LOVE the moment in season 2 episode 1 where it’s strongly implied that every regular person who lives in Cardiff knows EXACTLY what Torchwood is about while they’re out there trying to sneak around and be all ~mysterious~ and cool alien-hunters (see also: the intro narrated by Jack….outside the government, beyond the police…..arming the human race for the future…etc.) while the average old lady on the street just sees all of this nonsense with coked-up alien fish men with guns driving around in convertibles, etc., as a run-of-the-mill, minor inconvenience
