Louis and Diego were only supposed to have a one night stand. When Diego's parents unexpectedly turn up the morning after, Louis finds himself getting a crash course in Mexican culture and Diego's family, and quite possibly the healing he didn't even realize he still needed.

Follow along through the entire chaotic and surprising day from the moment Louis wakes up to the time he goes to sleep. It could just be a day in the life... but it turns out to be so much more.

Hi, can you maybe tell me if there are some major changes in reuploaded version of Love After The End Of The World? I've seen that first chapter now is something what we before got later in the fic and i wonder if the changes were just about mostly order of chapters and editing or there is something more?

So there are two main changes to the fic: 

1, the prologue used to be a separate prologue on AO3 called Prometheus Rising. I’ve just combined the two so it’s now the prologue where we meet Zayn and Louis months before the opening of the story. 2) The chapters are now demarcated by the POV. So whereas before we used to have multiple POVs in the same chapter, now they’re separated by Harry or Louis. Nothing else is out of order, promise! I’ve just switched up where the chapters are. :)

Hi, love! While most of the characters I write here are inspired by the boys they’re based off of, every now and then they’ll get some sort of quirk that I’ve seen in real life. As for conversations, definitely! One of my favorite lines in Love After the End of the World came from a conversation with a friend and the entire premise of Three Days In February started from a conversation too!

So yes, for Love After the End of the World there is the possibility of either an epilogue, a companion piece where we see LiLo during the time they’re on their own, or both! I honestly haven’t written the epilogue because I’ve been trying to figure out exactly when it should take place! But the possibility for one is definitely still out there. I hope this helps! <3

Society shattered when all electricity suddenly cut off across the globe, plunging the world into darkness. Now, Prometheus Industries is the sole remaining supply of power, a saving grace to those who survived Lights Out. As fugitives in no-man’s land struggling to break into Prometheus HQ, death lurks around every corner for Louis and Zayn. Things get complicated when a routine recon falls apart and Louis collides with Harry and his mates Niall and Liam, survivors with their own agenda.

When staying alive is already a constant battle, the deadliest weakness is to be in love. For Harry and Louis, finding each other sits on top of the endless list of What Else Could Go Wrong.

Darling, thank you for the beautiful compliments! I have to admit there are definitely some favorite lines that I've written but they may take me forever to find. I'll have to reread Three Days in February and Love After the End of the World to remember them all!

Jesus bloody son of a hell twat.

“Look, just because Fate’s fucking son Cupid wants to play confidence games with love, doesn’t mean I’m going to give away the last fuck I have. I pickled that shit in some top-fucking-tier liquor and there’s not a single damn reason for me to pop the bloody cork.”

"That detonation is there in Louis’s eyes, daring Harry to throw all his logic at the incendiary boy lying fully-clothed in an empty bathtub filled with pillows. But there is no logic when it comes to Louis. Harry’s brain goes hazy every time he’s close to Louis, leaving him so unbalanced he has to fall into his heart to stop himself from falling over."

I just finished to read the bathtub scene in LATEotW for the second time (since I’m re reading it).

I really don’t have enough words or just the rights once to describe how all of these made me feel.

I think there aren’t words yet to describe what I’m feeling. They should make new words for it.

It’s such an intense feeling.

I felt every single fucking word on my skin.

My god.

That was so SO MUCH.

The tension, the feelings, the love the NEED. The need to be human, to be seen, to be understood…the need to just fucking be.

I really….I can’t describe it.

I felt the fragility of the moment and the fragility of the characters. I felt the humanity of them both. I felt the fear, the desperation. My god. The desperation.

I felt so much desperation.

The desperate need to live and to love and to be loved. The desperate need to be forgiven in order to forgive theirselves.

The desperate need to understand in order to being understood and in order to understand theirselves.

Dear god how can I explain this?

I can’t.

I love this story.

I love every single part and every single word from this story.

But this scene just fucking ripped my heart with a strength that left me breathless.

Again.

Even if I knew what was expecting me…I felt it even more intensely this time.

My own world has ended while reading it.

I cherished every word I read because I didn’t want to lose anything, not even a comma.

This was so fucking much.

I’m still recovering from it.

I don’t know if this is enough to really thank you, but it’s the only way I can right now, with half my heart on that bathtub and the other half still trying to heal from all these emotions.

My darling, I'm speechless. The bathtub scene is one of my favorites in Love After the End of the World and I am beyond thrilled that I was able to get the absolute roiling summer thunder storm of emotions that Harry and Louis were feeling out onto the page. Living the way they do, on the run and in hiding can be scary, especially when you add in soulmates and love into the mix. Thank you beyond measure for this beautiful beautiful compliment. I attempted to find you in a quick message but it wouldn’t let me. So happy you enjoyed TDIF. As for Harry’s sequence, the end of chapter 6 has the three biggest clues that he tells Louis when Louis asks. I’m happy to tell you what it means, but wanted to give you the chance to check there just in case you wanted to. I will say, I expect you actually already know what it means but have dismissed it as too easy. 🤓 Hope this helps, darling.

who is the most under-appreciated/overlooked fic author in your eyes?

I've been thinking about this for five hours. lol. It's so hard to say because it feels like there are so many I love that I think aren't appreciated enough.

I think I'm gonna go with @mercurial-madhouse who won't see this ask for like 6 months when she decides to check in again here or something. lol.

I think M's fics are just really special though, and it always surprises me that more people haven't read them. While I think we have some truly incredible fics that are very popular, I think we have just as many that are just as incredible that most 1D readers haven't read. I think it can be easy for fics to get lost in the shuffle of all the fics we get, which we are lucky to have so many, I know.

And I'm starting to ramble, but as an example recently I started reading some fics by someone I thought was a "new" writer and then I looked back at their ao3 and they'd consistently been posting since like 2017 or something and I was like where the hell have I been??? How have I not heard of this writer before now??

(And also my origin story of posting anything on tumblr was to promote @taggiecb 's fics lmaooooo Before that all I did was reblog stuff. But then she started posting fics, and I was like well, I gotta figure out how to tell people about these because she never will!)
