Latin Lover Podcast w/Cibernetico notes
Tumblr media
Podcast link: https://youtu.be/HUycYSvltgM
Recap of Latin Lover's podcast with Cibernetico. One of the very top stars in Mexico from 2003-2007 and most charismatic wrestlers people in wrestling.
Cibernetico and Latin Lover talked about all the jealous wrestlers and people they had to navigate. Being some of the few people that trained bodybuilding like them. They had a similar path.
Both started wrestling at around the same time. 1-2+/- years
Cibernetico grew up in Mexico City. A son of divorced parents.
He always wanted to be a wrestler. His father was a big fan and always take him to shows. His father was a huge Canek fan. At age 7 this began.
Cibernetico started training at 16-17. A student at Ham Lee's gym. He transfered to another gym under Ojo de Tigre. Who did not do a very good job training him. Mostly took his money and gaslit him into believing he was ready.
Ciber found out how ready he was once he started training at another gym and was immediately punked out by the trainer. He instantly grew fear for the trainer at this new gym.
One day he confronted his new trainer and asked be trained how to really wrestle from him. Ebano Ruiz.
Ciber says a wrestler should only need 18 months to be ready to work.
They both agree that ability is not the only quality you need to be a sucessful wrestler. Ciber saying if it was really like that, than many of the opening match workers would be in the main event, and many main eventers would be in the opener. "If it was fair".
"Fortunately! Wrestling is not fair!" Ciber laughs and screams
Ciber brings up he was able to get the fans on his side in CMLL. Which many thought would have been impossible. Saying that many go there and do not get any reaction or ignored.
He admits being nervous to work CMLL. Calls it big test for all wrestlers.
Ciber talks debuting in UWA working legends since his first match. They were tough 15 day tours. Working every day for 2 weeks at a time.
He was picked on by Shu el Guerrero. He recalls always getting beat up by him. He finally got fed up and confronted him after weeks of abuse. Ciber was ready to fight. Shu told him this was all a lesson in order to value the spot he was given. Villano V was also a big bully of his in the same way.
He had to earn his way in. Ciber reveals that he was paid $50 pesos a match in UWA and worked his way up to $200 pesos a match. It was taking a toll on him and his body. He lost size.
Ciber brings up wrestlers now being idiots on social media posting pictures without their masks. He thinks these idiots should stop clowning around and take it off if they don't respect it.
Ciber joined AAA in 1995. A year after his debut in UWA. Noting this would be the last chance he would give himself to do something in wrestling. He was fed up with the lifestyle and being broke all the time.
Ciber was working as a security guard for some bankers. A job his father had set up for him. It paid well enough. He was ready to leave wrestling over the lack of money.
Villano 3 called him up about a new promotion starting up named Promell. All the ex-UWA guys were heading over to there. The pay improved to $800 pesos from $50 per match. This brought him back into wrestling.
It lasted until the guys abandoned Promell to go their seperate ways. Ciber then joined AAA.
Latin Lover met Cibernetico in AAA. They hit it off for being some of the only wrestlers that would train like bodybuilders and aim for a good physique. They would train together and Ciber's mother would cook for them.
Latin Lover said they would go to restaurants together even when they were programmed against each other. Latin did not think it was a big deal. They would even split the bill.
These 2 were working a show in Laredo and had a show the next day 2 hours away. Latin Lover convinced Ciber to get a ride from girls who were part of his fanclub. The girls were driving them, but the car broke down and overheated.
Latin and Ciber went to a nearby river to retrieve some water for the car. It worked but, again broke down 5 miles later. Eventually they hitched a ride with from a truck driver. They got to the show as it was ending.
Latin and Ciber quickly changed in the truck. They put together a plan to start having their match outside and reel the people back into the building. Latin and Ciber threw their suitcases at each other and began to brawl. The fans that were leaving the show were circling around and would follow the match back into the arena.
These 2 had their match to end the show. Ciber jokes that he was paid double since singles matches are paid double in Mexico.
At a AAA show Latin Lover was heading to the back after a match and felt a very rough strong hand grab his ass. He was frozen from the groping. Latin looked behind him and asked "who did it?". To his surprise it was a dark tall, grown man wearing a vest and a hat. Think Cien Caras.
Tumblr media
This fan said it was him who groped Latin Lover. Latin asks the man again if it was really him. "It was me. So what?" and the tall dark stranger twirled his moustache.
Latin said the only response was to hit him and he did. He knocked the fan down to the ground and made his way to the back. As they were in the locker room the door was kicked in.
This fan kicked open the door and said he was looking for that fucking Latin Lover because he was going to kill him (pistol in hand).
Sangre Chicana, who was changing by the door quickly de-escalated the situation. Telling the fan that he would take care of it and fuck him up. This fan threatened the promoter and said he would be waiting outside.
Latin snuck out and did not wrestle at this town for another 6 months.
That next show, Cibernetico came up with a plan after being told the story from Blue Demon Jr and Humberto Garza.
Ciber went out and bought a vest, hat, moustache, and toy gun. Before the show, Cibernetico in costume, kicked in the locker room door. He yelled "where is that fucking Latin Lover? Now I'm really going to fuck him up!"
Ciber explains that Latin was tying his boots and froze up. He threw a sandal at Ciber. Latin was scared shitless and thought he was really going to die. So scared that in the match, he was dancing around the whole match on the apron. Trying not to stay still in order to avoid an eventual shooting that never occured.
Cibernetico who was very close friends with him, knew Parka wanted to retire soon.
Latin Lover brings up Hector Garza. Who was another good friend. Latin introduced supplements to Garza. Who then got bigger, after already being naturally big.
He had a match with Latin and Garza gave him a chairshot to the head that left him knocked out. It was by accident. But Latin describes symptoms of a concussion.
They were to have a match the next day. So Garza felt bad about the chairshot and before the match brings Latin Lover a chair. He tells him to return it to him during their match. "however or wherever he wants". He insisted after Latin did not want to.
Latin gave him a return chairshot, but the chair had slipped in his sweaty hands and cut Garza open. Hector needed 8-10 stiches afterwards. Antonio Pena in gorilla was reprimanding Latin because blood was not allowed on TV at the time.
Cibernetico brought up his mask match he won after waging his mask against La Parka's world title. The first time a mask was waged against a belt. Later that fueled their rivalry and eventual mask match. One of the biggest matches in AAA and modern Mexican wrestling history.
Ciber still maintains a fandom for wrestling. Attributes his success in wrestling to this burning passion that he never lost.
The subject changes to retirement talk and finding a new passion after wrestling. Ciber compliments Latin for doing things outside of wrestling. He believes when one retires, they should not want to wrestle any more.
Ideally that everyone retires and does not need to wrestle in order to eat.
Latin says nothing makes him feel the way wrestling does. A person that has been on primetime national tv, movies, morning shows.
Ciber explains that there are star wrestlers right now that are not really stars. They just work main events. Then there are "superstars", that are the real deal.
"It's like looking at the sky. The few that get to touch the top are the real stars." "…and those that do..it becomes more difficult to retire."
"There is nothing like hearing 20,000 fans screaming your name..there is nothing like that."
Ciber thinks that the real superstars get that star reaction from 40K fans. Those are the few real stars.
Latin talks about wrestlers not preparing for life after wrestling.
Ciber brings up Shocker. Being a bad example for others. He says when he saw Shocker at a show recently, he spoke with him. He recalls Shocker being a beast in CMLL early on.
Ciber: Hey do you want to die?
Shocker: I feel like I do.
Ciber: Then fucking die already. Die. Don't be causing pity. You are giving a disgraceful image. Just fucking die already. We will remember you at your best.
Shocker: Well, maybe not yet.
Ciber: Stop your bullshit and get it together then.
Latin Lover really compliments Shocker and his career. Even noting that he turned AAA upsidedown when he came back.
Ciber thinks Shocker can make a comeback. If he just puts in some effort, the fans will take him like he never left.
Latin Lover weighed a comeback too. But he thinks it's changed so much from what he did. Ciber calls him a pioneer for being one of the first stripper wrestlers that could also brawl. Says current talent should pay their respect.
Latin remembers wrestlers burying him for what he did in his career. He brings up Gronda.
Tumblr media
He tells the story about Gronda getting injured after his major knee injury. It was when Gronda caught a plancha from his cousin, El Oriental. Gronda could not base to save his life.
When Latin went to see him in the back, he saw someone trying to adjust Gronda's knee back in place. But he knew it was destroyed. He hopes to get him on the show in the future.
Ciber thinks he was addicted to putting on size. He was super impressed by his body. Gronda was still training hard and putting on size when he was out with a bad knee. Ciber calls that a major mistake. He should have slimmed down to help his mobility.
Latin Lover once shared a room with Gronda. Said that Gronda would mix a large protein and oats shake to have at bedside. Gronda would set an alarm to wake up every 3 hours to eat his shake.
They both talk about needing less mass as they get older. To maintain good health.
Latin Lover was so sick of working with Gronda. Because Gronda would stain his gear with all the red paint he would wear. He confronted Gronda about him paying to get new gear made after staining it after working a tour.
Gronda did pay up. He was a top draw at that time. After that, Latin changed from white to red gear.
Latin and Ciber talk about their dieting. How Ciber would get so extreme with it that he would go into the kitchen at the restraants they went to, to prepare his meals. He would teach them to cook unseasoned, boiled chicken and rice.
They both competed in a bodybuilding comp and Latin Lover won.
Ciber revealed that he suffered a collapsed lung in his match with Pagano. Calling it his toughest match and advises new wrestlers to not wrestle Pagano.
Latin Lover tells high flyers to calm down and to regulate their high spots.
Latin Lover then tells a story about doing a media tour with other famous actors and stopping to get gas. He says the people instantly recognized him and asked for pictures. They deemed the actors less approachable. Latin thinks wrestling allows them to be more relatable to all people. Breaking all social barriers.
Cibernetico says it has opened a lot of doors for him. He is able to speak and socialize with anyone. Including politicians and people from other social gambits.
Ciber criticized the older generations for being angry that the younger people have it easier than them. But that the new generations should be patient and try to learn for themselves too.
They both run down all the things they've done outside of wrestling.
Ciber acknowledges he did not know how to cook besides his diet food when he did Masterchef. He notes that housewives and people that know nothing about wrestling come up to him and compliment his time on the cooking show. They end up surprised that he's a wrestler.
Latin Lover brings up Ciber's exotic pets. Joking that he had a monkey (as a jab to Konnan).
Cibernetico said it's important for wrestlers to save their money. But he also was shamed into saying he threw away a lot from partying and women.
They both prelude to divorce costing wrestlers a lot. That it's tough to turn some people down.
They joke about burying Chessman. But will save if for off-air.

LATIN LOVER | LUCHANDO POR TUS SUEÑOS PODCAST W/ LA Park pt 1 notes
Tumblr media
LA Park who comes from a city 40 miles north of Monterrey Mx. with a population of 200k. There are other interviews that detail his origins than this one. So I will only highlight things not brought up before.
PODCAST LINK: https://youtu.be/LIcetBzv80c
LA Park - Mil Mascaras
Mil Mascaras would never think I'm more than an idiot. (Imitates Mil Mascaras) "Get over here motherfucker. Sit down right here."
He would always tease LA Park at every show they were working on.
One time Nicho (Psicosis) would ask LA Park if he thought that professional sports were really rigged?
Park: Of course they are. Anything that has money flowing around it has to be influenced by some sort of manipulating power.
Nicho: I don't believe it. After spotting Mil Mascaras in the locker room he blurted that Adolfo (Park) doesn't believe that sports are rigged.
Mil Mascaras: What the fuck! Don't be an idiot! How can there not be! In football, boxing, everything!"
Park: Fucking Nicho! Your the one that believes it's all real. You asked me!
Mil: Get the fuck over here and take a seat stupid boy. I'm going to teach you one more time. Are you really that stupid or what?
Park pleaded with Mil Mascaras while Nicho ran away.
Park bumped into Nicho later on in the show and asked him why he did that. Nicho said he did it because he knows Mil always schools him when he sees him and think's he is really that dumb.
LA Park started out very young. Training in his hometown gym under local wrestlers. He finally wanted to take his wrestling to the next level. After being exposed to stars from the Mexico City coming into his town to perform.
Tumblr media
LA Park worked under another name and lost the mask to Hijo del Santo in 1987
He latched on to Herodes, who would go the bar for drinks with other wrestlers. Park would keep his distance but, also spy on him as a fan and hang around to see what he could learn. Herodes would boast about his successes internationally that really caught Park's attention.
Hearing about Herodes being on a boat and wrestling in Africa is what opened Park's eyes to what was possible in wrestling. So he wanted to accomplish the same things.
One day he convinced Herodes that he could become someone important in wrestling and ask if he would take him under his wing. (not cited in this interview the exact retelling but found in others) Herodes would take Adolfo on and be a mentor to him while allowing him to stay at his Mexico City home.
Park would train but not have success when he first was living in Mexico city. It was a struggle just to get by as a young man all alone in the city.He would not make any notable impression for a while and this would be one of the motives why Herodes would have to kick him out of his appartment.
Lucky for LA Park, Jerry Estrada and La Fiera (legendary workers) would become his new mentors and trainers. Which he noted that Jerry and La Fiera were opposite personalities. Jerry would like to drink and party. La Fiera would be strict and straight laced.
Park brings up a side story about Antonio Pena creating his fame and opening doors for him into the entertainment industry. Being able to network with Televisa (biggest TV network in Mexico) celebrities.
Antonio scolded Park for getting too into that life and that if he didn't stop he would unmask him.
Jerry Estrada got Park into EMLL/CMLL
One meeting he had with CMLL promoter Paco Alonso.
Paco: I want you to start training for your match with El Modolo. It will be for the light heavyweight championship.
Park: I was fucked. I could not even make that weight. I was so poor. So Jerry would tell me to put coins in my boots. To gain enough weight. That's how I did it.
One day in preparing for the match vs El Modolo. Tapia was in the ring practicing dives from the top rope. Moonsaults and other things. An old man standing ringside called him over.
Old man: Come over here young man. (Park comes over) What the fuck is that shit that your doing?
Park: I'm just training.
Old man: You don't do those things. Wrestle on the mat. Stop jumping around like a grasshopper.
Park: Ok sir. As you say.
Old man: That better be the last time I see you do that in the ring. Because the next time I do, I will get i in there myself and kick your ass.
Park: Why hit me? I'm just training because they sent me to.
Old man: Who sent you? Paco?.. go get dressed and get out of here!
Park: But the boss ordered me to…
Old man: So if the boss orders you to shit your pants in the ring, you will do it?
Park: If I get a reaction, and the people like it, I will shit myself.
Old man: WHAT DID YOU SAY?!!(starts climbing into the ring)
Other wrestlers around the ring were egging on the old man.
La Park quickly got out and went to Paco's office.
Paco: Didn't I send you to go train?
Park: Yes but, there's an old man out there who told me to leave.
Paco: Alright. Let's go.
Park and Paco Alonso arrive to the training ring and Park points out the old man to Paco.
Paco: So, why did you tell my wrestler to get out and stop training? What is this about shitting their pants for the fans I heard about too? You have no authority here. I am giving you the chance to train here. This kid has to train to work on Sunday. If you don't like it. Leave.
Paco leaves after telling off the old man.
Old Man: Listen here boy. There is only one door to get out of here. I will be waiting for you when you get out.
Gran Cochisse was there and asked if Park knew who the old man was. Park did not have a clue at the time. He told him the old man was Blue Demon.
Park: Holy shit! The guy that fucked up those mummies. He's going to kill me.
Park was freaking out. He was still new and very young.
The other wrestlers training were telling Park that it was bad news. How Blue Demon was going to hold this grudge against him.
Park had arrived at 11AM but stayed until 7PM because he was so afraid of the confrontation. The cleaner had kicked out LA Park who had not eaten all day to avoid leaving the building.
When he finally stepped out through the exit he was looking around and scouting the parking lot. Park would get on his stomach to see if he could see Blue Demon's feet behind a car.
Park: I know I'm such a pussy. But we all are. We just don't show it.
Park did not have a confrontation that day.
Tumblr media
3 months later a promoter booked Park as a sub for a wrestler that could not make it. Blue Demon was on this show. The promoter wanted to introduce him to Park, but he was still afraid. Park said it was fine if they did not meet beforehand.
Blue Demon came around and introduced himself to everyone. When it came to meeting Park, he said he remembers seeing him somewhere. Park was praying that he didn't remember.
Blue Demon asked where he was from. Park replied. He remembered that a young wrestler he knew from before was from there. While trying to remember, Park insisted that he meant Jerry. Demon agreed it must have been Jerry.
LA Park noted that wrestlers were very jealous of Latin Lover's instant success.
It took Latin Lover to finally fight back to gain the respect of some wrestlers
LA Park had to work for 6 years to finall get his wrestler liscense in Mexico City. He brings up a Mexican influencer who was being promoted in Monterrey and AAA for a program with Chessman. The influencer was being told by the promoters that it was easy to get it and they had work lined up for him.
Park had met with him before his testing and smartened him up a little. Which scared him off from wrestling.

Vampiro Podcat w/guest Latin Lover Pt2 recap
Part 2 of my recap of this Latin Lover interview.
He calls Vampiro "Yan" for Ian.
Latin Lover recalls AAA pushing new 4 young stars to the forefront in hopes of cashing in on their popularity with the female audience at the time by pitting them against each other.
Hector Garza
Perro Aguayo
Heavy Metal
Latin Lover
Latin says during this time Vampiro was coming back into AAA as a regular again. But it was Heavy Metal who was not a fan of the idea and felt insecure about Vampiro coming in. Latin knew that they could do big business by adding Vamp to the program. He would convince Heavy Metal that it would be best to remain professional because, Vamp could easily take his spot in the program and the others would see it the same.
Latin, Perro, Garza would work frequently together and always make sure the crowd left happy. No matter if they got the result or not.
Latin does mention the show aspects of working. Revealing a general idea of how they do it.
Vampiro still has a burning passion for wrestling that he cannot get rid of it. But says many mental habits have formed from living that lifestyle. Like blocking out dates when personal life things come up.
Latin brings up how promoters would call him up when he talk about retirement. Then he goes into how he opened a gym to wrestle less.
Latin talks about how promoters would short change him when he was working injured and not as popular.
Vampiro fangirls for Latin while talking about his dancing with the stars win.
Vampiro breaks down and admits he thinks about death and not wanting to live this life anymore. But finds ways to keep himself motivated thru others.
Vampiro starts talking about Latin Lover coming in for a show and Jeff Jarrett causing problems at the time.
Vampiro tears into Jarrett for being the cause of him not achieving much in WCW. As he states, "the plan was for me to win the world title. Jarrett was the champion. He shot the plan down after saying that I was not over enough and it would hurt him to lose to Vampiro"
Vamp says Jeff Jarrett was the reason he didn't fullfil what was destined for him in WCW and he would never forget it.
Vamp remebers the segment with Jeff and Latin on the live show. It was not planned where they were going with it. But he recalls Jarrett was drunk or whatever and fuck up everything. They had a shmoz in the ring and Vampiro was so anxious to do anything about the situation.
Latin backed down after they settled down and everyone left the ring. He later talks about AAA coming to him for a spot. He gave them a number and didn't budge. Dorian caved in and paid him and his travel.
Latin Lover only came back to AAA to finally retire to have more family time. He only agreed to come in for AAA if Vampiro would be allowed back. Dorian who had blocked Vampiro finally accepted.
Vampiro wanted to work one year for his retirement tour. Latin injured his knee immediately and that set off a chain of events that included a bacterial infection that left him bed ridden for a months. A time where it was unsure if he would live. He has since regained his health.
Latin critiques new wrestlers for all looking and working the same. Unlike Vampiro, who was an original creation.
Vampiro recalls how the workers back in the 90s were ahead of their time. He brings up other wrestlers trying to dance like them, but Latin jokes about beating them up for stealing his gimmick.
Looking at old pictures, they mention being so skinny for working 8 times a week.
They talk about JBL becoming a Vampiro copy that Carlos Elizondo tried to recreate the magic that Vampiro had.
Vampiro and Latin Lover talk about their issues with Konnan. Latin says that Konnan is the one person that most wanted to kill his career, it was Konnan.
He would always go on to talk major shit and cut him down whenever he could.
Hijo del Santo would go on to defend Konnan, who berated Latin for gorrila pressing someone. He said if he had a problem with Latin Lover doing that move, he should go talk to Canek. (known for press slamming as a feat of strength) (famously slammed Andre the Giant)
Tumblr media
Konnan got hot at Hijo del Santo, who refused to back down to Konnan. They were about to fight when Eddy Guerrero and Blue Panther broke it up. Jerry Estrada got in Latin's ear for not defending himself. He would beat his ass if he didn't stand up for himself.
One night in Saltillo MX. Konnan would again go on to bully Latin Lover and spit in his face. As well as give him an unprotected chairshot to the head during their match. Once they got behind the curtain, Konnan shoved Latin to the ground. Jerry Estrada was right there and let Latin know he had to go through with it.
Latin Lover says "we enclosed ourselves in a room and went to blows.""I was crying in a fit of rage"
Konnan was yelling at him to hold back and stop fighting. He would go on to explain that he was paranoid about Latin Lover becoming a copy of him. People broke up that fight before anything major happened.
Promoters weeks later would not book Latin if Konnan was on the show and explain why to Latin.
Hector Garza called him months after all the luchadores left for WCW. He tricked him into speaking with Konnan. Who would offer Latin a chance to land a great deal with WCW.
At this time Latin Lover was more or less gaining status in AAA and on his way to taking the spot Konnan had as Antonio Pena's underling. Antonio was upfront with Latin and promised him to give him the push Konnan got if he stayed. Latin would agree if he made what he wanted.
They struck a deal.
Years later Konnan was coming back to AAA Latin was well established in AAA at this point. (around 01-03?)
He had spoken with Antonio Pena about the rumor of Konnan returning. He promised Latin that Konnan would only return over his cold dead body. And one day weeks later they spot an SUV enter the venue they were working and knew it was Konnan.
So Latin Lover spoke with Antonio Pena after it was official. His reasoning was that it was best for business and nothing personal.
Latin Lover was having a dispute at the time with AAA over rights to his character. Octagon was having the same problems with AAA at the time. Latin spoke with Konnan not to get involved or mention him on interviews.
Latin refused to work with AAA some time later after the Octagon settlement came out.
AAA held a press conference addressing that and publicly dressed down Latin Lover for no showing an event. Burying him as a draw and talent for his age. Konnan was a speaker at this press conference.
Latin Lover ran into Konnan years later (recently) He called him a son of a bitch and idiot for taking all those drugs.
Latin worked with AAA recently and had to communicate with Konnan. It was here where he laid the ground rules for their professional relationship. Where they had agreed to ignore each other when they would be in the other's presence.
Latin went on to explain how Konnan was a bitch and a pain to deal with. Always messing with them and their stuff. Putting food and human fecal matter in his boots.
Vampiro brings up the Psicosis slap video which Latin felt sad to see it. Vampiro is overjoyed giving a play-by-play of the video.
youtube
Psicosis told Vampiro that he was going to beat Konnan's ass weeks earlier. Vampiro said that he knows that he went in there with gunmen watching his back in case there were people from AAA trying to intervene. He sent Vamp the video after he had done it.
Adolfo (LA Park) also called to convince Latin to listen to Konnan and do business. That Konnan was a changed man. - Weeks later Adolfo called back to say, "this motherfucker will never change, you were right."
Vampiro says Konnan was in charge of the Mexicans in WCW and would even be in charge of delivering their pay. "if he didn't like you, he would withold your check".
Latin Lover knew he had to leave when he left AAA in the mid 2000's because everyone was copying what he does.
Latin Lover would tell other talent to start doing different things to stand out. Like buy a pet to bring with you everywhere. Like a monkey. That way people would want pictures of you with your monkey.
He heavily criticizes the way everyone copied each other's gimmicks. He took it upon himself to control things like that while he was in AAA towards the end.
But he would care less and less with his entertainment career taking off.
Tumblr media
Latin Lover is still working in entertainment and TV. Currently as host/judge on a daytime variety show on a big national TV network. The show is called "Hoy" (today)
Vampiro says he has invitations to work in Italia and Japan from wrestling companies. He says at any moment he could die if he gets hit in the head and neck.

Vampiro Podcast w/guest Latin Lover notes PT.1
Tumblr media
A recap of the Vampiro Podcast. Only because this was a wrestling episode with guest Latin Lover. A star in the northern Mexico Monterrey territory before blowing up as a national star in AAA. He was highly criticized as being a stripper while wrestling and getting his advantages solely based on his look.
He runs down his career in a brief manner with host Vampiro. As the two bring up stories from the past leading up to the current.
Watch the podcast on youtube https://youtu.be/yIFfsCroocQ
subscribe to Vampiro Podcast - YouTube
Vampiro got burned out on wrestling after working as a producer than talent in AAA. To now semi-retiring due to head injuries. He is now residing in Northern Mexico city, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
Vampiro started doing radio recently and made connections with a producer in Monterrey before moving there permanently. His daughter lives in Mexico City.
Latin Lover debuts in 1992. His first time in Mexico City, EMLL he was brought in thru Monterrey (MTY) promoter Carlos Elizondo.
Vampiro was Latin Lover's "godfather" or person that initiates a new talent, but also becomes responsible for them in their first moments in a new place.
Latin Lover was gifted some tickets to a show while working in a gym. He was impressed by the connection with the fans and the wrestlers formed. The energy created.
Latin got the idea that he could make money in this. He spoke with the promoter who proposed he start wrestling.
Latin was open to the idea and wanted to give it a shot. The promoter, Elizondo, had it all planned out. He would assign an instructor to teach Latin how to wrestle.
Latin worked as a trainer at a gym and ran a hamburger place on the weekends. He also would dance at the clubs as a stripper for extra money. The stripping was involved into his wrestling gimmick.
One day a movie producer did a casting call at the gym where he was training at. Latin was chosen for the role. He would be the double of the lead for all his stunts.
Latin would choreograph a match for the movie role with a fellow wrestler, Rick Patterson. They would practice this match for two months.
They finally did the match at a real show. It went over real well. Sangre Chicana complimented them for their match. Who would go on to unmask Latin a year later.
Latin was told he had good heat with the fans by him in front of his local promoter. This promoter would then go on to book him in the semi main event with stars that were brought in from Arena Mexico.
Latin was skipping a lot of steps and these other workers were put off by that. So the day of the show comes and Latin is anxious about what to do for the match.
He would go on to ask his opponents what they were doing for the match. They told him to go away and come back later. Latin kept bugging them. Trying to get an answer until they told him they were going to work. "Keep your ears open"
Latin says they took advantage of him being a new guy. They bruised him up. They told him to do a dive, but would not catch him.
People kept beating up and taking advantage of Latin Lover for 3 months until he got fed up with it and was going to quit wrestling. So he told Carlos Elizondo he was going to stop doing this and thanks for everything.
He said his goodbye to Elizondo at his office. Latin left, but was intercepted at the parking lot by one of the trainers that convinced him that they were investing a lot in him and he was leaving a great opportunity.
So Latin changed his mind. Went on to keep wrestling and fight anyone that would try to take advantage of him.
As one of Elizondo's employees, Latin would also drive the talent to the show from the airports or bus stations.
In 1992, a main eventer would earn 8,000 pesos. Vampiro at this time would earn 12,000 pesos. Vampiro would take a peak at the attendance if it was a packed show and shake down the promoter for double his pay on those occasions.
Latin Lover was earning 5000 pesos a week during this time to work any shows during the week and other work that Carlos needed done.
Vampiro convinced him during a show they were booked on to ask Carlos for more money. Double what he was making and if he didn't agree, he would take him to Arena Mexico and get him in there.
But he, "wouldn't be allowed to do his little stripper gimmick."
Latin went on to ask for double his pay. Elizondo was surprised by how much he wanted and immediately shot his offer down. They agreed to stop working together.
Latin was furious on the drive home. Out of a job and blaming Vampiro for all of this.
His wife at home met Latin with the news after getting a call from the office that Carlos finally agreed to pay him what he wanted.
They change the topic Latin Lover would see other wrestlers do drugs, drink, buy women, not take care of themselves. He knew that this would not last forever. So he began to save up his money and start planning to open other businesses.
He knows that wrestlers are on their own and it's a business.
Vampiro says LA Park is the best wrestler ever. But as a businessman it's Latin Lover.
Latin has been involved with the entertainment industry ever since retiring from wrestling. He won a dancing with the stars type TV show. Became a TV host. Occasionally still works in TV as a host.
Latin Lover goes back to talk his career.
Moving on to work Arena Mexico (EMLL) CMLL now. How it was a big difference in quality of wrestling. The matches were more physically demanding and rougher. It was very tough for him. He had to go thru the same bullying and hazing that he endured in Monterrey.
It was during this time when Antonio Pena was working as a booker/creative.
He was now getting ready to move out and do his own thing by founding AAA. (They speak about it as if it was not a secret and people within CMLL already knew this move was coming)
So one day, Latin Lover was going home and was approached by Konnan and Antonio. They took him out to lunch and tried to convince him to join what would be AAA.
Latin spoke with them but was unsure about what to do since he was still loyal to EMLL at the time. He knew that the best workers were in CMLL. He would learn the most there and develop the quickest if he stayed.
2 weeks later when he would get paid. A trip to Paco Alonso's (CMLL owner) office to recieve his pay. Paco asked him if there was anything he wanted to tell him.
Latin said no.
Paco said he heard from someone that they saw him eating with Paco and Konnan somewhere. So how much are they offering you?
"3000 pesos" a match.
Paco told him straight up that he should think about leaving because they are going to be more about creating a spectacle. That in arena Mexico, it's more serious and to the point. The conversation ends with Paco suggesting he make up his mind and let him know in advance. Because he doesn't want to find out his decision from a wrestling magazine or newspaper.
Latin thought it over and spoke with Antonio Pena again before deciding to leave. He had told Paco he was leaving and they split amicably.
Vampiro brought up his dancing tv show wins. Where Latin Lover won his season and a few other dancing spinoffs from that show.
It opened up an avenue for Latin to begin doing TV show hosting for several variety and game shows. The producers of these shows were impressed that wrestling fans would tune in if Latin Lover was apart of a segment or show.
Latin knew wrestling is super popular and only second to Futbol. He knew that he should get into something outside of wrestling. Like acting or entertainment. He thought wrestling and other wrestlers would be proud and motivate other wrestlers to go this route.
Instead wrestlers would say that Latin abandoned wrestling because he couldn't cut it as a wrestler.
Latin Lover recalls his first TV host gig for a weekend variety featuring a very famous actress/model. He didn't know what to say or how to act on TV. He had his doubts until he heard they would pay him 30,000 pesos an episode.
It took him 6 months of struggling on TV for the network to send him some coaches to improve. During this time he would take on a booking. It would be his first since appearing on national tv for non-wrestling.
He met a bunch of ex-AAA stars there at the airport in Mexicali. He was catching up with them and they had to drive to the hotel. The problem was that Latin was staying at a more luxurious hotel than the wrestlers on the show. They got jealous of his star treatment and took it out on Latin in their match.
It became a brawl. But Latin fought back.
There is another instance they talk about where Vampiro was the star in this situation. The promoter was taking Vampiro across the border to eat at his favorite restaurant. But Vampiro demanded they take Latin Lover with them and stay at his hotel. Vampiro always looked out for Latin.
Latin Lover brings up one of the EMLL talents that didn't want him to succeed in the beginning as a favor to the promoter. His own team-mate turned to him and said" I'm not going to stay in your shadow tonight. I'm not going to stand still, just for you to look good."
Latin was puzzled, but understood that was how people behaved. Months later he overheard this same talent complain to Elizondo about paying Vampiro double his rate, when he was the better worker. This EMLL talent was Atlantis.
Elizondo didn't care how they wrestled but, if they could draw people like Vampiro did. He would have no problem paying them double too.
Vampiro thinks he was on good terms with Atlantis. He talks about also being hazed in CMLL when he started. He took such severe beatings, but there came a point where he wanted revenge and he would have some wrestlers back him up. Like Haku, Bestia Salvaje, Emilio Charles, Brazo de Plata Super Porky, and Canek.
Vampiro would be booked with Super Porky often to be protected by him. Porky would sometimes go to blows over Vampiro in the locker room. Brazo de Plata used to be a debt collector for a local mafia.
Vamp also brings up a moment where Fuerza Guerrera (Juvi's father) would question the promoter in front of all the talent about paying Vampiro double what they were making. The promoter would go on to say "the day you bring in all these people, I will gladly pay you double. So until that day. Shut your fucking mouth."
Jaque Mate, Masacre, Pierroth were big time bullies for Latin Lover in Monterrey. They had taken advantage of Latin in their match. Tombstoning him after throwing a birthday cake on him. The next day they were traveling together and Latin was sleeping in the van. These other guys would throw out Latin's gifts from the fans the promoter was keeping in the back from the window as they were driving.
Jaque Mate told him that they only were working with him because the promoter asked them to. They hated him and let him know it.
Jaque Mate would end up out of work and blamed Latin Lover for it. He would find work in AAA in the later stage of his career. As a older hand that could help guide new talent. As a tradition, when a wrestler debuts, they go thru a "baptism". Which can be described as a hazing ritual. Either spanking or getting chopped by the entire locker room or one person. The new person has to choose a god-parent for this.
Jaque Mate chose Latin Lover.
Latin Lover did not hold back and chopped Jaque Mate until he bled. Even Konnan was taken back by it.
That was part 1 of my recap for this 2 hour interview.

Villano IV interview with Planchitas Diario Pasala
Villano IV interview with Planchitas for Diaro Pasalo  (news outlet)
Tumblr media
Interview video link https://youtu.be/l6crfgYA-Yg
Began training at Shu El Guerrero Gym at 8 years old by taking olympic wrestling classes that were taught by his brother Villano I at the time
He pretty much grew up at the gyms where his father (Ray Mendoza) would train
The feeling that he had to try wrestling grew in him as he was training at the gym. He would begin to look for ways to wrestle without his family knowing
Villano IV, now 15, who had only been training olympic wrestling, was invited to speak with the promoter of Arena RAF
“Would you like to wrestle?”
“How”
“You wrestle in the ring”
“No, no way, I don’t even know how. I have only been training olympic wrestling”
“That’s all you need! What more is there to know?”
“No. No. How am I going to get in there? I’m not ready.”
“Pfft. You already are a trained olympic wrestler. Come on. Try it.”
“I get left with that spline in my head and finally agree to do it. The day of my birthday was when I debuted.
Planchitas: What name did you use?
VIV: The name was Loden Lei (SP??) with an L… It was against a boy named “El Ovni” from Tabasco.
(shows photo) he was a student of his brother.   Debut - April 9, 1980
Tumblr media
PL: Why the name?
VIV: I was watching a movie and it was one of those junk movies nobody pays attention to. I saw it at night when I came downstairs and I couldn’t fall asleep. It was about a guy that was like a vampire-human that would go in the water and turn into a shark. He would eat people in the water and when he was done, would come back to the surface and turn into a human again. I liked the name so I went with it.
It was a difficult debut for me since there was a lot I didn’t know. The wrestlers should have a proper training period and now many do not want to fight for it or suffer….
I thought that with what I learned about olympic style was enough, but no. The first match I got in there  and the conditioning was the most challenging phase you go through at first. Within 3-4 minutes my mouth was dry. I wanted to drink some water. My legs were shaking. My body wasn’t responding.
“the wrestling is not that easy”
Maybe it was bad what I did, but it was what I needed to go through. It taught me that bad things can be some of the best things to happen to you. (almost cries)
Villano got in the ring to wrestle El Enfermero. Who scolded him for getting in the ring to wrestle and shamed him for demeaning the family name.
VIV: It worked. I took off my gear . Showered. Passed by Carlos Maynez (arena neza).
Carlos: Hey, did you get paid already?
VIV: No. It’s ok. Just leave it.
Carlos: No. No. You did the work. Good or bad? But you did it. So now you will get paid.
Villano goes on to collect his pay and ends up bumping into El Enfermero who only told him “I’m there  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7-10” and left.
Villano then tells another story similar to this one.
VIV had secured 3 dates from this other promoter. After working there the promoter sent his son to the back to cancel the dates they agreed upon because he was so bad.
VIV finally revealed to his brother that he was wrestling now. Who shamed him and told him to go traing with him. Since then VIV trained every morning with him, then trained at Arena Neza during the day.
VIV changed his name to Uron because he was getting bullied about his other name sounding like a famous booby actress name.
He kept secretly taking dates to see how he was progressing as a worker.
Leopardo Negro watched his match and complimented him. Invited him to be his tag partner. He had his costume ready for him and everything. It went really well for them as a team.
Leopardo continued to invite him to work as his partner until he finally proposed to make him Leopardo Negro II. VIV agreed.
Tumblr media
VIV called up the arena looking for dates. He explained how he was now Leopardo Negro II. They were not that impressed but still gave him a trial. Other arenas were and gave him more dates.
A year and a half of working as part of this team. They finally got dates farther away from the city. But once it was too far for Leopardo Negro to take time off from his Volkswagen job. So he found a local wrestler to work as Leopardo I.
One time he got a date with his brother Villano V working Black Shadow, Fishman, Black Man. Legendary opponents at Arena Lopez Mateos.  He got into a fight with Leopardo as the finish. The next week they had a brawl to set up the mask match. Winner would get the mask and name.
VIV won the mask y name match against Leopardo  (82-83)
His father was ok with him wrestling but disappointed. He thought he needed a better physique. Thought he was a skinny kid that would get hurt easily.
VIV considers himself as a dreamer type. Brings up how wrestling was frowned upon during his childhood by society. He learned from his family to protect the wrestling and respect. Witnessed how his brother would teach pseudo tough guys a lesson at the gym.
VIV thinks he can change people’s perception of wrestling with his performance.
PL asks about time with/out father around
VIV brings up not having him around due to him being a star for EMLL. Not getting to see much of him around. Sometimes he would tour for months without being home. He had a lot more time as an independent to be with his family.
Mention of Rene Guajardo doing a move with his father Ray Mendoza that left half his body paralyzed. It severely depressed Ray. VIV almost cries remembering that time. He misses him a lot. He misses feeling the tough of his hands. His advice. Also his mother.
He was impressed by how he could keep going no matter how beat up and hurt he was. How his father trained with such tenacity.
VIV tells story about his father working El Solitario
He thinks El Solitario had the best tope of the time because of how hard they hit and how far he could reach.
“Father took a tope and I heard how the seat they fell into broke. I heard his shriek. I was up in the rafters watching. All the fans got up and I couldn’t see...father had red all over his arm. The fluid from his elbow had all leaked out..”
It was very emotional for him to witness what his father had to do to feed his family.
VIV back talked his mother about his father not being around one night and she slapped him. Told him that he has no idea how he is getting on at the moment, but he is at home, warm, fed, bathed.
Now he is very proud of his family and what they accomplished.
He learned to not fear anything or anyone.
Overall very thankful for his upbringing and suffering along the way. Parents taught him not to get in other’s business and wish good on others. To have faith.
He puts his success on preparation and discipline as someone that has accomplished every dream they had for themselves.
Tumblr media
VIV transitioned into the Villano name when he picked up the slack for Villano II who was working on becoming a doctor and he was also working with a tough injury. He dropped out of school to become a full time wrestler at this point.
VIV was now working top level names regularly early into his career. He had to quickly rise to the occasion and committed more to training. Working as a Villano took his career to the next level. He went on to collect several masks. Have great matches and collect championships as time went on.
Says it’s one thing gain the respect of fans and family and another to gain it from the other wrestlers. “Like the great Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, another..a German (Alex Wright?)”
Shinjiro Ohtani story
VIV recalls taking a spinning kick off the ropes. He split his lip from the kick. When he got to the back, Eddie Guerrero was yelling “VIVA MEXICO CABRONES” celebrating the match. He complimented them on the match. Dean Malenko was walking behind him fro the next match. Dean complimented him too. Eddie was shocked. He couldn’t believe Dean just said “very nice match”.
Eddie was beside himself because in the 8 years he had known Dean, he has never complimented anyone before. He hugged him after explaining.
VIV very proud to gain that respect. Thinks his japan matches are what gained him international notoriety.
He thanks Konnan for getting him the opportunity but, believes the references from Eddie, Dean, Chris are what secured him the job in WCW.
VIV feels that retirement is coming up on him. He would be perfectly fine with ending it today. He gave his best and feels he did everything he wanted to do.
But now with the mask match coming up, he wants to leave with Pentagon’s mask
VIV begins crying when thinking that nobody believes he is going to win the mask match on Triplemania. He loves being at the gym and feels safe there.
Tumblr media
VIV wants the people to uphold the values that he stood for when he leaves. To respect the wrestling more. “knowing others will undo what I have built”
In high school, he was given an assignment to make a clay design project. He created his first mask for that school project. This was before he was wrestling.
He recycled the first masks had made by adding some small motifs so he didn’t have to get new ones made.
Tumblr media
Another name he worked under was Moloc. Part of trio. He filled in for an absent worker for a while to gain more experience and help people out.
VIV only wanted to please his parents. But he was going through a rebelious phase as Leopardo Negro II and one time it caused a fight between his parents after his father was disciplining him. Things escalated to where his brother Villano III stepped in to defend him. His father then smacked Villano 3. VIV pleaded with him to stop and felt incredibly guilty. (Villano 3 was on his way to being one of the best already at this point) This fight caused him to dedicate more of himself to his wrestling and made it his goal.
PT2 interview link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6C-En3nw4E
VIV flashes more old pictures of times thoughout his career and talks about them.
Chamaco Orduna was assassinated but VIV notes him as a very gifted and charismatic wrestler that would have had an important career if he wasn’t killed so young.
VIV shows picture of him in hospital bed talking about his neck break injury. Shows image of his surgery incision. Recalls being out for a year and a half. The break could have killed him or paralyzed him if he didn’t have such a worked built up neck. He thanks family for making him do all those bridges.
Tumblr media
He arrived at the hospital and the doctor did not let him leave the hospital after they first saw him because of his condition. He had driven his way there himself. They were not going to let him fly home because of the altitude might hurt him.
He proudly shows off a magazine nothing the mask match vs Los Brazos as MOTY
Tumblr media
Message to Pentagon Jr.
You are going to go in to win. So will I. You don’t think about losing. Neither do I. I wish you success. The best man will win. I feel fortunate that a comment I made helped you and helped you to become what you are now. One of the biggest out there now. You only got there with the same struggle I went through. I know it’s going to tough and you will defend your mask with everything. Good luck
VIV calls the fans the key to his motor. He feels supported and a great responsibility to win his mask match. He takes all the fan messages to heart. He hopes that he can repay the support and thanks the fans and his family for letting him keep doing what he does.

2021 wrestler of the year
This year other things took precedence over following wrestling in real time as anyone would do when they follow a sport for me. I still managed to find the time for it because it is something I still thoroughly enjoy. This list compiles the top performers of the year 2021 in all the wrestling I have seen. Now I may not have watched every show of every promotion, but I believe enough of the top tier stuff to make a valid judgement.
The thing to take into account here is not everyone receives the same opportunity to show what they can do. Companies are not hot all the time. Everyone runs on cycles to maximize their profits. Every place has ups and downs. So I intend to spotlight the very best in peak performance over the most consistent in these rankings. Consistency gets you on the list but peak performance gets you to the top spots. The best combine both.
These are the top 35 of 2021
1. Villano 3 Jr. (AAA/FREE) 2. Ilja Dragunov (NXTUK) 3. Hijo Del Vikingo (AAA) 4. Syuri (STARDOM) 5. Yuji Okabayashi (BJW/FREE) 6. Suzu Suzuki (ICE RIBBON/FREE) 7. Utami Hayashishita (STARDOM) 8. Arez (AAA) 9. Mio Momono (MARVELOUS) 10. Mr. Condor (FREE) 11. Takuya Nomura  (BJW/FREE) 12. Kaito Kiyomiya (NOAH) 13. Aramis (FREE) 14. Tam Nakano (STARDOM) 15. Latigo (AAA/FREE) 16. Demonio Bros : Would Demus want a CMLL return?
A quick conversation between brothers, Demus and Akuma about leaving CMLL and how it got to that point
video: https://youtu.be/Z_jKnxnCHyk
Demus got an oppurtunity in CMLL thanks to La Nazi (La Commandante) who told him to train with Tony Salazar to get in
Tumblr media
Many 00-10s undercard guys were already training under him
Demus worked 6 dark matches for free so he could get a look
Demus was offered a spot in the Perros Del Mal promotion once they left
Demus turned the offer down and says he was the one person that stayed from the group
Thought he put too much work to get there to leave like that
Damian 666 let him use the mini gimmick out of the good of his heart
Demus filed the name but did not think it was right to keep using it so he came up with new names for with Paco Alonso
Akuma was one of the names he came up with and later his younger brother would get that name
Paco told Demus to add the 3:16 to the name
He worked with all the wrestlers from prelim to main eventers but was kept away from the upper card talent in the main arena
This glass ceiling weighed on him and motivated him to jump up from the minis but went on to lose that right against Virus, and had to be lowered to the minis division
Demus thought he was way better than the other cmll minis
As he worked more independents he felt like he was held back from being more important than he was by cmll booking
Fans have also highly regarded Demus as a top worker and independent star
Demus felt a rejuvenation to his career once leaving CMLL
He says in AAA, he felt comfortable since many ex-cmll people were in the company, describing the feeling as same people in a different home
He is open to working AAA and returning to CMLL
Konnan called Demus while he Demus was working at Arena San Juan to go work for The Crash and promised him more work if he did join him
Demus recalls seeing his name on the schedule for CMLL and working the same guys every week and that unmotivated him
The matches with Wotan are what brought new life to his passion
Demus quickly goes through an anecdote of returning to CMLL and being questioned about the match he had at The Crash, which sounds like it was not authorized and he had to take a 15 day suspension for it
Konnan called him that Friday while serving the suspension and Demus agreed to take the booking since it would mean money coming in
Akuma accompanied Demus and was impressed by how they ran a show
Demus said he was a bit star struck when he got to meet Rey Mysterio and Alberto El Patron. He also got to talk openly with everyone involved, which is something that doesn't happen in CMLL because of certain rules
Demus went back to CMLL offices on Wednesday for a meeting where they scolded him and Demus made his mind up on the spot and decided to leave CMLL right there, during that meeting
He wants the rematch with Virus
Demus has gone back to watch a show at the arena since and insists no harsh feelings between them exist

Blue Demon Jr facing spousal abuse claims by wife Monica Carrillo (NOTES)
Chisme No Like TV interview with Blue Demon Jr. wife Monica Carrillo
Tumblr media
video: https://youtu.be/GxLUQuasSkM
Monica Carrillo claims abusive behavior began 3 years ago but Monica noticed character traits she did not like about him while in their 20 year relationship
Allegedly threatened to kill and on one occasion a phone call stating he would "shoot her in the head himself" and kill her family. The harassing phone calls persisted to the lengths of calling her at home, work, and mother's home
Monica makes claims that people are following her with cameras and that Blue would threaten her if she were to get his “blue demon character” dirty.
2 Years ago they separated when Blue Demon Jr. threatened to kill her. He left their home, but are still legally married
Blue Demon Jr. said on a recent interview that aired February 27 2021 on Imagen TV with gossip journalist, Gustavo Infante, that he has a wife and is married -"my son is the oldest" he is currently doing photography -No mention of his daughters
Monica also accuses Blue Demon Jr. of presenting other women online as his new wife and/or lover
He is also accused of threatening his children, mentioned in the interview by the mother as "her daughters"
2 daughters, currently aged 22 and 20 (ages could be +1 without having birthdates), not mentioned his son in these accusations, who was involved in the mask/hair match vs Dr Wagner Jr.
She comments that Blue Demon Jr. has abandoned families everywhere as a result of extramarital affairs and has expressed the same abusive behavior with these women. She has had contact with some of them that have kept quiet due to the threats made by Blue Demon Jr.
Monica claims to hold evidence such as phone calls, photographs, text messages in her possession.
Blue Demon Jr. has been trying to re-establish a relationship in the 2 years he has left the home.
Monica also wanted to fix their marriage but decided to move on once the death threats were made. She said to have already put up with his abuse before but not at this level for the sake of the children.
“He dedicates himself to destroying lives behind that mask”
“he has threatened my mother and siblings”

El Bulto Entrevista: Dark Cuervo (notes)
Tumblr media
Cuervo found his time at ALL Japan elevated his career and was the point where he finally found success in Mexico
Rene Dupree, D’lo Brown, Viscera, Omega, others were the foreigners present when he and Dark Ozz worked AJPW
“Kenny Omega, he's a little special (thinks highly of himself/snobby) and even more now.
He pretty much formed his career entirely in Japan. His moves and how he interacts with the crowd is totally Japanese.
We never really hung out. He was already acclimated to Japan, so he was out spending time with his girlfriends. So not a lot of time with us.
We only would see him backstage or at meal with everyone.
When we won the belts we had to pass thru the dressing rooms of the foreigners and Japanese.
After we won we walked thru there and all the Japanese wrestlers stood up and applauded us.
That felt great and it was a great accomplishment for us to win these belts there in a different country  and in front of foreign fans. From two iconic Japanese wrestlers. (KENZO y MUTA)”
-Cuervo feels its unfair how this accomplishment is not seen as important currently  because there was not the amount of social media activity then
Cuervo switched facepaint designs since the older style took him too long to do
-Cuervo HATES strong style lucha done by many of the younger wrestlers today
Cuervo likes the fame people receive from wrestling
He only wanted to get into wrestling and have a match. Everything else for him is extra.
He has the same style as the character he wrestles as. Goth-emo style clothing
What does AAA have that CMLL does not have? -The interaction with the fans which is not allowed by the company in their arenas -Cuervo says the talent is severely limited
What does CMLL have that AAA does not? - Arena Mexico - Thinks they should project their talent more and move up before they feel forced to leave
Cuervo cites Titan, Vikingo, Dragon Lee as top tier talent
He would not welcome Chessman to be part of his Secta group
Sees La Secta vs Perros Del Mal as a missed oppurtunity by AAA
The discontinuity was caused by Cuervo and Faby working Japan more Konnan could not depend on them to book something meaningful in AAA
Cuervo was really happy during the time Vampiro was booking -Many saw this as a down period for AAA in general -He thought it was time for a superstar push but Dorian stated none of the Secta should become stars (lol)
Cuervo attributes the success of la Secta to their great chemistry -sounds like there is a reunion in the works
He doesn't think current generation wrestlers are going to have long careers due to the dangerous moves they do and how high impact everything has to be now

Hechicero LIVE with Kraneo y Mije UNA CAIDA MAS
Tumblr media
Kraneo works as a chiropractor -does not charge a lot of money -thinks it's a gift to share with others -likes helping people
Mije vs Chucky was a healthy competition and he enjoyed the rivalry thoroughly against Mosther -other wrestlers were also so into the matchup that they would watch the matches from the back
-Kraneo will never get a tattoo
-Has wrestled for 33 years so far
Character arc King Emperio->Alebrije->Mascara Sagrada->Alebrije->Kraneo
Won a mask as King Emperio -worked under this name for 3 years
Moreno (IWRG) talked to him and gave him the Alebrije character that was who they wanted him to be -He hated the latex mask and equates it to wearing a bag over your head -would work the aaa wrestlers that arrived and he began to earn a reputation
Once in the company AAA he would wrestle as Mascara Sagrada due to him reminding them of him physically but would wrestle as he always did -printed publications regarded his work as good and better than the original
He had felt that the Alebrije character was better for his career longevity and went back to that before the Kraneo character in CMLL
Alebrije connected with the kids and made him a fan favorite with the help of Cuije (Mije) due to the original fantasy look
Kraneo brings up when he was booked to wrestle Hechicero and thought it was another L for him -he was surprised how the fans took to him during the match but gives Hechicero credit for being a standout
Hechicero admits he does not have the same level of charisma so he has to express himself through his ring work
They both had their mentors scold them after achieving success as regional stars during training. Both understand that they were made examples for the benefit of the other students.
His family moved to Mexico City early in his childhood
Was an athlete growing up -loved to play as a goal keeper
Hijo de Alebrije is his nephew. Thinks he is too confident sometimes. But loves his attention to detail.
Kraneo has sons but they do not want to be wrestlers so far
Kraneo complains about wrestlers getting criticized by fans when they are working hurt and thinks it's unfair
Kraneo thinks very highly of Mije and is honored to work with him
Mije joins the call
Mije misses the ring and working in front of fans
Kraneo calls Mije the woman in the relationship and Mije does not agree
They have been an act together for 24 years
Tumblr media
Kraneo was on his own for a almost 2 years before they got paired up -thinks Mije had great charisma when he first saw him -got coworkers to pitch in for Mije's collarbone surgery -was a booker in AAA and convinced decision makers to make the team permanent
Mije wanted to quit AAA after a month of being with him because he was bored (Mije laughs)
Mije was only 14 when he first met Kraneo and was in the ring a couple years already
Mije lost and ear from complications during a match -he was greatly afraid of Abismo Negro who would not hold back with him
Mije recalls getting chairs broken over his head by him
He does not allow Kraneo to throw him off the top rope anymore
Kraneo recalls the Japan show they worked and how the fans threw in money and Mije picked up all the money with a cup and brought back roughly 7,000 mxn pesos in his cup
They are able to use the Alebrije and Cuije characters if they want to as declared by the legal ruling over the matter
Mije Consejo Mundial on Facebook [email protected] to get in touch with them
All the fans love Mije's laugh so much they want to make a doll like Woody with his laugh
Kraneo recalls them working some shows in the US. They went around to do media for the shows -They both went to the restaurant with the boss of the tour -The boss ordered clams and had to leave the table for a phone call -Mije ate his clams while he was away after declining the appetizer while ordering
A fan brought up the match they had against El Dandy -Mije would do a dive from the top rope to the floor -He did the dive but landed on his head and was starting to convulse -they abandoned the match and a wrestler drove Mije to the hospital as Mije was starting to choke on his tongue
Hechicero brings up when Misterioso knocked Mije out during a match and had a close call during a match with him that nearly injured him severely
A fan brought up when Forastero launched him over Kraneo during a match and he fell directly to the floor
He has recovered from it but Kraneo thinks he would shoot Forastero if he had a loaded gun Mije laughs big
Kraneo told Ovett he was going to kill someone by sitting on their head and during t his next match he accidentally sat on Terrible's head
Mije is very thankful of getting the job at CMLL as a mascot -he is not forced to wrestle but does when he asked or wants to -he can work shows even when Kraneo is off
Kraneo gets sad and angry watching old matches now since he thinks he's too fat to do all that stuff he used to
He thinks he sets a bad example when the fans explode during his match and motivates others to become out of shape and rely on costumes and mascots
At a show the promoter's son put on Mije's mask and Mije got mad that he stretched out his mask
Kids useds to want to fight Mije at indy shows since they thought he was a child like them
Mije took a bus ride and a little girl sat next to him and wanted to hug him -Kraneo suggested it was because she thought he was a doll
Los Guerillas del Ring are still on as a team and remains a team
Atomo and Chamuel used to be Chucky -both are in cmll now
Kraneo left AAA after Pena died since he was his character and the plans for AAA changed in direction -he sensed he was going to be buried
Fans and wrestlers were doubtful of Kraneo when he made the jump
He calls the AAA wrestlers that stayed there are from his time are bootlickers calling out Chessman as really a bad person
Mije recounts being talked to in effort to retain him but he knew he had to leave too
Kraneo said Mije talked to him at the hotel during one of his last AAA tours that they should leave and convinced him that it was for the better
They refuse to leave CMLL now
Kraneo thinks AAA would have killed off the character had he stayed and he would have become a trainer after that

Hechicero LIVE with Kemonito UNA CAIDA MAS
Tumblr media
Did you know Kemonito was going to be as big as Alushe or bigger?
Now I knew it would be at the same level as Alushe. I had fans still yelling Alushe at me. They knew I was him. But the partnership with Shocker really shot up my popularity. I never imagined it becoming what it is today.
It was difficult for him to stop doing the Alushe character.
But he convinced himself that he had to take a chance and make a new character work.
Leo Magadan (CMLL commentator) called Kemonito a bathroom mat and it turns out that he had a mat in his bathroom that resembled Kemonito's suit. Magadan confirmed on an earlier interview with Hechicero.
Hechicero stated since the pause was forced on them, they have have had injuries arise due to the inactivity. Kemonito says their stomachs have also risen.
A fan asked if Kemonito could make a fusion mask with Mephisto. He did not like this idea.
-Kemonito agrees to make a fusion mask with Hechicero.
Kemonito thinks highly of UG, Titan, Hechicero as wrestlers He notices who is really good and not.
Have you ever developed harsh feelings toward someone that picked on you?
Bad feelings? No. But I have felt like getting revenge on them. With Ultimo Guerrero for the dropkick and Vampiro for that tombstone piledriver. It's part of the job and we know what can happen in the ring.
Hechicero says what happens in the ring stays in the ring. But next time we fix it.
Kemonito thinks people want to take other's attention in the ring and thinks that is a motivation.
He is not ashamed to be a mascot and not a wrestler. He doesn't consider himself as a star or on the par of stars like Atlantis and Mistico.
Hechicero mentions the Dorian Roldan interview and how he wanted to pull Kemonito from CMLL.
Kemonito is aware of his popularity but is only flattered.
Kemonito says his daughter is afraid of the mask.
He has had fans take handicap people and demanded he give them attention for not being able to walk.
They both ignore Pirata Morgan's claims brought up by the live fans.
Kemonito most notable injuries are a twisted foot, achilles surgery, cracked ribs.
He has had fans asking for sex at meet and greets -"I want to have a kid with you!!"
He has gone to Japan as Alushe only. He sold the costume on the last day there.
His daughter made fun of his first Kemonito suit when she saw it.
He did not accompany his son for his mask match because he thought it would make him too nervous.
Kemonito has thought about having a mask match on an anniversary show. But see's it difficult in his physical state. He wants to wrestle a normal sized person.

Mamba interviews LA Park
AAA exotico Mamba interviews La Park for youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkDuCFOyxYSgqPQNYFsUUZg
Tumblr media
Have you ever passed gas during a match?
Yes, even a little poo has gotten out. The other day at a show, I had so much desire to pee. That I was going to do it during the match. I figured that I'm already soaked from sweating so much. No one would notice. But I held it in instead...
What has been the biggest conflict you've had ringside?
I have had so many. I've been to jail numerous times. It's because the fans are so brave. They target you. They are on you. But when we get to the jail, they all deny harassing you. Yes, I've smacked a bunch of them.
One time in Saltillo. I spent many days in the jail after a fan kept wanting to fight me and challenged me to a fight throughout the whole match. So afterwards I go and beat his ass but this guy had a pacemaker. He was in a coma for 3 or 4 days. They did not release me until he woke up. And bless Jesus he did wake up. That fan told the police he started the fight and accepted responsibility.
Would you let your daughter wrestle?
No. No. No. I let her train to give her some excersize. But she started getting into it and was starting to get too good at it. So I cut it off. No. Not happening.
But your daughters all like it?
Well, yeah they all like it but imagine she brings a fucking wrestler home and is like, "look dad, here is my boyfriend". Hell no. I don't want wrestlers in my home.
Who is your favorite son or daughter?
I have no favorites..but I guess I do and it's Yuyis. The youngest one.
When the mask match?
I don't think it happens. One thing is what happens in the ring. Another thing is down here. We've had moments where we could have done it. We've had the contracts but he doesn't want to do it. He is a superstar with a bright future but right now, he does not want to.
It's him. Not me.
Have you ever been caught doing it?
Yes I have. Before there were video phones I had a camera and I would tape myself doing it. After it was over, I would look at the camera and give a big thumbs up.
It was all fun but my wife found my video and she confronted me. "Oh you feel like a big man giving a thumbsup like that"
Me- "what are you talking about?" Her- "here's your video"
That was when I begged her forgiveness and changed for the better.
(Bad to the bone ringtone interrupts interview)
LA Park is not interested in WWE
Blonde or Brunette?
Blondes
Why are you such an asshole?
JAJAJA because they turned me into one. You know wrestlers are assholes like that. One goes into this trying to make friends and be nice but they don't want to cooperate.
I suffered a lot and cried a lot from all they have done to me.
One man once said "The more I get to know wrestlers, the more I love my dog".
How was your relationship with La Parka?
At the beginning it was very poor. But we got closer later on. I was with him before he passed. His family let me be by his side at the hospital. Before AAA moved him to a house for care. My respects to AAA for taking care of him. I was there too. I spoke with him. Spent time there. I still remember. We became good friends. Thanks to his family for allowing me to be by his side.
How many times have you been fired from CMLL?
9. I remember the 6th time where Paco Alonso said, "I'll give you another chance. Don't use any chairs or wheelchairs, or things like that. We set up a betting pool between us here and I got the 7th month. If you are going to do another bonehead thing, make sure you do it on the 7th month from now. So I can win the bet."
They ended up firing me on the 2nd month.
Was it true that you got fired over saying that thing on the microphone?
Yes, Yes. That was the 8th time.
They forgave me again. Now Paco passed away. They made a play on me where we had an agreement for one appearance fee. They wanted me for less after he passed. When I went to get paid, they were trying to pay me less.
Because I didn't get the terms written in a document. That next time I should have it written out.
Had I known I would have gotten it written out. They were open to paying me that amount if I had it written out. But since I knew the type of relationship I had and they had with Paco. So I thought it was all good. He was a man of his word. He had pants and was an honorable man. He would forgive many of the fucking stupid mistakes I would make. I miss him.
May God bless him and take care of him. He was a fucking amazing boss.
LA Park asks Mamba a question
What is the deal with you and Pagano? Is it real?
We came to the show together but we have been friends for a long time. We've made a ton of videos together.
Park- I had to ask because the people and me (looks seriously at the camera) have our doubts. My friend has a crush on you and will fight for you

Bandido appears on CMLL Informa talking his Covid-19 experience
Tumblr media
JCR starts off by informing Bandido that fans were making up stories and rumors about why he was really taken off the anniversary show. (pay, vacation, etc) Bandido says this is the first he has heard of any of it.
All the people making negative comments have no idea what it feels like to go through what he went through. How he it was a struggle to breathe. To live with Covid is like waking up and needing to use the bathroom, then collapsing on the bed out of energy. While not even being able to change the channel on the remote.
I started out the first 3 to 4 days with chest pains since testing positive. Things only got more complicated from there. My brother David, who was there taking care of me. As well as my family. They made it easier for me to make the time go by. I think on day 7, Saturday, at night I had begun to think it was all over.
JCR mentions Sugehit was asymptomatic and asks Bandido what he felt
Bandido thinks it would be a very cruel way to die. If not the most. Not being able to breathe really messed with him mentally. Not being able to do what he wanted his body to do. Bandido thanks God for being able to breathe. He asks people to support those who have the virus.
Bandido says he is a changed man. He wants to live life to its fullest everyday now. With more happiness.
That Saturday was the worst night for him. At 10 PM he went to bed and started noticing he was out of breath. He wanted to inhale but just could not. He relives feeling violent pulsing head aches.
Bandido had gotten an oxygen meter to measure his O2 level. The doctor he spoke with told him to only be worried once that level drops below 90.
The 6 days prior to Saturday, he was at 90-92 O2 level. He felt fine then but when he measured it that night it read 82. 95-99 is normal
Seeing this number scared Bandido into thinking he was going to die. He didn't want to scare his brother, who was watching him.
He had already taken the medication he was prescribed and felt that he could not do any more to help himself. It was an injection, two other medications, lemon ginger tea.
When he woke up in the morning, he felt better and was taking every remedy he could think of like 10 garlic cloves. His fried visited him, who is a veterinarian. Gaston. Who he credits for saving his life by prescribing him additional medication on top of what the first doctor prescribed when he received the diagnosis.
Gaston prescribed a treatment intended for HIV patients after seeing him and thinking he was also going to die.
Bandido posted he was on his 15th day on October 5 Monday September 21 had to be the day he received the diagnosis

Rush, Bestia del Ring, Dragon Lee, Mistico talk accidents irl
youtube
Video starts out with the family chilling outside and bringing up stories about accidents that have happened to them starting with Mistico mentioning he fell off the second story of a building on a bicycle at 4 years old and fractured his cranium in the fall.
Dragon Lee then brings up when he was 5 years old and playing on a balcony and jumped off. He only suffered trauma that swelled the left side of his face up.
Dragon Lee jokes "Pierroth must have been there because he didn't even catch us!!"
(Mistico borrows a horse)
There was a place called "el villa" and it was pretty much all dessert. My brother arrives with a horse.
He told me to get on. I must have been like 13 at the time.
I got on, thinking that he knew what I weighed. So we go on. It was getting too fast. So I'm like, "slow down". And out of instinct, I kick the horse with my leg.
We take off and I start freaking out. "STOP IT!! STOP IT RIGHT NOW" Mistico was like, " see you do know how to ride. Stop it."
"NO I don't. You stop it!!"
Mistico slowed down the horse until it stopped.
Mistico was showing off and started to head back to return the horse. He made the horse kick up on it's hind legs and ended up tumbling off head first into the ground.
The way they got the horse was that Mistico borrowed it while using Rush's truck as collateral. Mistico was 10 years old during this.
Bestia - Me and Ultimo Dragoncito are the last active wrestlers out of Diablo Velasco's class.
Bestia says he is quite the handyman like all Mexican dads.
Dragon Lee almost drowned and Mistico had to rescue him. Since then Dragon Lee is deathly afraid of the water.
Bestia also fell off a boat and started drowning while Veneno was laughing at him before helping him back in.

Murder Clown explains origins of Psycho Circus
From interview by Estrellas del Ring
youtube
AAA were looking to revive a gimmick that worked for years. They had success with the group of clown wrestlers known as Los Payasos.
Monsther Clown (who was working as Aliens), Brazo de Plata Jr. (who was an exciting young prospect and came in with his father), and Murder Clown (who was someone they saw potential in) were on hand.
Antonio Pena had the idea to put them together in a group and form "The Clowns of Terror” or “Los Payasos de Terror”
Murder Clown recounts how they came to be grouped as Psycho Circus
At the meeting, they explained their idea but, we didn't like it. We had our own ideas about how the characters should be.
Well, I had a brother who was good at drawing and we all told him how we wanted to look like. Psycho said he wanted a mohawk, a tongue, big teeth. I said I wanted to look like a demon. Monsther wanted to look more like a clown. He drew them up for us.
We got with Joaquin and Dorian Roldan and came to an agreement. They had our costumes made. But they insisted we be called the Clowns of Terror. I told him, "I don't like it".
I told him, “if he remembered that one album Kiss released a while back named "Psycho Circus"?
Dorian replied, "Of course I remember that. I went to a concert with my uncle".
He got on board with the name right there.

Cibernetico Storytime Run ins with organized crime

AAA Van intercepted by criminal group outside Ciudad Juarez
As you know it came out on social media that we got robbed in Ciudad Juarez.
First we had gone to a show in Chihuahua (near Juarez) and they had rented a big van for transportation. It was not comfortable.
We got on the highway. Everyone was on there. The Clowns, La Parka, Pimpi, Texano, the whole card.
Things were pretty grim at the time because they would rob and hijack people on the highway and all that bullshit.
We were just about to arrive at Ciudad Juarez when a small Chevy car got in front of us and tried to get real close to us so the driver of the van passed him. The whole van was shaking but we got thru. Then two trucks came and boxed us in. We were unsure of what to do next. They force us to stop. Three guys got off the truck with big guns.
I do think they were from the Mafia.
They yelled at us to get out of the fucking van. At that moment, I thought we were fucked.
But you know, there is always someone that tries to explain that "we are wrestlers".
The leader replied, "I don't give a dick if you are wrestlers."
We all hurried off the fucking van. Two more pickups came and closed the highway.
"Go walk over there and form a line bitches," they ordered to us.
There was a wall there and we lined up as the instruction was to go and face the wall in a line.
I thought we were going to be executed. These guys were so full of themselves and I knew you shouldn't mess with them.
I think they were from that region and they really didn't give a fuck if we were wrestlers. So they got us out and against the wall.
Even Pimpinela was barefoot, clamming around.
They ended up taking the van with all the bags and possessions inside.
All of us were afraid.
We thought we were dead because that's how those people are. Maybe they thought we were from another group. Trying to take the plaza from them. The only plaza we would need to take is the one with all the bars after this scare.
So us wrestlers were talking. We were all really scared. One of us got the gun pointed at them.
Then there was Pimpi. Who was all distressed.
"Ay, ay, ay..boys.." She must have been traumatized so I ask her what's wrong.
"Ay, ay, did you see him? Did you see the guy with the gun and the hat?"
"He was SO HANDSOME!!"
"Fuck off asshole! Cut that shit out(lol)"
We were over here worrying about being killed and this fucker is fantasizing about this guy.
We all laughed about it.
Fucking Pimpi you were more concerned about how good looking this guy was. Fuck off.
Soon we caught a ride from Federal agents that arrived on the scene. They interviewed us but I think we got really lucky.
The commander assured us that we would receive our things back soon. And what do you know, in two hours we got everything back.
But it had to be Pimpi coming out with that bullshit. Here we are near death and that's what Pimpi is thinking about.

Ciber and the Veracruz Commander
About 10 years ago in Veracruz. Laaa juarea Parka gave me a heads up about the area being run by a new head of organized crime there.
The people that show up at the show to collect would be different than last time. They charge a fee to the promoter.
The people part of those organizations are really big wrestling fans.
They are really respectful with us. Its like when a singer or band does a gig for them. They don't ask for who or what, they just do it. Wrestling it's the same.
They buy a lot of masks because they are big fans.
LA Parka told me about the change in personnel so I could warn the wrestlers not to sell the masks this time without getting to know who these people were first or how they dealed.
So we got to the show. It finished up and I left with my driver. But as we were pulling out of the parking we got stuck behind the AAA bus.
It was not moving. It stayed there for like 30 minutes. So I told my driver to check it out.
My driver went to check it out. He came back to me with El Apache.
El Apache told us there was something heavy going on. So I went to go check it out. All of the wrestlers were being held up by the commander, who was fully armed.
Fat, short, really tan, military buzz-cut, and tattooed everywhere.
I ask him why we can't leave yet.
He says," what's happening is that the boys here handed over some masks to my boys. Those are gifts. Now they want to take them away. Why?"
He was not happy with the attitude of the wrestlers (who were expecting to get paid for the masks)
Ciber puts it together and talks with El Apache
Hey boss, Chuy told me these people were going to be different and they would not have any idea about any previous arrangement going on.
They gave them the masks and they took them as gifts.
El Apache goes back to let the wrestlers know what was up and that they would have to take the loss for being idiots.
I let the commander know that they would in fact be gifts for his men.
"That's all I wanted to know" the commander said "It was all a misunderstanding"
You have to treat these people with tweezers because a small insignificant thing like this is a huge sign of disrespect.
So we all got on the same page and they opened the gate and offered to escort the bus out of town.
I start walking back to my car. The commander tells me to hold up.
"You, yes you, get over here."
I thought we were all good to go. Why does he want to talk to me?
"Don't act a fool. Get over here"
"Me?!? I didn't give any masks."
He noticed they took the ring down and showed disappointment.
But he said, "now that this was taken care of, I really can't stand you."
(Ciber feeling the pressure)
"Why? What did I do to you?"
"You want to know why I can't stand you? It's because my wife adores you."
Fuck, I thought I was done
"Yes, you are the platonic love of my wife."
Fuck, I was rolling inside. I was done for sure. There was a singer killed for this same reason.
"Who is she boss?" (It better not be one I knew around here)
The commander gets his wife over to meet Ciber
Ciber continues to have a conversation with the commander's wife while the commander is hoovering behind him.
Ciber suggests a photo but tries to include the commander in it but he wanted no part of in.
While we pose she started giving me compliments and kissing me all over. I'm like "NO. NO. NO. Get away!" But I didn’t say it out loud.
It was too much but she finally left and I was left with the commander who comes up to me making remarks.
"What a fine gentleman we have here. He knows how to treat a lady."
He was tugging on his gun belt and that made me even more anxious thinking he was going to dissapear me.
"I see you have a lot of tattoos friend"
"I see you have them too"
They were like prison tattoos.
He asked me how many I had. So I say I haven't counted them, so about 50.
"Very good. Let me show you the rarest tattoo you will ever see."
He rolled up his sleeve and showed me a terrible looking bar code tattoo.
"How about that!"
"That's some fine work you got there. But let me say, you aren't the only one with bar code." I showed him mine.
He said, "Shit. It's true you have one too. That's cool."
What if now he wants to kill me because I have a bar code tattoo.
"You know what? I think I like you now. But my tattoo looks better."
Yes. Yes. Exactly. Mine looks like shit compared to yours.
"You are cool by me. That makes two of us with bar codes."
Now this probably a really lame tattoo that so many people get. Probably all over their bodies like their ass or foreskin.
But I was like, "We are the only two motherfuckers with barcodes! YEAH!!...but if you want, I can remove it. No problem with me."
"No we can both have them but mine will always be better. I go to fucking Walmart and walk by the scanner so it beeps. Fuck them. I walk out free."
I didn't know what was going to happen but we became friends out of it.
