At the start of 2024, Edward Tuckwell, Laurie Avon, Sean Obrien and myself, all decided to run Brighton Half Marathon 🏃‍♀️ 

As a nice little project me and Sean Obrien collaborated on some fun sweatshirts to wear after the event 🥇 

We had, had a few conversations about doing things outside of the umbrella of art with Lucky Frog Studio

Unfortunately in the lead up to the event, a couple of us got injured and didn’t make the race 🤕 

Nonetheless it was really nice to print these sweaters 🖨️

Maybe one day we can all go for a run again❓

Last month Lucky Frog Studio opened its doors to the public as part of Brighton’s Artist Open House event.

Lucky Frog studio currently operates out of the Phoenix Art space, the Phoenix houses 120 artists, Thats a lot of artists!

Prior to this years event, everyone in the studio discussed ways in which we could stand out.

I decided that this was a fun opportunity to dust off my screen printing equipment and design and print a fun, interactive leaflet ( which had all of our details on) which members of the public could take home with them.

I’ve made a YouTube video which documents the process of making these leaflets and some of the thinking behind it, you can watch it here :)

Last week I posted a brand new YouTube video about my new client mail out 🎥 In the video I ran through everything that was in the mail out, and the ideas behind it all 🧠 As part of the mail out I included this fun greetings card that I screenprinted and cut by hand 🖐️ This greetings card comes with a tea bag, in the card I write ‘have a brew on me’. I use this greetings card as an invitation to art directors when receiving my mail out, to take a break and have a good look through everything that I’ve sent them 🫖 If you fancy watching the video about my mail out, you can watch it here..

The illustration was inspired by a question about forgetting names 🧠

People always ask me how I find work, for years I told them I would eventually get round to posting a video about it, the day has finally come! 🎥 

I’ve just posted a brand new video over on my YouTube channel where I give a few tips to help new illustrators find work. ✏️
