I don't really know how to word this (having a way with words was never one of my talents), but I'm going to try regardless since I feel the need to vent it out somewhere, and I'm sorry to my mutuals for cluttering your dash!! It's just art struggle talk

I've been seeing such good art lately that I feel at a loss when it comes to even trying to draw and I don't know how to deal with it. I look at the empty canvas and I can't just start drawing anymore and go from there because I feel the thoughts sneaking into my head: 'What about composition? Or lighting? You're never going to improve if you don't try your best' It's pretty exhausting because I already had troubles with drawing or finishing artwork and I feel even more suffocated with these thoughts. I can tell I'm improving too, but it's still so lacking and bland that I'm not even sure where to start working. The solution is probably just saying 'fuck it' and rawdogging that canvas repeatedly until something worthwhile comes of it...?
