Mercenary work was mercenary work she knew this, but there was just no way he was doing this just for the money. She knew the type, working outside the system so they could help as much as possible without the struggles of dealing with the system itself. If she could wager a guess he’d work for peanuts if it meant protecting others. It just screamed boy scout to her and she was going to tease him about it.

    Of course, he had always had a bit of a bleeding heart though. Never one to turn down a call from anyone, the general himself included, when they needed help. That was just who he was- There was no changing that, he knew that for sure. Maybe there was a bit of truth underlying in the “boy scout” nickname but he wasn’t going to say anything about it. So, he sighed.

... So I’ve been playing Bayonetta and started Bayonetta 2 over this last week. it’s been a lot of fun actually! but I’ve also been playing more Smash Bros as well and Starlink- so expect to see Fox still hahaha

“The second reason is that my phone is dead. It died with no service out here; it is a husk at the moment so now, not only can I not file this soul away with my online documents, I have no way of taking aesthetic vines on the way back to relax! So now I’m in a completely stressed out mood and it is not catering to the professionalism I’m known for!”

They were also certain this hit might have been a certain gorgon’s doing framed as a horror cabin murder, but there wasn’t time for that now.

   Calculester’s face changed to his usual surprised emoticon expression as Milo spoke. Well, guess he hadn’t necessarily thought of some of those reasons. And he could tell it weighed on them just a little considering... He was a robot, however, so, of course, his processing of the situation was currently minimal at best. However, he was sympathizing as best he could.

   But he had an idea. Would it work? That depended on several things, but he was willing to try and pitch it to see what they thought about it.

   ‘ I do not know why you’d want to take vines with you on the way back, as those would be quite the load- ‘ Not the best way to start really, ‘ however, maybe I can help you in filing the soul? You may have to tell me what, where and how I am accessing the necessary files and documents, but I may be able to help you with it, if you want me to try so it is one less thing for you to worry about. I am an impulsive roleplayer.

I let my muse take the reins and decide what threads to start or reply to in a given day. If the muse doesn’t feel it, it isn’t happening. That doesn’t mean that I hate you or that I no longer want to interact with you; I probably either lost our thread or my muse just said, ‘nah bro.’

I’m sorry I drop threads. I’m sorry I don’t reply to memes. I’m sorry I ignore my asks. I’m sorry I plot things and then don’t do them. I’m an impulsive roleplayer: my muse guides me.

Roleplaying isn’t my job: it’s my hobby. I do it for fun. My muse isn’t my coworker: my muse is my friend. We have fun together. If I started treating this as a job, it wouldn’t be enjoyable for me anymore, and the quality of my content would diminish greatly!

And while we’re on the subject, just because a thread gets dropped does not mean the relationship between our muses is dead!! Thread =/= relationship! We can start something new and continue building their bond! Relationships are important to building new aspects of our muses!

I always want to roleplay with you. Just…perhaps not with that thread. You feel?

          this really was supposed to be an ordinary day  –  a quick trip to a local donut shop to get a treat for himself, go back to where he’s set up shop, and work on the more mundane tasks.  ( not that mixing tracks was mundane, not entirely  –  but his inspiration was struggling to stay upon the task at hand  –  he needed a breath of fresh air. or something to distract him. )

          but something the boyfriend, if even on a smaller level understood, was he could never really have an ordinary day. as much became obvious when what felt like metal bumps into him. stumbling back a few steps, he’s close to giving the absent - minded person what - for, but quickly goes silent as the visage of the other is clear to him. he blinks, then again, then once more. and his face lights up.

                   “  dude, they’re makin’ robots outta me now ?  ”   this was truly the most incorrect assumption to make, but it was the only thing that he could imagine in the moment.   “  this is cool as hell. uh –  names, names, right.  ”

          he gives a thumbs up.   “  i’m boyfriend !  the boyfriend !  orrrr just bf. like, bee eff.  ( once was called beef, which was weird. at least call me bee or somethin’, that one’s cute, but kinda in a romantic way i guess ? )  anyway, you some kinda fan project or something ?  that’s… kinda creepy, since robots are like… hella complicated. i think. still cool though !  ”

    🍀𝔹𝟘;; “THAT’S ANNOYING...” Rang a voice from B0′s phone, which he quickly shoved into his pocket with a now muffled “HEY!” escaping it. He made a noise to make it seem he was clearing his throat- Even though he already knew that the other was aware he was a robot. Wasn’t surprising, either way, he wasn’t prepared for this.

    ‘ Energetic, huh? ‘ He chuckled. It was... Strange, however, staring at someone who was basically him but with flesh as opposed to the metal casing his “heart” was resting in. As far as he knew, there wasn’t any “Boyfriend” in his home that was anything like him. Rather, he was the only one, as far as he could recall... That made him wonder a few things.

    One of them had to do with a certain brunette and the other model he was created along side. Was it possible this place had other versions of them too? He’ll have to ask later...

    ‘ I’m B01FRIEND, B 01 as they would call me back at the facility. ‘ He lowered his head as he introduced himself in kind. ‘ But, to those closest to me, I am called B0, like hairbow. It’s nice to meet you BF. Uhm... Forgive me, but I am not someone’s fan project, I am the only version of... I guess us? That is residing in my home. I am actually created specially to cater to the wishes of my partner, like so. ‘

    He closed his eyes, a whirring sound came through as his hair suddenly changed colours from green to the electric blue that BF had, and when his eyes opened they were around the same colour, if not just slightly off. Closing his eyes again, he returned to the green and blue that coloured his hair and eyes respectively ‘ Whatever my partner desires, I am meant to change my hair and eyes to match that. But I am currently wandering on my own... Mostly. ‘

Freddy was… still here? Moon was a bit taken aback when the other’s voice graced them, almost enough for them to drop the toys they were carrying due to the force in which they halted in their tracks. They had somewhat assumed that the other had left the moment Sun stepped out so they could switch without causing a worrisome scene. Moon had simply been cleaning up since then… thinking that they were alone.

“Freddy, I… I thought you had left.” Stars above, why didn’t their sensors pick them up? Unless they truly were too set on cleaning to notice… Moon didn’t know which was worse.

“I–I apologize. Umm… I… I don’t mind if you stick around, but I will only be cleaning up…”

While it did obviously come to mind, Moon didn’t even bother mentioning their nightly rounds of the building; they assumed Freddy wouldn’t be interested in cleaning in of itself, let alone anything else their duties subsumed. After all, why would anyone want to stick around for that? And… assuming that Freddy had initially been there to spend time with Sun.

    ⚡ℱ𝓇ℯ𝒹𝒹𝓎;; He said nothing for a moment, his ears moving slightly and adjusting their position. Moving slightly, his eye lids moved, making the bear look almost apologetic for spooking Moon, he hadn’t meant to do so. If anything, it was his fault for not paying attention, not theirs. So this was through no fault of their own. Simply, it was his.

    And he kind of owed it to them for that... So, without much of a second thought, at the mention of cleaning, Freddy tilted his head. Almost thinking for a moment before he moved just slightly forward, not by much, and simply looked around the daycare as it stood currently. Truthfully, he didn’t know the first thing about how this place operated, since he was sparsely ever really allowed in here... Mostly due to his own schedules. In a way, this was probably a change for him.

   ‘ I see... If you do not mind it, perhaps I could help you. ‘ He offered, ‘ you would just need to instruct me where things go and I am more than happy to. ‘

    He stood there for a moment longer in a pause. ‘ I really do not mind, if you do not mind, two sets of hands are probably better than one, after all. ‘

Curiosity struck Cereza at that moment. Sure, she was known to make a living off of quite unsavory work but as far as she knew mercenary work during times of war wasn’t any more glamorous a job than a supernatural gun for hire.

Sounded like it was right anyway. Absently, his head tilted to the side, only perking up slightly when he heard her speak again.

   Hold on... What did she call him? He looked down at himself for a moment before looking back up.

   ‘ B-Boy scout? ‘ That one threw him for a loop... ‘ I’m sorry to say, I’m a mercenary. But, if you want to know, I actually took over my late father’s team. Went to the Cornerian flight academy, graduated and- Well, here I am. Leader of Star Fox, hero of the Lylat System time and time again. Is it dirty work? Sure, but it’s worth it to have protected what I care about. ‘
