self reflection is a good thing but too much self analysis is so exhausting. constantly questioning your own motives and how you're being perceived and whether or not you're being real and what's authentic leads to such a convoluted mentality like. u don't even know who you are cause you just end up being a case study and not a person. i just want to let myself move through the world for a moment

don’t lump jonghyun into lists on twitter like “here’s why 2017 was a bad year for kpop: snsd lost members, miss a disbanded, jonghyun-”
what happened with jonghyun is a much higher caliber of loss and devastation than members leaving a group or a group disbanding. please please PLEASE stop including jonghyun in these things. i shouldn’t even have to point out how incredibly disrespectful it is.
it’s starting to seem like you guys genuinely do not realize that jonghyun’s situation is completely different from other member losses in kpop. it seems like you guys understand at first - you realize he committed suicide and that he’s gone, but then you can’t stop saying “oh he’s gone, just like how jessica is gone and sulli is gone” when they’re completely different. i’ve said this before, but the biggest difference is that your former members are alive. mine isn’t. you guys can still see your former member around. i can’t. i don’t understand why this is so hard for some of you to realize.
tl;dr do not put his suicide on the same level as a group disbanding because the pain involved is worlds different and you should already know this

One of the most common ways we experience spiritual warfare is in the mind. The enemy is constantly hurling lies at us and trying to get us to agree with the discouraging, destructive, and dangerous things he says.
But Satan isn’t creative. Creation belongs to God. So the best he can do is figure out which lies hurt us the most and torment us with them over and over again. The attacks impacting us most today are probably the same attacks he’s been throwing at us our whole lives. But his lies only have power when we choose to agree with them.
When we agree with a lie, we give it credibility. We internalize it and let it become a part of who we believe we are. You’ll know you’ve made an agreement with a lie because it will sound like the voice in your head. If we heard an evil, hissing voice like something out of a movie, we’d never listen to it. But because it’s in our own voice, we’re so much more willing to believe it as truth.
When our thoughts are aligned with God’s word, the devil can’t lie to us. The apostle Paul encourages us to take our thoughts captive. That means not letting our thoughts run wild, but checking our thoughts against the truth of God’s word. He also urges us to think on whatever is true, noble, lovely, and praiseworthy. He understood the mind is a battlefield, and he wanted us to cast out everything that doesn’t line up with God.
Again, taking thoughts captive and casting out lies is active. We can’t simply think “go away.” Satan can’t read our minds. Sometimes we allow him to influence our thoughts when we pick up the lies he hurls at us, but only God is all-knowing and able to hear our thoughts. When Jesus was in the desert being tempted by Satan, Jesus spoke Scripture and told him to go away. In the same way, we have the authority to command him to flee in the name of Jesus.
With practice, it gets easier to spot the inconsistencies between what you’re hearing and what God promises. You’ll get faster at taking thoughts captive, speaking against lies, and realigning with truth. Ask God to help you spot the lies and remind you of the truth so you can more easily fight back!
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, - 2 Corinthians 10:5
My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. - Proverbs 4:20‭-‬22
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. - Psalms 51:10
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. - Philippians 4:8

Starship Explanation
Bear in mind I’m typing this with tears streaming down my face, so excuse any possible grammar errors.
A lot of people are asking if Starship’s official letter - here:
Tumblr media
...is referencing Wonho and I believe it is.
I believe the first paragraph is talking about Wonho in the sense of paraphrasing. If parties are involved in legal actions, they cannot, and are advise to stay quiet, about the situation until a court can resolve it.
Now you might be thinking, “Okay and??? That doesn’t mean it’s related to him,” but listen to me:
Look at how they worded Shownu’s section. They said, “In addition” meaning they’re referencing two different situations.
Do you all see this? Look at the last lines - they’re asking us to continue, so you know what we’re going to do?
WE’RE GOING TO TAKE A 5 MINUTE WATER BREAK AND KICK IT INTO OVERDRIVE, MONBEBES.
SOMEONE FIND A SITE WHERE WE CAN PURCHASE THE SUN AND THE MOON IN MONSTA X’S HONOR.

this isn’t all that there is!!! there are sunsets you haven’t seen, people you haven’t met, things you haven’t learned, food you haven’t tried, and places you haven’t visited. life is so much more than what you’re experiencing right now, and there will always be new things coming. there’s so much more out there for you!!

We all carry different graces, flavors, callings; but wake up for the same one reason and purpose: to love and look like Jesus.
We are diverse but that’s okay. We don’t need to be or look like each other but we can all be and look like Jesus; and in our diversity we find unity in the faith.

God isn’t an emotional crutch; He is your reason to be okay when all else is not. He’s your confidence in a storm. Your peace and joy and life in chaos; your hope against all hope. He is not the promise of no trouble, He is what causes you to shine when trouble touches you.
