On 2 January I received a letter telling me the date of my dreaded driving test later that month. On the morning of the test I sat with Freddie and Mary. ‘Well,’ Freddie said, ‘I was going to get you a leather jacket for your birthday, but if you pass you rtest I’ll help you buy a car.’ I said: ‘Don’t be ridiculous! I hadn’t even thought of getting a little banger.’ I took the test and, to my amazement passed. I couldn’t wait to get back home and tell Garden Lodge my news. An hour later I arrived home. Freddie was sitting in the lounge, anxious to hear the news. ‘Well?’ Freddie asked. ‘I’ve passed’,’ I said. I was still in a state of utter disbelief. ‘Well done!’ he cried and jumped up to give me a cuddle. That night Freddie laid on an impromptu party and told the guest why we were celebrating. Silly little presents turned up all night, including the kind of joke sun-visor which usually identified ‘Kevin and Sharon’ types as driver and passenger, except mine read ‘Melina and Jim’. The names were the wrong way around, making Freddie the driver. There was little chance of that ever happening, though he did tell mehe’d once had a driving lesson - just once. It lasted no more than ten minutes. He met the instructor, got into the car, stalled the engine, got out and declared: ‘I can’t be bothered with this.’

Please, stop putting beauty filters on Queen photos/screencaptures.
Some people have been using them to create new HD pictures : when a photo or a screencapture is too blurry, they put some filters that polish the picture and erase the “flaws”. As you can see, on close-ups, Freddie’s teeth are straightened… his skin is all clean, he looks younger… So we totally see that the photo is not “real”.
Those “beauty filters” are real shit. I personnaly think this is awful that a machine tells youngsters how they are supposed to look to be “beautiful”. Especially youngters who suffer from insecurities, lack of self confidence… The worst is that this filter is automatically activated when you take selfies with your phone. You have to disable it to look “normal” on your photos… What a sad world we’re living in…

Freddie Mercury with wings! I’ve only seen this little vest at this one show, December 22, 1977 at the Forum, and I love it! My edits of originals by Richard Creamer, sources here, here, and here.

So, if you've been active in the solo Freddie (or even Queen) fanbase lately, you've probably seen the music video for Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow.
I'm glad we all seem to be completely in love & in tears because of this masterpiece, but it's odd how no one has mentioned the VERY talented people behind it.
Our heroes names' are Esteban Bravo and Beth David, and they're the directors behind the video. Esteban is a gay man & Beth is a lesbian, and the two focus on creating content that includes LGBTQ+ storylines!

You might have heard of them before, and that would be thanks to their previous work, In a Heartbeat. The short film gained a lot of fame on social media a little more than a year ago, and it is critically acclaimed, too. If you haven't watched it already, you should be googling the title right now.

I just really hope that the fandom thanks Esteban and Beth because they truly did this song so much justice! Also, in their Instagram captions, they were so fucking sweet about their involvement in the music video.
