Temptation and Unity Part 2

A few weeks pass by and it’s James’ funeral. Amy sits around the front row with her weeping mother as she tries comforting her. Many people came to pay their respects and say their final goodbye’s. As time went on James’ body has been buried and Amy stands there looking at her father’s grave with a sorrowful look, a hand reaches towards her shoulder and she turns seeing a tall man wearing a military outfit. “I presume you must be Amy Miller?” Jack said looking at her, “No, I’m Jessica Turner” Amy said sarcastically with a sneer. Jack looked at her with a raised eyebrow. “So, you’re not Amy Miller?” Jack replied looking puzzled.

Amy facepalmed and sighs looking at Jack “Of course I’m Amy Miller! Who are you?” she said irritated. Jack clears his throat and says “Lieutenant Jack Riley, I’m here on a mission to gather intel from your father, but I’ve arrived too late” Jack muttered as he looked down towards the grave with an apologetic look. “What do you want? Can’t you see I’m busy?” Amy sneered as she looks at him. Jack sighs and looks at her with a neutral look, “I’m here to ask you if you have any information, or anything that your father has told you that can help us” Jack exclaimed as he looked at Amy, she thinks for a bit and says “I remember my father said he used to have a cabin in Guadalupe City” she said looking at him, Jack hummed and nodded as he turned around and headed for his truck.

“Wait a minute! Where are you going?” she ran after him following behind him, Jack turned around to face her, “I’m going to Guadalupe City” he simply exclaimed and continued walking. “Can I come with?” she asked with a small bit of hope, hoping she could avenge her father. “No, you can’t go with me” Jack argued back as he continued walking. Amy wasn’t going to give up yet as she continued following after him and begging for her to join. Jack had enough and sighed frustrated and turned to look at her “Fine! But don’t get in my way” He said frustrated, Amy cheered and quickly hopped inside his truck strapping herself in.

Amy and Jack both arrived in Guadalupe City near a small town, they both walk alongside each other heading for the destination to look for clues, that’s when they bump into an abandoned building and hear screams coming from the inside. Jack hurries over drawing his rifle holding it close while Amy hides behind him. He kicks the door open and points his rifle inside ready to shoot anything that is deemed a threat by him.

The scene they walk into is horrifying, dead bodies laid on the ground while a weird being stands in the middle looking down at the carnage they caused, the being turns to look at both Jack and Amy. “Oh! Well would you look at that! More guests” the demon said with a cheerful look, the being had pale skin with horns and a Japanese styled clothing. “Stand back or I’ll be forced to shoot” Jack sneered as he pointed his rifle at the demon. “Whoa! Relax Romeo and Juliet! I won’t harm you, I’m just here to finish these humans off for their little crimes!” The demon laughed as he walked closer to Jack and Amy. “Why don’t I introduce myself? My name is Sukunado” he exclaimed with a smirk, when Sukunado tries approaching, Jack quickly shoots at him, the bullet hits Sukunado. “Hey! What was that for?! I was just trying to find my way out!” Sukunado hissed as his wound healed up, he walked towards them and got close to them, as if studying their personalities and thoughts by taking a single look at their souls.

The minute Sukunado sees Amy, he smirks with excitement and says “Little Missy here wants revenge! I can smell it within your soul!” Sukunado says with glee as he tries approaching Amy. Jack quickly steps in front of Amy forming a protective shield with his body. “I won’t let you get close to Miss Miller” Jack sneered as he glared at the demon. Sukunado frowned and waved him off. “Fine! Whatever, you’re loss!” Sukunado exclaimed with a pout.

The three of them continued on their way deeper into the city to find the cabin. Sukunado can be seen bothering Jack while Amy walks behind them trying to hide her laugh. “So Romeo!” Sukunado said but was interrupted by Jack. “It’s Jack, and can you please be quiet? We’re supposed to be on the lookout and we can’t really do that with you screeching like a bird” Jack said frustrated. Sukunado sulks and crosses his arms looking away.

After some time they arrive on the property, Amy smiles seeing her father’s old cabin and she excitedly walks inside not waiting for Sukunado or Jack, as she rushes towards the cabin she doesn’t notice a man inside pointing his pistol out through the window. Before Jack or Sukunado can warn her, there is a loud bang and Amy falls to the floor gasping for air.

Jack quickly takes his pistol out and shoots the enemy down and Sukunado rushes over to Amy to help. When they both reach Amy she’s on the floor clutching her chest, gasping for air as she stares at them with terrified and pained look. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you just hold on!” Jack muttered as he tried to calm Amy down, he puts pressure on her wound trying to stop the bleeding. Meanwhile Sukunado rushes inside and sees the Cartel members waiting inside, filled with rage he rushed at the cartel members ripping them to shreds for what they did. Once he’s done he walks outside to see Jack clutching Amy close to his body as he whispers to her. “You’ll be fine, just close your eyes and it’ll all be over” Jack whispered as he held her close to him.

Sukunado lowered his head and walked away leaving them alone. Amy weakly raises her head to look at Jack and says “Stop them for me, please” she weakly muttered as her body went limp. Jack holds her closer not carrying if his clothes get all dirty from her blood. He gets up carrying her close to his body as he turns to look at Sukunado with a vengeful look in his eyes.

It’s the middle of the night at a military base when a helicopter lands, it’s rotor blades begin to slow down until they stop completely. The sound is replaced by wind rustling and the sound of a metal door opening. A man gets out wearing heavy tactical gear. He appears to be around 6’2 in height with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes.

A private runs up to the tall man and hands him a folder, “Lieutenant Riley, we just got a report of Mexican Cartel stealing intel, they’re target is a man named James Miller who’s a specialist with explosives”. Jack reached for the folder and opened it, his eyes scanning the information and looking at the picture of James Miller, Jack looks at the private and says, “Send me the coordinates to where James Miller is currently residing at, we need to get to him first before the cartel get’s him” Jack replied to the private, he turned towards the SAS base and walked towards it heading to his office to further look into the situation at hand.

A stadium is showed with thousands of people inside cheering and clapping, the sound of a tennis ball being hit is heard. Amy Miller is at center court playing against her opponent for the Roland Garros title. She runs across the court hitting the ball and getting ready to return it at any moment. This goes on for half of the game till it’s time for a break. She walks over to her corner and sits down at her bench, the sound of her panting can only be heard by her as she searches inside her bag for her water. Suddenly one of the ball boys appear and informs her that her manager is looking for her in the locker rooms, she quickly hurries over and finds her manager waiting inside with a grim face. “Hailey? What’s wrong what happened?” she asked with a worried look. Hailey walks up to Amy and says “Amy I’m sorry to inform you, but your dad’s been shot and killed” Hailey said with a grim face. Amy’s eyes widen with a distraught look, she slowly sits down and looks at the ground with an upset look.
