I’ve been reading so much manga I had a backlash getting in the mindset of reading left to right. Are you a fan of manga?

Oh, definitely! Though these days I mostly watch anime instead since I don’t have the space or budget to keep up with all the 20+ volume series lmao But I have very fond memories especially of going to the bookstore with my older sister after she got her paychecks so we could buy the latest manga haha

Fanfictions have given me unrealistic expectations for real life ‘first-day-of college’/'walking-into-a-coffee-shop’/'new-kid-transferring-to-school’/'being-in-a group-project’ situations

The fact that Aang & Katara had 3 kids still baffles me. Not because of any shipping reasons (cause I do like kataang), but just… Aang having sex is hilarious to me. Regardless of him & Katara being 18+ for it, just the idea of that goofball going to bed with someone is funny.

Kataang fanfics?

I know I haven’t been around these last couple months due to personal and technical reasons, but I’ve got a quick question. 

I was suddenly struck by a desire to reread a few old, but wonderful Kataang fanfics by @spirit-koi.  I think their account had been inactive for a while, but I had reread some of their stories only a few months back I believe.  Some of them were sad, some were fluff, some were smut - they were all entertaining though. 

And now they’re all gone.  Example

Does anyone know if they changed accounts or what happened? 

The ‘first’ post on the blog is literally from August 30th, so I have no idea what to think.

I’d leave a message for spirit-koi, but the /ask link is ‘Not Found.’ 

I completely respect their decision to wipe their account, if they did so intentionally, but I was excited to reread some old, favorite stories since I was having a bit of a rough day. 

And then I just felt worse learning such talent - and wonderful Kataang fan work - had disappeared, potentially less than a week ago (the google searches still show the plot summaries for some of the stories).  There’s such little new content posted these days that I was trying to find inspiration in the stories that showed up when I first started writing.

That being said, if no one knows about spirit-koi, I know I haven’t read any stories posted for Kataang Week, nor have I written any in a while. 

So does anyone have any fanfic recs, new or old?  Or any suggestions for something I might write?
