell everyone immediately, and gear/quads dont make you more or less valid as a therian. Therian also isnt the only term out there, so please search for who/what you truly are.

9. Yes! I have tails, paw shoes, paw socks, a (pet-play, technically) muzzle, a collar, and a hat with ears!

10. Most of my identities stem from autism and PTSD (probably). Sharks are my special interest (as was space), and now look at what I am! Some of them (my wyverntype) come from past lives that still affect my identity in this life. Some come from shows I watched when I was younger (Stitch, Na'vikin, Bonnie, Draed)

are the thy/thou pronouns like. second person pronouns

You can definitely use them as 2nd person pronouns, but I also use them as 3rd person pronouns.

Example;

"Thou went to the store to get thyself some snacks and drinks. I think thine appointment is soon so, thats why thou needed a pick-me-up"
