He lifted his hand up to knock on the door of his Grandfather’s temple. He was praying that Valk was still here. He would not know what to do otherwise….

-> He didn't say anything and just looked down, starting to fidget with his fingers as he waited for the other to speak.

that makes sense, and he definitely could have toned down his reaction a little bit. Neither of you are particularly at fault, however. You're right, things have been stressed for you all and it can be hard to bring up the right timing and all, but I can imagine how tiring it is to feel like you don't get told anything in a family, especially when it's easy for things to blow up and escalate. Once the both of you get calmed down, I think it'd be good to have you both sit down, apologize, and talk.

think about all you've done right-! Like helping Dom get back on his feet after that.... Unfortunate encounter- Or! How happy you make Boombox feel, how much you've helped out Firebrand, your job! Everyone is bound to make mistakes, even people who live long lives. You won't see everything that'll ever happen, you can't always react 'accordingly' without mishaps. and that's okay.
