i don’t think it’s a “fad” so much as it’s the normalization of non-binary identities in the rp community making it easier for writers to portray nb characters so trans identities are becoming more prevalent and present ??

& thats exactly how it SHOULD be. people should be comfortable with portraying something that is rarely spoken of and at the same time, it’s good to see a good representation of such a thing out there so people can learn MORE about it. it hurts me to see people treating it as if it’s just another thing --- to be in the “it” crowd, per se. i just see terms thrown out randomly nowadays and it hurts, to be honest.
