okay so right after i just started this account i posted 2 long posts and disappeared for a couple of days. i've noticed that my last post is relatively popular with some of you.... TvT (im not crying happy tears, you are) thanks to everyone who has supported and while we're at it maybe give a bit of attention to my first post (willingly ofc!)!!!! i've been getting ready to start school and yesterday was my first day so that kind of explains why i've been pretty inactive but i promise i've got another post for you guys soon (and my apologies for acting like a mega influencer when im not lmao) - mikequeelersnintendo

i absolutely love the point you made here and one thing i might add is that although The First Shadow had inconsistencies with the original show (especially with the timeline of Henry Creel), it is still HEAVILY considered as canon, so what's stopping us from believing a little byler scene in a book that's not even about them is true???
Stranger Things Spinoff Books
hey so, i feel like the spinoff books (specifically the dustin experiment and lucas on the line) aren't talked about enough in the byler community. i know they aren't technically fully canon but they're atleast a secondary type of canon. i'll use this post by @queerxqueen (author of The Dustin Experiment) as an example.
Tumblr media
the books are canon unless proven not to be for the most part. i feel that what really does it for me is the fact that the authors of the book have to *adhere to the canon* of the show. i think this means a lot and i'll show you why (also does it not bring you immense joy that a FELLOW BYLER wrote that book):

all of THIS has been reviewed by folks at netflix and writers of the show. this is practically PROVEN to *adhere to the canon*. do you get what im getting at... so although the books are a whole different level of canon from the show.. its not necessarily wrong to take it as an extension of what we already know
meaning i can live happily and believe that mike actually did pry the phone from dustin and hogs it just to talk to his precious bbg william byers (without being a whole fuckload of wrong) :)

half assed theory thats probably nothing but its worth a shot !!!
okay so i'm very new to tumblr and i've found myself very addicted to reading the long posts about byler (i'm so normal about them call me mr normal about byler). i've seen all these theories and bylergates and whatnot and never thought i'd make one of these myself but something caught my eye that i couldnt really ignore.
so i'm sure we've all these the infamous young byler casting call?
Tumblr media
this is a for a flashback in season 5 episode 4 (which obviously isnt out yet). i've seen a lot of talk about s5 ep7 being very important for byler but little to no mention of episode 4. i think episode 4 will mark the beginning of the byler journey throughout the season (well, more than just eye tag and flirting lmao).
this might just be. crazy. or full of myself. but. i think this is the episode that mike gets vecna'd. i know. i know that everyone (for the most part) is EAGER for mike to get vecna'd and finally come to full realization of his feelings for will and whatever else he has repressed inside of his mind. i think episode 4 will be it. why else would there be a flashback in that episode where ONLY mike has scripted lines. its fishy...real fishy. and thats not all i have to explain myself.
Tumblr media
it just so happens that the same episode the flashback happens in marks the end of volume 1. what if the end of that episode leaves us on a cliffhanger of mike being vecna'd. i see it no other way. and i know. it may be too early for this to happen in the season.... or not.
Tumblr media
episode 4 of the last season featured max facing the same challenge. so there possibility of a parallel there. i'm not sure if im on to something or on something but please feel free to add onto my theory or prove me wrong (the second option is more likely), and thank you for listening to my first ever written half assed theory !!!
