Can we talk about Theo being able to calm Liam down because he's the only one who treats him like a fucking human being? Like, in all the scenes where Liam's losing it, no one tries to talk to him/distract him but everyone just looks at him or says "calm down, calm down, calm down". They all treat him like he's some kind of mad dog. And then Theo shows up and is like "you shouldn't kill him" and Liam is like "why?" and Theo is like "because we're going to need a fucking chainsaw, obviously". Theo is the first one to realize that his wolf only reacts to how his human is feeling and as a result tries to distract the human instead of stopping the wolf. Theo who is "barely even human" is the only one who recognizes Liam's humanity even when he's a "monster" and I want to fucking kill myself.

i hear your theo with chronic pain headcannons and i absolutely adore them but just imagine how that would translate to the people around him.

he’s just casually talking with the pack and he bumps his hand on the table, so out of instinct liam grabs his hand to take his pain and then just. falls over. because “how the FUCK are you in so much pain????????”

and theo’s like “oh it gets like that sometimes” and continues talking while liam’s just. in shock.

what if theo heals slower not because chimera's have weaker healing than regular supernaturals but his bodys just constantly trying to heal from like. fucking. mercury poisoning or some left-over chemical shit.

post cannon he gets hurt from some monster of the week. "hey theo how come you heal slower? is it bc ur chimera?" "what? no it's the heavy metal poisoning." "THE WHAT?"

thinking about theo raeken all the time because imagine living every day in agony knowing that you survived and your sister is dead- and its because of you. because you're a monster, because everyone tells you you’re a monster, because you're a murderer and thats all you could ever be.

and you know that if you keep letting yourself remember, then you might just kill yourself so you shut out everything and become emotionless because emotions will only destroy the perfectly molded charade you’ve built. because emotions are the fucking reason you’re in this mess and you need them gone forever. and it’s working perfectly- you’re numb and hollow but at least it isn’t excruciatingly painful- and you can live with the monster you are (for the first time since you were nine).

and then you abruptly transition from the hell of your life to a literal hell- you’re dragged into the earth by the same dead sister who has been haunting you since you first scrubbed your hands so hard they bled- and she’s tearing your heart out again and again and now you’re forced to face the consequences of your actions again and again and again. and at one point you realize this is it, this is what you deserve- this is all you’ve ever deserved- and the agony and pain and fear and torment drip their way back into your veins like honey (like blood), replacing cold revenge and making you weak, so fucking pathetic.

you never asked for this, never asked to be born in this hell of a world. but as all the memories and emotions come hurling back, at least you can find peace in the few seconds when your mind is blissfully quiet and your heart stutters to a stop in your sister’s cold, dead hands.

Something about Theo literally being the Came Back Wrong trope but like. Came back wrong as in came back incapable of being who he was before, and maybe that’s not a bad thing. Like, the boy who used emotions as a weapon, who treated everyone’s feelings and their emotional response to his faked feelings, coming back from Hell and being so utterly incapable of hiding his own anymore.

There wasn’t a single scene in S6 where he didn’t have some sort of feeling on his face, some sort of raw emotion about whatever situation they were in. His smiles at Liam are some of the most genuine emoting we see him do and it all seems to very different to that calculating, manipulative persona we had in 5A. Idk man.

Something about Tara ripping his her heart out over and over again until he learned how to feel with it.

i don’t think theo was the one to push tara, but i do think that the doctors made him stand and watch. and it might not have taken her long to die of drowning, or heart-ripped-out, but hypothermia? it sure as hell would have been agonising and slow. even as young as she was. i think they were there at least an hour. probably more.

Thiam headcanon (wolf!Theo version)

Theo often transforms in stressful/fearful situations: Liam has learned not to force him to shift back; instead, he's bought a dog bed for his room, filled with fluffy blankets, stuffed animals, and toys, as well as bowls, so Theo has plenty of time to calmly address the problem.

Theo often hunts when he's in the forest, more out of instinct than actual hunger. Most of the time, he comes home, retransforms, and cleans himself up from blood, but in some occasions Liam has had to force a huge 110-pound dog to stay still in the tub and be washed while Theo yelps, cries, and tries to escape.

Theo's wolf loves to be scratched on the neck, just below the ear, and no matter how hard he tries, when Liam touches him there, his paw starts banging against the floor.

In quiet moments, perhaps when he's in bed with Liam cuddling him, he makes a guttural sound that seem a cat purr; Liam loves it.

One day some kids have thrown firecrackers at him for fun; after that, it took Liam three days to convince him to come out from under his bed and a whole week to convince him to transform back. Needless to say, after practically turning Stilinski's office upside down and threatening half of Beacon Hills to find them, those kids didn't have a good time.

Theo has an orange collar, with Liam's number on it, that hangs near the door; the first time Liam's mother came to their house, it wasn't easy to come up with a plausible explanation for the collar and the absence of dogs.

Liam has accidentally stepped on Theo's tail more than once; the ensuing tragedy is more hellish for the neighbors than for Liam himself.

So, I can't get over this. Theo is self-medicating (removing bullets, stitching himself up, etc.) simply because he prefers that pain to the knowledge of being defenseless on an operating table again. Theo is fucking traumatized and doesn't even know it, and everyone mistakes this for recklessness or ignorance, while he's just terrified.
