A small concept for the boat I mentioned last post and a few sketches 💥💥

(Warning for a smidgen of uncolored gore, but still— missing eyeball)

Still working on determining what things look like inside, but here's a vague idea of the boat I made my sacksona live on. Based it on a Lord Nelson Victory Tug and the boat from Ponyo (Fujimoto's boat)

Redesigned my sacksona/persona! It's been a while since I've touched my design, but here we are now! Additionally, it's been a while since I've uh... posted here in general lol. A lot is happening, but we push through 💥 I also decided on using #mochi made art omg to tag my artworks now :]

Although the LBP community has little to no pulse, I still find it to be a core interest of mine. While Undertale was the first fandom I stumbled upon at a young age by pure accident thanks to Amino, the LBP Amino was where I made loads of friends and got to enjoy a franchise of wonder and creativity. That amino, as well as others, obviously had their own set of issues and I was not a perfect moderator, but Amino aside, LBP and the friends I interacted with gave younger me a wonderful experience. A good chunk of my art was LBP-related, and although I've drifted from the franchise, I circle back to it eventually just like my other interests.

that tv show you used to love

they just don't make characters like jon archivist sims. he spends an entire season having a forty episode long delusional breakdown and that's only maybe the third or fourth worst period of time in his life. he gets intervened on twice. he gets kidnapped thrice. during one of those kidnappings he spends a month tied to a chair getting forcibly moisturized by a plastic ringmistress mannequin and no one notices. he fully dies for six months but gets up again when a friendly grim reaper gives his unbreathing body a pep talk. he spends several episodes at the start of the final season so depressed that it's unclear if he even moves for multiple days in a row. the basis for his magic powers is that he is so traumatized that he begins to need continuous further trauma in order to live, which gives him the ability to explode people with his mind. he spends about fifty seconds at the top of an episode self-harming directly into a tape recorder, which is not even the most fucked up thing to happen to him that episode. he finally cried on audio for the first time in the penultimate ep and the only reaction I saw for several days after was wildly enthusiastic cheering. he's missing two ribs and he's at least 80% scar tissue by volume and the only canon information we have about his appearance is that he looks terrible at all times.

anyway a new tarot piece! i think i might've died on this one, yay. i couldn't let go of the black n white version so imma add it here just for myself. jane is one of my faves in terms of statements, so i just had to include her. also still not sure if i should just throw jonah as the emperor.

I keep seeing posts that are like "season 1 Tim would be friends with this character" or "season 1 Tim would make archives team watch trashy movies with him" or "season 1 Tim would do this, or this, and season 1 Tim is so friendly and nice with everyone!". And like. There is nothing wrong with headcanons. But I feel like it's very demonstrative of the larger fandom problem of completely ignoring canon to favour a carefully crafted, wildly spread and completely incorrect fanon.

Because believe it or not, season 1 Tim is.... not like that. When I first listened to TMA, before I had any interactions with the fandom, I didn't perceive him like this. Then I started interacting with the fandom, and I, too, saw this interpretation and said, "Oh! I'll add that to my belief system!". But I recently relistened to season 1, and realised how wrong that was.

Tim is "the hot one." Sure. That's canon, Basira said it in season 2. However, Tim is also an incredibly closed off and secretive person. And actually, canonically, he doesn't have many friends at the Institute. Which makes even more sense than him being friendly with everyone. He arrived at the Institute traumatised by The Stranger of all things, making him very distrustful of everyone. Yes, he became friends with pre-season 1 Jonathan "don't talk to me I'm busy" Sims, but Jon was also a traumatised person who was desperately looking for answers.

Sasha (who, by the way, I find is way too often ignored by the fandom) is the friendly one. Sasha became friends with Tim and Jon, Sasha tried her best to make Martin feel accepted in the Archives, Sasha is the nosy one who gets into everyone's business. Not Tim.
