It's a simple thing to forget, to see history through the eyes of those that didn't focus much on it. He could see it in his eyes, as quick and brief as it is, the immensity of it. There the moment, gone the next.

"Well, it's no Mardi Gras, but we do what we can-- On a budget." He appreciated his part in this perhaps more so than the team-up earlier. Hardly any press (one overworked and underpaid student writing for the school paper, another journalist for the local paper enjoying the h'or d'oeuvres too much to focus on the task at hand), the few rich benefactors who acted shocked and excited for about five seconds before realizing they had nothing to talk about with the man. Still, it got the people excited, and more eyes on the museum. What more could one ask for?

"Yes, it was quite the media circus, from what I could tell. For what its worth, it's a brave thing you're doing. Dangerous-- But brave."

"Not quite so forgotten, huh?"

A quick gaze around to the surroundings, the various artifacts so carefully stored behind casings under the inoffensive light that wouldn't damage them under prolonged exposure. Oh the past. Beautiful. It was lost on a futurist like him, most of his focus lingering on the what was to be more than what was.

"As far as parties go, it's a little light. But it's a fun little gathering as it stands." A nice flute of champagne here and there, though he tried to limit himself to one that he would gently sip through the night. He was flying after all.

"Lately, I've been more on the side of enjoying something more extra curricular. Fairly well documented, behavior."

"Carter, please. Only my students call me Dr. Hall." It is an act played for the room's benefit than theirs, really. Not that he put all that much effort into maintaining his secret identity, but that didn't mean he should be completely careless about it, either. Just enough.

An amused smile tugs at the sides of his mouth as he watches the shorter man struggle with his stature. He was a ways off from being inside a giant mechanical armor with stilts. "Indeed, and unlike those big ones, we pride ourselves in giving back should any culture wish for the safe return of their artifacts. Of course, there are many that go unclaimed, so I like to think of Stonechat as a resting place for those lost and forgotten."

A smile, softer, as his voice drops. "It is my life's work, in many ways. Several, in fact. But I digress." His smile grows, wider, as he follows with a laugh of his own, giving the man a pat on the shoulder. "I hope you are enjoying the night."

"Ah! You must be--"

The guy who dressed up in fetish gear like a hawk late at night? Honestly if Antonio couldn't have put two and two together on that one to make four, he might have to question a couple of his degrees.

"Mr. Hall? Dr. Hall?"

Pretend to be perfect strangers, clearly it was for the other man's benefit if he was approaching like this. Overly familiar, touchy feely, that was the sort of outward stock he rallied in. Hand to shoulder, as far up as they were, damn. Forcefully stealing of the other's grip to do an exaggerated shake.

The far shorter of the two of them barks a bit of laughter, nodding his head for the crowd. "The pleasure, was all mine. Learning about your museum and your collections-- It felt a lot more moral than some of these other big ones robbing from historical sites and keeping them appropriated. Glad to meet the man behind the collection."

A suit was a costume like any other. Dress too clean, too sharp, and that, in itself, was a statement, and not one he particularly wanted to make. Carter Hall was simply an unnaturally built archeologist. No more, no less. And so, he dressed the part everyone expected him to-- The foppish academic, with a tweed jacket just slightly too loose and brown slacks that was the furthest thing from being fashionable.

"Mister Stark." There is a slight tinge of manufactured awe in his voice, as if this really was the first time he got to meet the man. How exciting, they will think, to have such a generous donation (financial and material) for the museum! "I just wanted to thank you for your aid in procuring these pieces for the collection."

"Yeah, and the sword & bow combo is purely a fashion statement, isn't it?" Jaw clenches as he bites down, pausing in consideration of her words before going for seconds with an even bigger bite. A roll up of his shoulder, brows raised underneath the helmet. "It's by my side and not flying towards yours. I'd take it as a sign of good will."
