i cant even read the news any more and function as a person without being paralyzed by dread. it really feels like the world is going to end in the next decade and im supposed to just have a career and pay taxes

I’ve seen a lot of people saying, “why does it matter if he’s white?” It MATTERS that he is white. It MATTERS that he is a white supremacist. It MATTERS that he is a Donald Trump supporter. It MATTERS because he drove miles from his home in Dallas to go to a border city who’s population is predominantly Hispanic, in an area where many Mexicans from the South of the border also come to shop, during a tax exempt weekend when more people than usual went shopping . His crime was premeditated and was based on his racist, xenophobic views and it was done under a president who makes people like him think that, that is completely normal and fine. So yes, it fucking matters that he is white.

So You Want to Watch Women’s Soccer…

(or more specifically “I want to support our American soccer players but I have no idea how this game works”)

Like most bisexuals people I fell in love with the USA women’s soccer team during the World Cup despite never having watched a game prior. In the days following the Final I pestered my friends to explain the in’s and out’s of the National Women’s Soccer League and ending up building this infographic/deck/elaborate PowerPoint presentation in about six or so hours. FYI the team descriptions were provided by my lovely friend Angela, so if it seems a bit heavy on the Chicago… well that’s why.
