"The shift from the Afro-Caribbean zombie to the U.S. zombie is clear: in Caribbean folklore, people are scared of becoming zombies, whereas in U.S. narratives people are scared of zombies. This shift is significant because it maps the movement from the zombie as victim (Caribbean) to the zombie as an aggressive and terrifying monster who consumes human flesh (U.S.). In Haitian folklore, for instance, zombies do not physically threaten people; rather, the threat comes from the voduon practice whereby the sorcerer (master) subjugates the individual by robbing the victim of free will, language and cognition. The zombie is enslaved."

was talking to my gf about my fear of dying young for being trans and my mom putting my deadname on my gravestone, and she said "i hope that never happens, but if it does, i will carve your name into your grave myself if i have to." and i think theres something extremely raw about that sentiment and trans community in general. you can kill only our bodies, but you cant kill transsexuality

netizens are desensitising gruesome things that are taking place in Palestine.
even the internet’s reaction to graphic things such as - pictures of injured children, civilians stuck under rubble, dead bodies of families in their destroyed homes etc. is beyond underwhelming.
DO NOT NORMALISE GENOCIDE.
BREAK THE STIGMA.
#save palestine

The thing is... Israel admitted to this from the very beginning.
They said the confessions were obtained through 'interrogation' in the Shin Bet aka torture (Shin Bet is where they like to torture Palestinian prisoners for intel) so every country that cut funding to the UNRWA knew from the beginning that Israel was using false forced statements.
The famine in Gaza is partly due to this. Never forget that.

The Negotiating Table, Mona Hatoum
Originally performed in 1983, The Negotiating Table was a response to the Zionist invasion of Lebanon in 1982. Mona Hatoum was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1952 because her family (Palestinian Christians) were displaced from Haifa.
Donate to the PRCS - they provide vital medical aid in Gaza and have been repeatedly targeted by the occupation (most recently with the assassination of Ahmad al Madhoun and Youseif Zeino, along with six year old Hind Rajab).
Donate to UNFPA - pregnancy and menstruation are especially dangerous in Gaza right now, due to period poverty, starvation, and Israel’s intentional destabilisation of the healthcare system.
