     They stand there very quietly, letting Finn come into definition with the      way they see the world.  Everything has a distinct blur to it, but with a      little focus, his face becomes clear. Finally, cheerfully: 

        “Watch your step. Else you’re going to trip up.”

     She looks like she can kick his ass, which is really cool but a little bit scary.      “I’m just sayin’ -- ”

     When is Starbucks gonna get on that coffee delivery thing.    It seems the logical      step after drive throughs and doesn’t involve Owen holding a spoon.     He’s got      this, though. Soon. He’s almost entirely upright. Cigarettes and the half-promise      of coffee calling.

     “You want one - if there’s enough for two people?”

They might be more concerned with Owen’s fight against gravity if they were looking, but as it happens, they’re far too absorbed in something on their phone. Besides, he’s a grown man, not a turtle, he can get up by himself.

   “Hm?” Do they have coffee? Kennedy slips both feet to the floor, socks slipping on the hardwood. “ ‘m not sure if I have any, but if there’s some in the tin, be my guest.”
