Texas Helles by @communitybeerco. This Helles style lager has a nice clean taste. The malts shine with their breadyness, the hops sing with their light bitterness, and the yeast strain lends a bit of down to Earthiness. Oh hell yeah I have found the booty of Cpt Beer. This amazing variant of Full Grown Man by @tupps_brewery FULL GROWN SCALLYWAG. Coconut and vanilla mingles with the roasty chocolateness of the Man giving you the pleasent aroma of a certain cookie sold by a group made up of girls. The Qitch by @lakewoodbrewing. This Imperial Milk Stout is the Temptress aged on coffee beans, vanilla, and other spices in a bourbon barrel. The first thing on the nose was coffee and tobacco followed by a hit of bourbon. Taste follows along with the nose and adds a bittersweetness. So I walked out of my apartment yesterday and noticed something in the tree. Upon closer inspection I saw it was a wild Spirit Animal, a rare species called a Blue Owl @blueowlbrewing. A trio of greatness from @lakewoodbrewing. Threadspinner (named after the fate Clotho). A barlywine aged in bourbon barrels from @witherspoondistillery. A smooth booziness upfront followwd by the full body punch of the barlywine. It then mellows into a robust maltiness that brings the palate to life. ABV of 13.5% and 90 IBU's Brett Barrel Berliner Weiss w/Raspberry. A sour Berliner Weiss aged in wine barrels w/ brettanomyces & raspberries. A beautiful color followed by a wonderful nose. Flavor of raspberries and the tart of a BW and the sour bite at the end. ABV of 4.3% and 4 IBU's. Feral Berry. A soured brown ale w/ cranberries, cherries (both sweet and tart), and black curants. This wild brew of berries attacks your mouth with a ton of flavors. El Gose by @averybrewingco. This lime filled gose tantalized my palate. The lime made it tart, the light salt made it tangy. Went to the soft opening of an amazing new brewery this past weekend, @newmainbrewing! They will be having their official GRAND OPENING on the 24th of February so head on out to Pantego, TX and take advantage of the 20 taps of local brews. While there I sampled their Pantego Porter.
