September meeting
At our September meeting, as well as discussing knitting, we heard from Sandra who was a volunteer at the Paralympics recently. She told us that she had thoroughly enjoyed herself. Her particular venue was the volley ball. She was allocated the evening shift, so did not get home until after midnight, but adjusted her sleeping habits to compensate! She also took part in the parade from Mansion House to Buckingham Palace on Monday, September 10th. Well done, Sandra.

Elaine talked about using tartan as a motif for a garment. Tartan at present, seems to have made a comeback. We were shown a number of swatches made by Elaine and tear sheets from magazines and newspapers where tartan patterns had been used.

Knit and Natter 2012
We talked about the date for our next Knit and Natter, which will be held at the same venue on May 18th, 2013. We hope that as many visitors will come as did for the event this year, held on July 7th. Here are a few pictures , which we were told was thoroughly enjoyed by both our visitors and exhibitors.
