BTS Lights Lyrical Interpretation
Lights by BTS is a wonderful song. I won't go into the melody and the music of it, as I'm not an expert. For me the lyrics struck me the most. It is very beautifully written. They say the most fundamental thing in a poetic manner.
How I perceived the lyrics is that, it's a person who is lost or is upset. That person is basically directionless at that point of his life. He is helpless, but even in this state of helplessness he still feels optimistic. He feels that he has the strength to achieve something as there is a voice. The 'voice' in this song can refer to the inner voice, our inner optimistic self urging us to move forward despite the obstacles and hindrances, to not give up and push through. Now when the song goes into the chorus, the light which these seven boys are singing about, according to my interpretation is again, 'yourself'. The light which comes from within us ( I hope you understand what I'm trying to say). Another interpretation about the chorus, when they sing, 'I'm your light and you're my light', can be in reference to the relationship between their fandom ARMY and themselves. ARMY guides BTS through their lights (which can be considered as the ARMY bomb), these lights guide BTS and give them the strength, assurance and the ability to move forward. In a similar way when they sing, 'I'm your light', they are considered to be the representative of the youth, with this line they're telling their followers to trust them and yourself and they will guide you properly. Together they can walk and be strong.
Moving on, when Jhope enters, he sings about people who are 'damaged', meaning people who have endured a lot in their lives but are still striving, even if they are alone and nobody believes in them, they will keep on striving and achieve their own path and find a way. They will keep on working hard as they believe that this too shall pass and only change is constant. These conditions which they are facing will change, and every adversity that they face has a meaning behind it and should embrace it. It only makes them stronger and wiser. Every sleepless night has its own fruit which we gain. Every hardship has its own rewards.
Coming to the last part, which is my favourite is RM's rap. He talks about 'breaking down the walls and the light will seep in'. The walls that he talks about are our own insecurities and doubts about failure (again my interpretation), once we break these 'walls', we have infinite possibilities and can accomplish our goals. Once we break these walls, it possible to overcome everything as we no longer have the self doubt. We will only move forward, decide our own happiness on our own terms.
Lastly, they talk about it being okay to show our weaknesses and okay to be ourselves as if we don't acknowledge them, we won't be able to improve and get better. Being true to our own selves help us have individuality, identity and principles. In the end only this matters.
And that's it. That's my interpretation.

Live each day like it's your last. (My take on this quote)
*Live each day like it's your last.(My take on this quote)*
When I first came across this sentence I thought, "Hey, a good thought to live by", of course I was young and naive but now that I'm older I can't help but wonder how is that even possible. On the surface this sentence/ quote looks pretty good inspirational even, live each day like it's your last. At first I thought it was a perspective thing, if I read it optimistically it means that live each day to your fullest, seize the day my friend (along those lines). But as every coin has two sides there is a different perspective on this quote as well, a pessimistic one. Let's take an example, if a man comes across this quote and on an impulse decides to quit his job, sure he will be happy that day but what about the next day. What if it wasn't his last day, the next day also not being his last day ( bummer, right?). So that's an issue. Looking at it short term wise it's not a bad advice, but long term makes you wonder do we really need to live by it. 'Live each day like it's your last', I would like to straight up say it's a stupid quote. Even statistically it doesn't make sense. We can't live by those words because even if we do for few days it will be okay, but then we start regretting some of the decisions, like in that man's case quitting his job, lived that day to the fullest, but the reality crashes in his subconscious sooner or later. So, rather than living by that quote, I have come up with my own quote 'Live each day' that's it. Don't think about it being the last day, but live each day. There will be bad days, lousy days, pull your hair out frustrating days, but those will be your days and even though there will be bad days, lousy days, and pull your hair out frustrating days, those days if we really pay attention will have something good in them too. So rather than always focusing on the bad aspect we can learn to appreciate a little good that has happened that day and be a little optimistic for tomorrow. And if nothing good has happened, and your day was downright bad, well don't give up because giving up is easy and we don't want to give anybody that satisfaction, right?
Just live everyday because living is also beautiful.

Happiness
What do you mean by happiness? Happiness(noun): The state of being happy. Everybody has their thoughts about happiness. Happiness can mean different things to different people. A person in love is happy, a person who got a job, a person who got a promotion, a student with good marks they all get happy. But isn't it a state of mind. It is at that moment you are happy. So, I want to understand how can we be happy 24x7. If it is a state of mind then why can't our mind be in the state of happiness all the time. Why can't our mind be optimistic about every situation. What we if run out of things to be happy about. What then? How do we again start being happy. Materialistic needs, love, passion, achievement, all make us happy. If all these things make us happy, then when does a depressed person feel happy? What if none of the above makes that person happy. What should that person do then. What should that person do to achieve that state of happiness. And what if happiness is just an illusion. -A

The anthem of the heart / Kokoro ga sakebitagatterunda (Anime Movie)
So, I just finished watching this and to be honest I was bittersweet about the ending, actually to be honest I hated it. The moment Taku says he loves someone else i hated it. I guess who ever has read this would have guessed that i was shipping Taki and Jun, but then as the song played and it eventually did end, I started hating it less and less and less. The thing is I don’t know what love is what it means and all that shit, but i felt bad at the rejection and also because i was kind of hoping for them to unite. Now that i am typing and thinking about it i realized how one sided i was thinking. It was bigger than acceptance, it was about speaking out, about expressing yourself, about conveying feelings and emotions. Also, talking is a double edged sword. Sometimes we benefit and sometimes we don’t and the beauty of it. Our words unknown to us have the capacity to hurt people. Whether we say it in anger or in laughter words have consequences, good and bad. But we cannot stop speaking but can chose how to talk, how to articulate, how to convey, how to confess. It should also not mean that we should stop conveying for the fear of being rejected. Speak your heart out. Confess. Convey. Express in words. We are not mind readers. So in the end i would like to say that i loved the movie. It made me realize the power of words which come out of our mouth as well as its implications.
Thankyou for reading this and being patient while reading this. :)
