So Miles. Are you still afraid of thunders? Or did you overcome that fear?
"You were scared of thunder, Miles?" Kit asked, a bit surprised. "I don't think I've ever seen you genuinely afraid of anything."
Tails didn’t respond right away. His arms folded across his chest, and his eyes shifted off to the side, avoiding Kit's gaze. He stayed quiet for a few seconds, like he was debating whether to answer at all.
"Yeah..." he said at last, his voice low. "I was afraid of it for a long time, Lightning. Most of my childhood, actually. Days where it stormed were always the worst for me back then. Even when... he was around." Tails hesitated, his expression tightening slightly. "He always just barely managed to calm me down."
"So... why were you so afraid? And what changed?" Kit asked gently.
"Lightning always brought back bad memories," he said slowly. "But I’m not afraid of it anymore." He paused again, this time with a hint of something heavier behind his words. "I’ve got worse memories now."
Kit nodded slightly, understanding more than he let on. "I guess I understand... would you like some mint tea, Miles?"
Tails let out a soft breath, something between a sigh and a release of tension. A small, tired smile tugged at the edge of his muzzle. "Yeah... I would."

Kit, you seem to always be trying to cheer Tails up, even if he acts like he's annoyed by it most the time, I'm sure deep down he appreciates it. But what about you Kit? What makes you happy? How are you doing?
"How am... I... doing?" Kit repeated, his voice faltering slightly as the question settled in. He froze, his expression going still while his eyes flickered with a rush of emotion he didn’t seem prepared for. Confusion, panic, and something resembling sadness all conflicting with each other.
He stayed quiet for a short while, before finally looking up. A small smile formed on his face, but it didn’t reach his eyes. It was careful, practiced, and noticeably out of place for someone usually so expressive.
"I'm fine," he said quietly. "It's really no problem. You don't have to worry about me."
He glanced off to the side, the smile still held in place like it was part of a performance.
"As long as I'm being useful... I'm happy." His voice trembled just a little near the end, not enough to fully betray him, but enough to leave a lingering sense that there was more he wasn’t saying.

Abracadabra!! Now Chris is in Miles' arms, bridal style. And also you're both in the air so you can't drop him.
"A-Abraca- WHAT?!" Tails yelped, his arms suddenly full of Kit, who was now cradled against his chest, legs dangling and one arm wrapped around Tails' shoulders as they hovered in the air. "What the... what is happening?!"
Kit blinked, then immediately beamed, his entire face lighting up with a rosy blush. "Oh my~ Miles! How romantic, you're carrying me through the air like you're some kind of superhero~"
"This isn’t me!" Tails protested, his two tails spinning rapidly to keep them airborne as he struggled not to drop Kit. His face was rapidly turning red, ears flattening against his head. "I didn’t choose this! Some outside force just... this is involuntary bridal-carrying! Completely involuntary!"
Kit giggled and leaned into him, making himself even more comfortable. "You’re still holding me though. Looks like your arms disagree."
"I can’t drop you! We’re in the air!" Tails shouted, voice cracking as he flailed slightly and instinctively tightened his grip.
"Exactly~ So just accept your destiny, Miles," Kit purred, resting his head dramatically against Tails’ chest. "Strong arms, soft heart. My hero."
"I swear to Gaia, if you had something to do with this you little SHIT, I'm going to have so many words for you when we land," Tails muttered, glaring down at the ground far below them as Kit snuggled in closer with a smug grin.

So, Tails is suicidal? Kit, how does that effect you?
Kit froze, his entire body going still. The question hung in the air, heavy and invasive, and for a long moment, he didn’t say anything, couldn't say anything. His eyes drifted downward, searching the floor for something, maybe the right words, or maybe the strength to speak them. Eventually, he let out a quiet, shaky breath and spoke.
"How do you think it makes me feel?" he asked, His voice was soft, barely above a whisper, but there was a bitterness underneath it, sharp and trembling. It wasn’t just sadness. It was anger to, resentment at being asked the question.
"I hate seeing him like that. On the best of those awful days, he just cries, shuts himself in his room or hides in the emerald chamber... curled up somewhere alone, stuffing himself with sweets like sugar is the only thing that can dull the pain. And those are the good days." Kit's hands slowly clenched into fists.
"On worse days... he cuts himself. He uses those metal claws of his to slice through his own skin, deep enough to nick arteries. I try to get to him before his auto-medical systems activate, but sometimes... sometimes I’m too late to stop it from happening at all." He swallowed hard, his voice unsteady.
"Then there are the days when he tries to shove his head into machines, hoping something'll crush his skull. Or when he starts experimenting on himself, not because it’s necessary, but because he doesn’t care what happens. Because he wants something to go wrong. He treats his body like it’s nothing... like it doesn’t matter."
Kit looked up, his eyes red and glassy. "I’m convinced most of the augmentations he’s done to himself were never about efficiency or progress. He knows we'll always stop him... me... Amy... or Knuckles... we're always keeping an eye on him... and he knows it... and he hates it. So I think those experiments were just... disguised attempts to finally get away with it... to finally end it all. Like if he could just disappear piece by piece, maybe no one would notice he was gone until it was too late."
He went quiet again, voice hollowed out. "So yeah... it affects me."

Miles, if Chris was to ask you out to go to dinner with him, just the two of you, would you go?
"Well... considering we already eat together most nights, I don't imagine there's a reason why I shouldn't," Tails said casually, his brow furrowing slightly in confusion at the question.
"Miles... I think they're asking more like if I asked you out on a date," Kit clarified, chuckling softly finding Tails’ awkwardness endearing.
"Oh..." Tails muttered, his expression shifting immediately. He looked off to the side, narrowing his eyes a little as he began to think it over. A long pause followed, the gears in his head clearly turning as he tried to form a response. "Well, in that case... y-yes. Because if Kit went out to eat without me... he probably wouldn't cook me dinner when he got back. And then I’d end up going to bed without eating anything... And he'd complain about it the next morning. Telling me I have to take better care of myself and all that... not skip meals... or go days without sleep..."
Kit blinked, unsure whether to be touched or insulted. "Uhhh... w-well that’s... not the most romantic answer... But it’s still a yes, so I guess we’re getting somewhere."
"It’s practical," Tails responded.
"...Still saying yes though," Kit replied with a small, warm smile, clearly holding onto the part that mattered most.

So Miles, did you once carried Chris while flying with your two tails? If so how did you do it? Carrying him like a princess or with his butt close to your face?
"W-wha... what?!" Tails stammered, his ears shooting up as his face flushed with confusion and outrage. "I... that's not—what kind of question is that?!"
"He holds my hand," Kit chimed in with a soft, bashful smile, his cheeks tinting pink as he spoke with a hint of reverence.
"Don’t say it like that!" Tails snapped, his tails flicked behind him in agitation. "If we’re on an expedition and I need to get Kit somewhere high up, I grab him by both his hands and fly him up. That’s it. There’s no carrying him like a princess, and definitely no... butt in my face."
"I really wouldn’t mind if you carried me like a princess, Miles," Kit said sweetly, tilting his head. "Bridal style. I’m small, you could easily lift me with those big strong arms~ Hold me against that fluffy chest of yo—"
"Shut up, Kit!" Tails shouted.

Hey Kit, do you think Tails would be dumb enough to hit on someone that looked extremely similar to you while drunk? Like, almost-your-twin-but-wearing-different-clothes level similar?
((I maaay have already made a stupid doodle relating to this... >w>))
"N-no... Miles' eyes tend to glitch out whenever he's drunk. Sometimes they even break, which is... uhhh... even if they aren’t real eyes, it’s still really unpleasant to look at," Kit said, his ears twitching at the memory. "So when that happens, he mostly relies on his nose and ears to find things."
He fidgeted slightly, glancing off to the side. "It usually just leads him to anything that smells like mint... but sometimes it leads him to me and... ummm... h-he gets really..." Kit trailed off, looking down as a deep blush spread across his face. "...excited sometimes..."

Umm, excuse me, but did that prophecy say Tails would ascend to godhood?!
I don't know whether to respond to this in any character or out of character so...
Yeah it did, that is exactly what I wrote "the fox will journey to a land of endless ice, snow, and trees that pierce the heavens. There he will face a familiar gaze worn by an unfamiliar sibling, and through this trial, he shall ascend to godhood." and it was not a typo of any kind.
Though that isn't entirely true, this godhood he'll achieve is more of a title.

(Kinda wish this was a Chris after Revenant gets introduced into my AU, but oh well.)
Chris didn’t know what to say. No words came to him, no instinctive reaction, only wide eyes filled with fear and confusion. So much of what Kitsunami had just said was foreign to him, some of it made no sense, and some of it horrified him.
“Sonic? Tails? Shadow?” Chris muttered, barely audible. “That...” He trailed off, lowering his gaze as he tried to process everything, struggling to hold it all in his mind.
Before he could finish, the heavy clang of metal footsteps rang through the air behind him.
"KIT!" a voice shouted.
Chris flinched and turned, startled.
“Uh oh... guess I’m outta here,” she said casually, already backing away. “Hope you two sort out... whatever mess this is.” Without waiting for a reply, she spun around and left, her footsteps retreating quickly down the corridor.
"Kit!"
Chris's ears twitched at the sound of the voice. "Miles?!" he called out instinctively.
Tails stepped into the room, his movements sharp, his face twisted in frustration. “You mind telling me why the FUCK the lab is soaking wet?” he snapped. “Water all over the floors, all over the equipment-” He stopped abruptly, his eyes locking onto Kitsunami.
For a long moment, Tails said nothing. His gaze shifted, sweeping over the smaller fox with clinical precision. When he finally spoke, his voice was colder, more controlled. “Oh... looks like we’ve got our little culprit right here.”
He studied Kitsunami with a long, unreadable look, taking in the details of the boy’s appearance.
“Pretty impressive parts you’ve got there, kid,” Tails said at last, “you’re probably more metal than I am. Don't imagine a kid your age agreed to all that. unless...” Tails narrowed his eyes, looking at Kitsunami as if he could look right through him.
"Uhh... Miles... there's really no need to be so skeptical" Chris started, his voice hesitant, trying to defuse the tension that was beginning to rise.
Kitsunami was lost. Very lost. He and Surge had been walking through the Restoration when he took a corner and suddenly was somewhere he didn't recognize with Surge nowhere in sight. He had run through the strange base, opening doors and trying to find Surge when he ended up in a lab.
Looking around, Kitsunami walked forwards - this certainly didn't seem like the Restoration - until he bumped into a tall person in a lab coat.
"Oh! Who's that-" said the scientist, turning to look at Kitsunami. And Kitsunami was staring into the almost identical face of Chris.
The resemblance was impossible to ignore. Chris (Kit), stared in stunned silence, his wide eyes sweeping over Kitsunami with growing disbelief. For a long moment, neither of them spoke, the silence hanging heavily between them as Chris struggled to process what he was seeing. He had expected many things in the lab that day, but not this, someone who looked so much like him it made his heart skip. Finally, realizing how long he had been staring, Chris blinked and took a step back, his voice unsteady as he tried to sound casual. “Uhh… hey, w-what’s your name, kid?” he asked, offering a small, hesitant smile that didn’t quite mask the hope flickering behind his eyes.

To the Metal Emperor's Master, if you have seen the 'threads of fate' as you call them, what is Tails' future?
The fox's future is nothingness. When the stars tremble and the fabric of existence calls for it's savior, he will waver, He will fall at the edge of hope and be consumed into the jaws of despair.
But hear now the tale in full, the unfolding of an age.
The fox, though burdened by pain, will cast aside his yearning for death. He will live on for those he loves, and for the memory of those he could not save. He will rise to challenge the Metallic Tyrant who rules among the stars, and he will triumph. But in doing so, he will awaken the Machine God. And with no force remaining to bar its path, the Ultimate Lifeform, bound by a vow to a cherished soul, will offer his life to strike the Machine God down. Peace will follow, brief and shining, like sunlight after a storm.
Yet peace is a fragile thing.
From the shadows will emerge the False Queen. She will awaken the God of Destruction, believing it a wellspring of boundless power. But the God of Destruction is burdened by an ancient grief, and will answer her summons with wrath. Leading the Failed Guardian to stand against it, and the ancient fury shall be undone.
Soon after, the Ultimate Lifeform will then rise once more, reborn from the grave wearing the horns and wings of the devil, his soul consumed by hatred and sorrow. But in the face of darkness, his friends will not falter. They will reach into the storm within him, and awaken the love still buried in his heart. And together, he and the fox will face the devil and cast it down.
But the False Queen will not rest. She will return, and tear the balance apart, setting the light and the dark free from their ancient slumber. The dark will hunger for ruin and corruption, but the fox, alongside the light, will mend what was broken and reunite the sundered world.
In time, the fox will journey to a land of endless ice, snow, and trees that pierce the heavens. There he will face a familiar gaze worn by an unfamiliar sibling, and through this trial, he shall ascend to godhood.
The Ultimate Lifeform will become the guardian of a delicate flower fallen from the stars. And the fox and his companions will face foes forged of metal and vines, and though they'll emerge victorious, they will mourn the star-born flower, who will be lost to the battle’s end. Forcing the Ultimate Lifeform to once more grieve the loss of another innocent soul he could not save.
Once more, the False Queen will return. She will shatter the world and its people, forcing the Failed Guardian to cross new realms and confront faces from his past. And when the world is stitched whole once more, The False Queen will feign redemption. She will host a tournament among the stars, claiming peace, but hiding theft. The fox and his allies will uncover the stolen spirits and their imprisoned mother. In a desperate flight, they will free the spirits and cast the False Queen down once again.
Yet her defeat will be her discovery. In the shadows of time, she will find the Time Eater. With its power, she will resurrect the Machine God. Reawakened and relentless, the Machine God will resume its mission, unraveling the fabric of space and time. But the fox, hand in hand with his long-lost sibling, will stand in defiance and bring it to ruin.
Even then, the scars of the past will fester. In another world, a single faltering step taken by a swordsman bearing a red blade will doom this land. That world will fall to phantoms and metal, birthing a twisted reflection of the swordsman. And when all hope fades, and the World's greatest heroes fall to the metal and phantoms, the swordsman will rise alongside a psychic from a doomed world, and together they will shatter the mirror and liberate their people.
But in the wake of salvation, the False Queen will journey to the islands of stars. There she will awaken secrets lost to time and become lost herself, swallowed by the dream of the Ancients. The fox and his friends, drawn by fate, will be caught in the same dream. Within its illusion, the fox will follow the shadows of his brother and find the path to escape.
To free those still trapped, he will face the titans. But, with every battle won, the Dream will tighten its grip, and piece by piece, victory after victory, the corruption will claim him. Until finally, the legend draws its final breath...

What if there was a Slay The Princess AU but Miles was the princess and Kit (Chris) was the hero?
(IF yk the game then yk, if u havent- check it out of u want!)
HEHEEEEE- IDEAAAS???
(Never played the game but I've seen it before, if I remember correctly the princess is some eldritch entity that's going to destroy the world, and she either tries to gaslight or kill you?)
"Kit, I hope you'd be willing to kill me for the greater good of the world," Tails said seriously.
Kit’s ears twitched. He looked up at Tails, blinking several times in disbelief. "What?! W-why... why would I ever..." he stammered, his voice caught somewhere between confusion and panic.
Before he could finish, Tails stepped forward and grabbed Kit’s wrist firmly. His grip wasn’t painful, but it was intense and commanding. He stared directly into Kit’s eyes, his own filled with a strange mix of steel and sorrow. "If it were to ever come to that, Kit... you pull the trigger. Do you hear me?" Tails growled, his tone not angry but absolute. There was no room for negotiation in it. Just grim certainty.
Kit’s lips parted, but no words came. His breath hitched as he looked at Tails, his entire body starting to tremble. "Wha... wha... what... why?" he whispered, his voice barely holding itself together, like he was seconds away from breaking.

You know Miles. You could fire Chris if you don't feel comfortable with him constantly hitting on you. Unless of course, you like that?
"Don't be ridiculous. Kit may have his... quirks... but he’s proven his usefulness," Tails said firmly, his arms folded and expression serious. "He’s loyal, reliable, and hasn’t gotten himself killed on any of our expeditions. That already puts him above half the people I’ve worked with. Just because he can be... occasionally..." He paused, his eyes shifting to Kit, who was lounging nearby with a smug little smile. "...irritating, doesn’t mean I should fire him. He’d be too difficult to replace."
Kit tilted his head, grin widening. "What’s with the sudden shift, Tails~? You tell me all the time you can fire me whenever you want~"
"Because I can!" Tails snapped, his two tails lashing behind him like. His ears folding flat against his head as he glared at Kit.
"No you can’t~" Kit replied in a sing-song voice, clearly enjoying himself.
"YES I CAN!" Tails shouted, his voice cracking slightly with frustration.
Kit leaned forward, eyes gleaming. "Then what if I were to quit, huh? What if I quit right now? Would you try to stop me?"
Tails growled, trying to hold onto his anger, trying to stay sharp and unbothered. But the tension in his face softened. The redness creeping into his cheeks betrayed him. His mouth opened as if to say something, but no words came. Instead, he turned on his heel and stormed out of the room without another sound.
Kit chuckled, leaning back with smug satisfaction. "Hahaha, that’s what I thought."

This may not kill the Emperor, but it might be able to stun him long enough to give yourself time to think of something;
Launch something at him at over 60.76 x10^95c, or over 6.076e+96x the speed of light.
Whatever hits him at this speed (if it doesn't immediately cease to exist) will cause serious damage.
“Nothing is too fast for me, I’d dodge it.” The Metal Emperor said confidently.
As a very angry, amber orange object comes flying foot first towards the back of his head.

Kit seems awfully good at sneaking up on you and saying embarrassing things with perfect comedic timing. Maybe you should get him a bell collar or something? Actually, you know what- here, have a magic one:
Tumblr media
It can only come off at Tails' command. Because magic. Ripley's enjoy it or don't. :3
((It might also just be an ordinary collar and I'm full of bs, but it did magically appear on Kit's neck, so...???))
(:D Oh my god Kit looks so cute there!<3)
As Kit moved back and forth in the lab, performing various tasks and errands, Tails grew increasingly irritated by the jingling bell. At first, he could ignore it, but soon a low growl rumbled in his throat, and his ears flattened every time the bell rang. Finally, unable to tolerate it any longer, he roared with anger, tore the bell from Kit's neck, and crushed it between his teeth.

Hey Tails, why do you wear a belt? It’s not like you wear pants. Are you wearing pants? Are you secretly wearing pants that are the same colour as your fur?
“They hold pockets, pockets that hold gadgets and tools, tools that I use, because they’re useful.” Tails explained bluntly.
