Not American so I have no stake in this whatso ever but it's been funny seeing Americans so blind sighted by the Latino vote.
Why did they think Latinos will vote Dems every time? Are Latinos all of a sudden...not conservatives? Not Catholics? lol?
If your analysis of American politics begins and ends with "POC = left, white = right" no wonder you were so flabergasted by the votes. My poli sci prof talked about it a lot and more or less predicted that Latinos are becoming an integral demographic in terms of political votes. The dems and republicans will try to court them but the Republicans appeal to them with little effort.
Honestly if it weren't for Palestine being a contentious issue, I bet you Arab-Americans and Muslim Americans would have had similar voting patterns to Latinos anyway. Maybe more so with Muslim Americans than Arabs-Americans.
It's still baffling that, what seems to be, the majority of left wing progressives do not want to look at the obvious truth that's been emerging since 2016 and still stick to the most simplistic view of their country. You will never change.
Congrats on Trump Winning, it's what Americans deserve.
For me who wins doesn't matter, both have hawkish foreign policy and nothing would have improved in the MENA region anyway
#tbh though...Trump...did make some weird effort to reach out to MENA dictators#Sisi and MBS mainly it was a weird time#US politics

Could do without the editorializing from the interviewer, but YOOOOO
this video has 260k+ likes on TikTok, so who knows how many others have watched it, but you know it’s A LOT! Even if they don’t agree, her message is clear and on point and has reached hundreds of thousands, including normies. I rag on bisexuals a lot, but Belissa Cohen (of LGB Fight Back fame) is truly biconic
#lol she's right#LGB issues are different#no one tells you that you're going to go to hell and you're a freak of nature for wanting to abstain from relationships or sex#and whatever taboo also applies to LGB and straight people anyway#a straight woman or man not getting married is viewed the same way as an asexual#T is a mess on it's own anyway#Q doesn't want to get defined

These three flags are garbage and look gross.
Let’s go back to the original, please?
This one is so pretty! The pink and light blue look so cute and helps break the flag up a bit more. Plus they were removed for stupid reasons.

I started peaking sometime last year and during June 2021 I started entering online spaces I previously looked down on. I learned and unlearned so much, I finally questioned the inconsistencies observed, no stone was left unturned.
This whole process was very difficult honestly. I went through periods of complete self loathing I thought I was insane. I don’t fully ascribe to any belief and no label really fits me. I’m still on a never ending journey of learning and questioning things.

Failed boy
Fun language fact of the day! In French, “tomboy” is “garçon manqué”, which could be translated as “failed boy”. That’s the idea, if you are a gender non conforming girl you are a failed boy. The opposite technically exists, of course, “fille manquée”, a failed girl, for gnc boys, but I never actually heard it, as gnc boys are more often called gay.
I was a gnc girl, grew up being called a failed boy. One of the dudes. A boy stuck in a girl’s body. My mum would joke “Oh, I wanted a daughter, but instead I got two sons and Katell”. Because, of course, I wasn’t a whole boy, a whole son, either, I was just a failed boy. A little girl who was loud and wanted to play rugby and didn’t like dresses and skirts and dug her heels in the ground so hard at her dance group (that my mum signed me up for, it was that or nothing) when we had to dress up as little princesses in our end-of-year show that the teacher had to give in and allowed me to be the river, wrapped in 10m of plastic. But that kind of girl isn’t a “proper girl”, so I was a “failed boy” instead.
Then I grew up. And met other gnc girls and women, and was exposed to more diverse media through the internet (which wasn’t so readily available before), won some battles with my mother. Realized I wasn’t a failed boy, or a boy trapped in a girl’s body, and I wasn’t a failed girl either, I was just a girl failing to live up to society’s shitty expectations of me. And that was fine with me.
Now I’m a gnc woman. And I just find it so fucking funny, in an absolutely not funny and I’m pissed off way, that the “failed boy” accusations are coming again, but this time not from a bunch of backward ass French people from my asscrack-countryside, but from the crowd that pretends to be as progressive as it gets. And even from (liberal) feminists. I’m not gender conforming so I must be a man trapped in a woman’s body. Or, wait! Maybe I’m “non-binary”! But here are the good news, they have a cure! They can make me a whole boy, a whole man, give me the right body to fit my behaviour. Several times already I’ve been pushed about my pronouns, told I have more “she/they” (???) or “he/him” vibes, more male energy. Can’t y’all see how fucking backward you are?
Fuck, when I’m told I have “she/they vibes” it feels exactly like my mother saying “I have two sons and Katell”. When I’m told I have “male energy”, it’s the failed boy all over again. It’s the exact same thing. Except somehow worse because while my mother only had complaints about my failed boy behaviour, the gender ideology crowd has meds and surgery.

You don’t understand why people are calling it a religion. No one is saying you are a Christian but they’re comparing the way you treat people with that of very religious people.
Detrans people are met with an intense level of vitriol. If you go against any of the principles you’re shuned and shamed, even if you agree with every other thing (eg you don’t think children should be put on child puberty gets you called a transphobic bigot)
the weirdest thing ever is anti theist terfs thinking being trans/nonbinary is a religion. hello??? the christians fucking hate us almost universally, how unimaginably stupid do you have to be to come to that conclusion but i suppose anything is possible when they’ve already sided with conservative christians to get what they want: more trans people and trans kids dead and nonexistent.

“Its not my job to teach you, go do your own research!”
That’s fine I did my own research and came to the conclusion that you’re just delusional and plain wrong.

It’s trendy to hate in the UK for some nowadays, I think it’s just part of that.
Quick question: Is the U.K actually a "TERF" island? I'm highly considering doing my masters in the U.K (either Edinburgh or London) and I want to know if it's safe to say gender critical things in liberal/progressive/leftist spaces. Here in australia it's been much a no-go. Are there also LGB or LB only spaces as well?
tbh I don't see what makes the UK terf island, especially in the universities where it's a choice between playing along or ostracism/career truncation. free speech about these issues isn't guaranteed and feminism is hate speech now apparently. don't want to discourage you, I do love living and studying here, but my experience in a major UK university has been witnessing the lgbt society and events quickly change to 'queerfest' or similar and the erasure of women's studies in favour of gender studies. staff have been encouraged to add pronouns to their email sign offs. our equality and acceptance training acknowledges gender based oppression not sex based oppression. it's not exactly the radfem paradise it's made out to be and I'm not sure where 'terf island' came from other than when the maya forstater and jkr thing first happened.

the women in my gender studies class will come to gender critical conclusions like "how can nonbinary exist without putting everyone else inside the binary?" and "why is gender viewed as empowering by so many people when we can see it's oppressive?" and immediately follow it up with a "but of course trans rights are human rights!" stop adding caveats. speak with your chest.
