Hayley laughed a little before chewing on the inner cherk for a moment as if debating the proposition. "If you say so... I don't seem to remember panting though not for some time... I think it was when I gave birth to Maddie.." she teased. Watching the man, her eyes seemed to glisten. She enjoyed this side of Elijah, it was nice to see him bubbly and not having the whole world rest on his shoulders.

Pouting her lips together she nodded a little. Elijah was right, she was such a perfectionist with her work, if she had any doubts she wouldn’t put an adoption through. Hayley rested her head on his shoulder as he spoke about their family. “I never thought of a family either, my life was not exactly happy, and I didn’t want to screw up a child..” she admitted. Hearing his words, she bit on her lip. “Oh I’m not questioning it Elijah, I know it’s not as good as it once was.” she continued. It was nice to see him in a playful mood like this.
“Yet you were amazing with hope. I remember telling you about my family, and asking you to trust me. I am glad you ended up doing so.” Even though Elijah regretted a lot of how things happened. The fact they ended up in the after life together briefly for that dance he was at peace after all these years with it. “Maybe we should head up stairs and I can give you a demonstration on just how good it is Hayley. You really shouldn’t question a man’s stamina. Because I’d leave you panting on the bed.” He whispered into her ear as he kissed her cheek, he often wasn’t in a playful mood but Hayley questioning his staying power had him in a mood to prove her wrong.

“I know but trust me, you have such an instinct to sense out when things are wrong.” He told his wife knowing that her job was stressful, and that she couldn’t shut it off. “I don’t know just never saw myself as a father, I was around too many centuries to hold onto any dreams of a family outside of my family.” He told her as he then smirked. “Are you questioning my staying power? Because I can so make you go wild still, and my stamina is just fine love.” He whispered into her ear to tease her if she wanted his stamina he’d give it to her.

“I simply have the faith you lack, because I know what kind of woman you are. But don’t you check in on your cases after they are adopted?” He questioned as he looked down at his wife. “Sometimes it still perplexes me that you ever allowed me to get you pregnant once, never mind the number of times we have. Especially when we found out it was possible. I never even let myself dwell on the thought of a family. I thought it’d be Rebekah and my brothers until the end and that was it.” He spoke honestly.
“Yes, I do personally check on as many as I can. I mean It’s still something to worry... I see them for what an hour a visit.... what about the rest of the time... you just hear so many horror stories.” She stated. It was hard for her to shut off from work sometime - sometimes a run in the bayou just seemed to melt her fears away even if for a short time. “Why not? You were always amazing with Hope, and the way we were at the beginning of our relationship and marriage it was hard to stop it.” she teased. “ You had much more stamina back then.” She teased again.

Maddie walked into the kitchen and smiled as she saw her mother sitting down. Walking over to her, Maddie gave her a quick kiss on her cheek before going through the kitchen and making her own quick lunch. “I feel like I haven’t seen you since Christmas mama, I’ve missed you and our talks.” Maddie pouted.
Hayley smiled seeing her little girl moving into the kitchen. Feeling the kiss on her cheek her smile grew for a moment. “I know, I feel the same, I was actually telling your father the other day that I was off work for a little longer than normal this year, because I didn’t feel like I was seeing you enough.” she admitted to the other. “I assume you want to talk since you sought me out, Maddiebear.

Hayley had left work earlier than usual, with a bag of paperwork that needing sorting out. After getting home she made herself a small meal before sitting at the kitchen counter, with a bottle of water to her side and the stack of papers laid out in front of her. Sorting through the mess, she stopped when she heard her daughter calling out to her. “I’m in the kitchen.” she replied before turning her attention from the paperwork and watching the entrance awaiting her daughter.

Maddie had been so busy at the hospital lately that at the first moment she had a break, she immediately went in search of her mama. She went to her mum’s work first before being directed to home and immediately she called out. “Mama! Where are you?”

“But then my courageous wife finds new homes for these kids. The kids are better off Hayley with another family if someone abandons them.” Elijah had a distaste for such horrible people, those were the type of people he wouldn’t mind draining dry. “But we have many good things here, my family seems to be getting along still, we have music in the quarter, you have your bayou. We have our kids. Plus or minus the ones I like and don’t like.” He joked with her.
Hayley smiled at her husbands words, he was so positive of her - more positive about her abilities than she was herself. “I know, but sometimes I have to wonder is it the right family, are they looked after... I feel like you have to much Faith in me sometimes Elijah.” she admitted with a soft sight. “Yes we do, I am glad you are all getting along, and the bayou is nice and relaxing.” she paused. “Our kids are the best thing about this whole situation Elijah. Seeing you with them as babies and the way you looked at them - it was heart warming, and I am so happy I was able to give you that family.” she admitted.

It had been a while since Hayley had seen Klaus for longer than a quick hello and with her concerns over their daughter growing, she knew it was time to seek the otger out. As much as she could talk to Elijah about Hope, Klaus was her father, and they had her in common. Approaching his office at the school, she tapped on the door softly before moving inside. "Klaus...do you have a little time... I would like to talk to you about somwthing." She admitted.

“I’m sorry..” She confessed as she pressed her lips together. “Yeah, trying to keep busy honestly.”
Hayley nodded her head softly. "It is okay, I just missed you. Has you father seen you as well, I am sure he is as concerned as I am" she stated. "Why? What is on your mind sweetie?"

Pushing her hand up along her face, Hope heard her moms voice and it was always music to her ears. “Mom, hi.”
Hayley smiled to the female as she spoke. "My little girl hasn't been to see me all that much and Mama wolf was getting worried." She admitted. "Been busy?"

“I think we’ve already overrun this city, I can only hope that eventually one of the witches can figure out how to bust that barrier so we can get out of this god forsaken city.” Elijah had called many places home, and home would remain wherever she was, but it didn’t mean he enjoyed being trapped especially with his predicament. “Lets just hope more idiotic humans enjoy continuing to come to bourbon street, I am not sure what we will do if our blood supply were to ever run low.” Even if he was tiring of the taste of idiotic drunks, he prefered his snacks more refined.
Hayley laughed a little. Elijah had a point, the town was already nearing breaking point, and despite her distain for drinking from the vein now, she knew Elijah was right. Lucky for Hayley she had never really had to go for extended periods of time without blood, and she didnt want to, or her kids to have too. "I know... we would be royally...screwed." she pondered on the word for a moment. "I do sometimes think about how many poor children are put up for adoption here...since we have a high tourist rate... I think some people come here, and dump their babies.." she admitted.

“We would, and this town is only getting smaller. I’d rather be in monasque, attempting to teach you the finer points of art. Maybe playing that grand again.” Elijah sighed, he had been happy in France, he hadn’t been himself but that feeling lingered even as he met Hayley again. But coming back to life wasn’t something he banked on, no in his dreams he was in France, he was a free man
Hayley watched her husband for a moment before a slim finger started to run through his hair. “Yes it is... Elijah... have you ever thought about what would happen if more people do keep coming and getting stuck in New Orleans? And if the kids every have their own families... we are going to be overrun..” she admitted.

It had been some time since hayley had seen her daughter, and she was begining to wonder how the female was doing. Heading out to grab her luch, she made a detour from her usual and headed to see Hope. Letting herself into the shop, Hayley smiled a little, brushing her hair behind her ear. "Hope?"

“Long as you find them fitting homes. I don’t think we can fit more children in this house.” Elijah mused to his wife as he gently tugged her down to his lap and wrapped an arm around her. “Their still boys, plenty more lessons to learn before they are grown men.” Or at least that was his opinion.
Hayley laughed a little at what the male was saying. “True... I think we would need to extend the house..” she laughed. She fell onto his lap and looked to him as she wrapped her arm around the males neck. “In fairness Elijah, you have had a thousand years on our boys to turn into the man you are... I think they will need to have a little slack.” she teased.

Elijah craned his neck upwards so he could look at his wife. “So you won’t be bringing all the kids home in your purse this year then?” He teased her as he reached up a hand for his wife to take so he could pull her onto his lap if she’d like. “I think the girls enjoyed you around a bit more.”
Hayley smiled to her husband after his movements before shaking her head slowly at his question. “No, at least I will try not... unless a very cute baby comes in and give me sad eyes.” she giggled. Hayley took the males hand and nodded a little. “Yes, I suppose they do... And it’s lovely to see my little boys turned into grown men. “

Elijah glanced up hearing his wife as he shook his head. “No, nothing. Just going over some of my surgeries in my head today.” He said as he slipped the necklace into his pocket unnoticed. “Did you take the day off or something? You are home early.” Elijah admittedly hadn’t expected Hayley to be around when he came home.
Hayley let a small smile cross her lips as he spoke before moving towards him and standing above him in his chair. “No, I took a few more days off, Last year I felt like I put my all into my work and it took me too far from his family... so I want to spend the beginning of the year at home and when I go back try to keep work and home separate.” she admitted.

Hayley was still at home - allowing her subordinates to take care of the children and the adoption agency. She finished her shower, before moving out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. She pulled out some underwear to slip on before placing on a jogging set - she only intended to relax for the day. Heading down the stairs, she grabbed a drink from the fridge before wandering aimlessly around the ground floor. Finding her husband, she smiled softly watching him. “Something eating you?” she questioned.
Elijah was glad the holidays were over. He had managed to survive without incident. He hadn’t had an episode where he blacked out in a while, but the night before he had woke up in his car and his suit covered in blood. He managed to hide everything from his wife and kids, burnt the suit and washed the rest down the drain. He was sitting with a bourbon and a necklace he had found in his pocket in his other hand.

Maddie heard her mum before she turned to face her and grinned. “Hi mama.” She giggled as she wrapped her arms around her mum. “Especially when I get cuddles from you and daddy, that makes it quite nice when spending time in the warmth. But also the ice rink is quite special.” She smiled. “Are you going to come ice-skating with me mama?”
Hayley smiled softly at the young girls words. Hugging the female back, she pulled back before laughing a little. Leaning towards the females head, she pressed her forehead to Maddie’s. “Your father does indeed give the best cuddles.” she stated. “Oh I don’t know...I find I can be quite clumsy on the ice.”
