I thought you might be interested in my process for making magickal art! For the Justice piece that I’m collaborating with @mintfaery on, (she modeled and is collabing with the creative vision and fundraising campaign) she and I discussed a list of herbs to include. I brewed them, while focusing on my intention and the attributes of each herb that I wanted to activate. I strained them through a coffee filter, and this enchanted brew is the water that is used to paint the watercolor background of the art piece. This art will be available as t-shirts to raise money for @theokraproject I didn’t include okra in the wash because it wouldn’t react well with the watercolor, but okra will be featured as an element of the art. I found this beautiful shed snake skin woven in a chain link fence while walking my dog under the moonlight last night. Snakes are often associated with transformation because of the way they shed their old skin as they grow. They don’t enjoy the process, it’s itchy, uncomfortable, and they’re extra sensitive after they have left that husk they don’t need anymore behind. If you find a snake skin it can be used in magick for releasing what doesn’t serve you, to bring growth and changes. In case you missed it in my stories, I’m working on a new piece of art! I’m collaborating on this piece with the amazing YouTube content creator Mint Faery. @mintfaery she’s the model plus she and I are having t-shirts made over at Custom Ink and all the proceeds for shirts will be donated to @theokraproject . This is the sketch on illustration board, I’m adding masking fluid. Next I’ll paint the background with my magickal infusion and watercolor. When that dries, the mask will be peeled off and then I’ll start to render the rest in colored pencil. We had an awesome day celebrating my hubby Dan’s favorite things yesterday for his birthday! Dan, Tristan, Freya, and I swam in the river, had fried chicken for lunch, we all dried off and relaxed back at the house and binged the new episodes of Lucifer. I made him steak for dinner since I couldn’t take him out. Instead of a cake he had a box of glazed doughnuts. USPS is an important part of my family’s livelihood. My husband and I are online sellers and we rely on the good people of the United States Postal Service to deliver our customers packages affordably. If you enjoy my work, and want to see me continue to offer my products, I’m asking for your help. Many people rely on the post office to deliver medication, checks, Amazon deliveries especially now during the pandemic. Countless rural citizens can’t get delivery from commercial carriers leaving USPS as their only options. Recently, Hart Research and North Star Opinion Research conducted a survey that found that 94% of voters across party lines say that the services the USPS provided is important to them, 64% specify that these services are very important. Trump has made it clear that he wants to undermine the vital mail service of this country. I have a couple easy steps to take, bonus points if you do at least three of the four. . 1. Go buy a sheet of stamps, to show your support and sends a message to Congress. You can even buy them online, and they’ll deliver them right to your door, like they do. Please don’t stop here though, we need more action, see below. . 2. Contact your congressional representative. Your senator or congressperson might already support USPS, even if they do let them know you’re behind them, a quick email or phone call is great, BETTER YET put a letter in an envelope and mail it to them! It doesn’t even have to be eloquent, their offices only count how many responses they get. Use one of those stamps you just bought. Don’t know who your congressional member is, Google it, super easy! . 3. There are lots of petitions out there, please sign them. It’s so easy. . 4. Vote early if you’re using a mail in ballot. Since Trump has already eliminated overtime this will help the USPS by not overwhelming the systematic the last minute. .
