I know next to nothing about the Addam’s Family’s greater canon, but the fact that Lurch is visually so strongly based on Frankenstein’s Creature makes me so happy, because it’s the happy ending the Creature deserves and I can so imagine it? You have the Creature at the end of the novel who is lonely and who has resigned himself that he will never be loved and that all humans will reject him on sight and then he meets the Addam’s Family and they are the first ones who don’t attack him or run away screaming - they either don’t say anything or even more likely, they are high-key excited about a Creature put together from corpses. That’s probably the highest Addam’s aspiration, to be more than 1 corpse. So they take him in and he has a family for the first time. What a crossover. What over-thinking on my part. I love it.

any mention of black lives matter has disappeared off my dashboard so i thought y'all might want to know that police stormed a peaceful vigil in memory of elijah mcclain, attacking mourners with pepper spray. families were there. children were affected. this movement isnt over just because it's no longer trendy.

The first picture was my betta in the Top Fin Retreat 5-Gallon he got fin rot no matter what. The 2nd is him in his Aqueon Size 13 Tank. It came as a starter set with a filter and lid with lights and a pre set heater (which i didn't use because i already had an Enheim adjustable heater which i like far better.) Rain is taking his new and better tank in stride. It's only been a couple days and already a major difference in his health.

Upgraded my boy's, Rain , tank. I had another previous tank which I believe kept making him sick numerous times. Despite checking water parameters and the usual weekly water changes. Baffled the pump due to it being to strong I just used a Dasani water bottle cut up to fit the filer. And I went with a more natural look this time.

My old tank, Top Fin Retreat 5 gallon seemed to grow algae far too quickly and allowing bad bacteria despite the care. (Upon reading negative reviews: people said their bettas kept getting sick and someone found a toxic bacteria bubble allowing constant bad bacteria under the built in filter which never worked properly. ) so I am happy with this one so far. Since Rain seems much happier and healthier.

This is my first photo with BUB next our last photo together.

On the morning of Sunday, December 1st 2019 we lost the purest, kindest and most magical living force on our planet. BUB was cheerful and full of love laying in our bed with us Saturday night, but unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep.. I have always been fully transparent about BUB’s health, and it was no secret that she was battling a persistent and aggressive bone infection.  Even knowing this, we weren’t expecting her to pass so soon or so abruptly without warning.  I truly believe that she willingly made the decision to leave her failing body so that our family would not have to make that difficult decision ourselves. 

It is impossible to put into words the profound effect that BUB has had on my life, on the lives of thousands of homeless pets, and on the lives of those of you that have cared for her as if she were your own family. She taught me everything that I know about unconditional love, she brought my wife Stacy and I together, she’s the reason we have our beautiful children Rosco and Lula, and she has been a constant source of warmth and love in our lives for the past 8 years. To say that our family is devastated would be an understatement. But most importantly, BUB has made a huge difference in the world of animal welfare, and in the lives of millions of people worldwide. She has literally saved thousands of lives (both pets and humans), she started the first national fund for special needs pets, she was the subject of groundbreaking genetic and biological  research, she’s helped raise over $700,000 for animals in need, and has spread a message of determination, positivity, and perseverance to people all over the world. And even though my heart is absolutely crushed by her graceful departure from planet Earth,  I know that her sprit, magic, and overwhelming energy are still with us, reminding us every day to be better.

Dearest BUB, I will never forget your generosity, your limitless supply of love, or your uncanny ability to bring so much magic and joy to the world. I am forever honored and humbled that you chose me as your caretaker. Please visit all of us in our dreams often. GOOD JOB BUB.
