this pride month consider helping out a south american trans woman

hi everynyan, it's me again. sadly i have bad news yet again. not only am i disabled, and at the best of times my wages are 0.69 usd an hour, that's right, 69 of uncle sam's own cents, for a total of 180 usd a month, when the cost of living where i'm at is ten times that or more.

and not only do i need life preserving medication that costs three times my monthly wages.

not only this precarious situation means that i stretch food to the point where i eat once every other day or go days without a meal.

and not only do i support a mother who's undergoing a cancer treatment, today one of my neighbors told the power company that i was "stealing her electricity" and now the lights are completely out.

so once again i come pleading and begging to all of you for anything you can spare so i can bring the lights back on for good and afford my medication. please, even if you can't share anything, share my post around so that it might reach others. i know you don't like seeing them, and i don't like begging as well, but this is the only resort still available to me.

it's kind of sad that we don't really do custom ringtones anymore. most people just stick with the default list that comes with your phone, if they change it at all. if they're even aware they can change it at all. like yeah, people letting their phones ring in public is obnoxious, but wouldn't it be a little less obnoxious if it was something funny? or personal? people used to change the text tone of every contact so every time they got a text they knew who it was just from the sound. isn't that sweet? isn't that nice? don't you miss it? don't you want to scream when you hear that stupid apple pa-Ting!??? we could have a chorus of awoogas and clips of people's favorite songs and recordings saying '(blank) IS CALLING, WARNING, (blank) IS CALLING' and all things considered i would prefer that over pa-Ting!, pa-Ting!, pa-Ting!, whistle whistle, pa-Ting!

anyway im going to change my ringtone to the oldschool skype call sound and nobody will ever hear it because my phone is always on silent but i'll know. i'll know

Is Google finally deploying some variation of Gemini to calculate google maps routes?

Today I tried to find the best way to commute to a point in Madrid, and not only it didn’t offer any option using the closest metro station (instead suggesting me to leave the subway two stops before and walk for 20 minutes), but also the travel time was wildly inflated (according to Google, the fastest route was 1h 20 min, we got there in 50min).

Seriously, I think this was the last Google product that worked well. It’s incredible how much they are killing their own products

i genuinely think that "maoist" as a label is such a horrific and unfortunate misnomer and it genuinely saddens me that communists and liberals alike have accepted its use. "maoists" as we know them do not actually understand mao; if they did, they would not be maoists, but marxist-leninists, who understand the danger of dogmatist error! Mao was not a Maoist but a Marxist-Leninist, who afforded significant, profound, and critical innovations to Marxism-Leninism -- but this does not make what he did to be "Maoism." His work was a critical addition to the foundation upon which the numerous Marxist-Leninist traditions the world-over build and innovate and develop. But he was a contributor to the science of Marxism-Leninism, not a progenitor of a "more advanced" form of Marxism than Marxism-Leninism.
