Something really beautiful about vegan cooking is that it is really slow. I know just a few recipes that are like super-5-minutes-fast-quick-and-easy. Most of them require preparation, work, love. Before I went vegan, I used to cook in like 10 minutes, pack it up and that’s that. So, to me, it was really stressful. Now, I cook slowly, patiently and happily. I don’t mind spending hours in the kitchen, because I know it’s for a greater good. My love-hate relationship with the food is now pure love. Love for myself. Love for every single life on the planet. Love for myself!!! A complete foreign concept for me is now part of my everyday life. It’s true what they say, when you spread love, you get love back.

i havent shaved my legs in a really long time and while i was babysitting my skirt edged up a bit and the seven year old i was watching said “ew you should shave that hairs not supposed to be there” and i said “well if its not supposed to be there then why does it grow there?” and he was really silent for a long time and then finally said “lets watch sonic the hedgehog”
