Ok like 100% guaranteed way to make me laugh is to send me a joke that takes out the superlative/adjective from a phrase that should have one like
easily one of the days i've had all week
world's...dad
drinks that taste
this is by far one of the posts youve made
this is one of the world's most sounds
one of the seattle colleges
it won't fail

Three points to consider:
(1) a large majority of production and consumption under capitalism is unnecessary and wasteful (thus, environmentally destructive). And, like a parasitic virus, capitalism seeks neverending growth.
(2) the development of technology outside of a profit motive would be used to create more sustainable and symbiotic sources/ways of living.
(3) capitalism drives urbanization by corralling masses of wage workers into industrial centers. A move away from capitalist modes of production would result in land being occupied in more efficient, localized, and sustainable ways.

“As workers, most men in our culture (like working women) are controlled, dominated. Unlike working women, working men are fed daily a fantasy diet of male supremacy and power. In actuality, they have very little power, and they know it. Yet they do not rebel against the economic order or make revolution. They are socialized by ruling powers to accept their dehumanization and exploitation in the public world of work, and they are taught to expect that the private world, the world of home and intimate relationships, will restore to them their sense of power, which they equate with masculinity. They are taught that they will be able to rule in the home, to control and dominate, that this is the big payoff for their acceptance of an exploitative economic social order. By condoning and perpetuating male domination of women to prevent rebellion on the job, ruling male capitalists ensure that male violence will be expressed in the home and not in the work force.”

IKR, im literally that gif rn 😭 like yall what happened in that voicemail, spill the tea,,, give us the drama
hopefully the season turns around though, and tackles that angsty nerve straight on and actually goes somewhere with the bughead/veronica+archie narrative. otherwise lots of fans are gonna be disappointed. its time for some hefty character development, including making veronica transcend the “daddy issues” plotline that is already expired.
i mean this narrative of “each to his own” and “battling their demons separately” is just sad & nostalgic to watch. we watch riverdale for the #foundfamily vibes, not the #sad
When Betty said she didn’t need (or want) a relationship, she didn’t mean with archie (aside from realizing she doesn’t feel anything for him and they don’t work, that’s another thing), it was in general too. She does not want to have to open up to someone about what happened to her.
That’s why she doesn’t talk with jughead bc she knows she can’t do just friends with him + she thinks she does not have a chance (bc whatever happened with the voicemail). And talking with him would mean dealing with her emotions, and, as we all know, she is repressing them.
#its like;;;#where s the FRIENDSHIP#THE LOVE#THE SUPPORT#why are they just cut off from e/o and going all#nah they wouldn't understand#bro rly#if anyone would its ur forever besties that have gone thru Sht(TM)#along your side#riverdale#fandom#discourse

yES thank u OP for putting it into words. just putting a negative, depressive twist on a story isn’t a “deconstruction” or providing anything of value. step up and do better. write fresh new exciting stories that bring on a positive change. everybody’s bored and tired of dystopias and violence and just want some good, meaningful content
Any story claiming to be a deconstruction of fairy tales but has nothing to offer except new types of violence, more explicit sex, and a general attitude of “lol happy endings aren’t real” is like. such a cultural waste of time tbh

honestly im mid s5 at this point and im so confused like?? i thought bughead was endgame, and so was archie+veronica and yet. both split without any meaningful plotline or narrative that explains it... and so far s5 is so weird with so few interactions between betty & jug like. those two loved e/o no matter what and braved absolutely everything. now u mean to tell me bc of one random kiss (RANDOM is the best way to describe bc it just fell OOC for everyone invovled,,,,) they just indefinitely grew apart, so much that they dont even talk as friends? they of all ppl?? idk just,, i have feels
