carlos’s dad is diagnosed with a scary health ailment (he’ll be ok but doesn’t know it yet) and on his quest to make amends/settle his affairs he brings up his Suspicions about carlos’s sexuality in an overbearing “i just want you to be happy//do you have a boyfriend?” way. carlos, red in the face and in a blind panic (and having only had shameful hookups he scrubbed his skin raw after) says yes because he thinks it will make his dad the happiest (they think he’s gonna DIE) and carlos sr then says “but it’s so hard with your job…it must be even harder if you cannot be open…when would you see each other” and carlos says “no…it is okay…he is…another driver…” and his dad asks WHO and carlos, sweating by this point, searches for the most non-offensive person he can find (the most boring person) and blurts OSCAR and tries to forget the conversation

oscar gets a voicemail from carlos sainz sr inviting him to an intimate private island retreat over break—just family. it would mean a lot to jr and the whole family if he could be there. as he knows this may be sr’s last holiday. oscar assumes spam callers are getting more specific and more insane and deletes this voicemail

carlos sr gets mark webber involved who makes oscar go because clearly carlos sr has lost his fucking mind but why not appease the old man in his dying days. landos probably going, hey. if he invited you he for sure invited lando it won’t be that bad. the man’s a Motorsport legend it’s the least you can do!

oscar shows up and lando ISNT there and carlos sr and reyes bring oscar out in this big theatrical REVEAL to a room filled with 100 relatives and he’s Horrified but not as horrified as CARLOS and then they start chanting “kiss” 💋

carcar HATE each other and then drunkenly fuck nasty and then hate each other MORE and eventually don’t hate each other and carlos sainz sr survives god bless 🙏
