Probably everyone felt the MarcPoon recast coming. Looking forward to MondRyu, sure they'll also do a great job, but tbh I was actually looking forward to MarcPoon in A Dog and a Plane based on the pilot trailer. Oh well. I thought MarcPoon worked well enough on screen from what I had seen of them (still haven't finished p10l I admit), especially considering that Poon was a later than last minute replacement in We Are so they really didn't have much time to get used to each other.

Guess they didn't get along that well privately tho, huh? I wonder, have we ever had a side couple CP aside from MikeToptap that had so many people speculating about when they'd "break up"?

As for OhmFluke I'll admit I know even less about them than Marc & Poon but I'm slightly sad we've lost the OhmFluke joke. That's pretty much all I'm mourning here, tho, I felt pretty indifferent about them in the MRS pilot.

OhmPoon tho I never would have seen coming. Still can't really picture it tbh but I'm willing to be surprised.

I wonder if Marc will go back to Pawin now or if he'll leave? He's the only one who didn't get a replacement role here. He'll be in MuTeLuv but other than that he has nothing else coming up, right?

As your resident Poon follower and your recent Ohm Thitiwat investigative reporter, I can tell you this is so so so unexpected.

I’ve only seen them interacting on social media for the first time yesterday (which tbf made me curious but!!!). And they had a date night together earlier today/last night Thai time.

Poon went incognito with his posts while filming something two weeks ago during which Ohm and Fluke Jee weren’t posting which made me wonder if he was filming a pilot trailer as a side character for something with them as a CP.

But OhmPoon!?!? Out of all the possible variations, this was the least expected.

And Fluke Jee’s going over to Poon’s friend Joong’s series?

Poon’s been hanging with Fluke Jee a whole bunch this past year. And is also besties with Joong. Fluke Jee and Ohm Thitiwat have done some soccer games together throughout the year, too. The only hard feelings that might be at play I think are the rumored ones between Poon and his former partner (“I don’t know where he is. Probably playing golf if you look at his Instagram.”)

This does make me want to tap some heads at gmmtv and tell them they need to start doing more work with chemistry castings and pairing compatibility before throwing two actors together cuz they looked cute in the pictures they cut out and collaged together.

And let’s be clear that I like the acting and public-facing personas of all the people I named above and am hopeful that they’re heading in directions that make them happy and help them do their best work. And I’m also generally pretty generous toward GMMTV and think it’s okay for them not to be so corporate and refined with their production process.

I’m just a bit gobsmacked here.

Happy to answer any questions as far as what I know for anyone curious, but, like I said, other than the MarcPoon break-up, the new pairings are pretty unexpected.

Oh yes, absolutely! They also have to say it straight to the camera and they better say it in English, too. Otherwise it might just be a cultural misunderstanding or biased translation. And of course even then, can we really know they're not dating? Saying so might just be a joke between lovers. Or, you know, ✨fanstervice✨. After all some fans want them to be single, so saying they're not dating has to be a ploy by them and their company to advance their career.
