Headcanon-- Lockwood carries around a Polaroid of him and Lucy or one of just Lucy. He started doing it during the winter she left Portland Row so he could always feel like she was close to him and always with him. So he could tell himself she was safe.

He continued doing it after she returned so no matter where he was he could look at how beautiful she was and how he was so lucky.

Imagine if when Annabel was chasing Lucy out of the attic, Lucy instead fell down the stairs in a rush and idk...Lockwood had to carry her. Wrap her ankle. Offer her his room so it was less stairs for her.
